We've used Mixpanel a number of times to implement site analytics. It's incredibly easy to setup and get running. A great way to breakdown your analytics data from your site. Great dashboards, great reporting, and it's relatively cost efficient.

Google Analytics is the gold standard for free web analytics. As clean as it is comprehensive, this tool allows you to track, organize, and report information relatively easily.

Its not really that simple and i had to learn a lot and understand the information and set up. However as time passed,i was able to understand things better. There are so many features available, sometimes it can be a bit confusing.
