Since this new release completely redesigns the way users manage their networks, some features have been superseded by inherent functionality (Dashboard Viewer.exe, for example). As well, some features and capabilities are not yet supported in WhatsUp Gold 2017:

> Distributed/MSP Editions – as this functionality is not currently supported in WhatsUp Gold 2017, users of WhatsUp Gold Distributed Edition and WhatsUp Gold MSP Edition may not upgrade at this time. WhatsUp Gold 16.x will continue to be supported for these editions. Users of these editions should not attempt to upgrade to WhatsUp Gold 2017 at this time.

> Failover – this functionality is not currently supported in WhatsUp Gold 2017 but is planned for a subsequent release. Users of this functionality should not attempt to upgrade to WhatsUp Gold 2017 at this time.

> Storage Monitoring – this functionality is not currently supported in WhatsUp Gold 2017 but is planned for a subsequent release in calendar year 2016. Users of this functionality should not attempt to upgrade to WhatsUp Gold 2017 at this time.

> Dashboard Migration – in the initial release of WhatsUp Gold 2017 a Dashboard Migration tool is not available. To get the most out of the new dashboards for WhatsUp Gold 2017 it is recommended that customers recreate their dashboards via simple drag & drop functionality. A dashboard snapshot tool is available to allow a customer to view any dashboard views created in previous versions of WhatsUp Gold in a PDF format so that they can be used to recreate them in WhatsUp Gold 2017. This tool is located under Admin>View Legacy Dashboards. For detailed instructions on how to do this, please view this Legacy Dashboards video.
