IBM's CPQ solution is built with the Order Management solution. Three modules that both CPQ and OM can use are the ATP (Available to promise) engine, RTAM (Real time availability monitoring) capabilities, and Service and Scheduling. IBM is known as a leading solution around ATP and RTAM capabilities with visibility into ERPs, warehouses, and distribution centers on top of supplier products in route that can be promised on. CPQ can also leverage the OM Service and Scheduling capabilities to schedule resources such as service techs, installation teams, or other resources based on time frames, capabilities (high voltage tech vs. low voltage tech), other resource attributes.
