Unlike major social platforms like Facebook and Twitter, a brand has complete control of their online community; from the look and feel to who can join. But most importantly an online community eliminates the middle man between brand and customer. Brands no longer have to compete for attention on a cluttered new feed. Instead brands own the experience and the customer data collected along the way.
