How are permissions managed in FoundationIP?
FoundationIP includes a variety of different tools that customers can leverage to manage permissions for their users (internal or external).
First, any user can easily be invited to the system (internal or external) by an administrator in your organization. Note that with your FoundationIP subscription, organizations can invite an unlimited number of users.
Second, the administrator determines what organization the user belongs to, i.e. internal or a member of an external organization. Organizations can also be related to one another hierarchically to further segregate permissions (i.e. business unit A can be created as a child of a parent business unit so that a user will only see records that relate to business unit A).
Third, the administrator can determine what role the user would play for that organization. For each role, a user can customize the level of permissions (i.e. read-only for documents, edit for reports, etc.).
Lastly, FoundationIP comes with bulk update functions so that you can quickly update the roles of users, or deactivate users in bulk.
