"Key platform for internal audit"

2. To-Do List which facilitates assigning & tracking tasks and clearing them with comments once done

What do you dislike?

1. Not being able to make any changes after signing off since it becomes read-only and we need to request the admin/reviewer to remove sign-off even for making a tiny change

2. Not being able to select multiple files uploaded for deletion

This allowed our internal Audit Department to go paperless in retaining our workpapers.

"Efficiency and Visuals!"

What do you like best?

My team and I loved the value this product provides. The piggyback onto ACL desktop version allows now for more visualizations and easy to navigate interface.

What do you dislike?

I disliked the GUI although it has made massive improvements from ACL.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be weary of considering Access before ACL. ACL is one of a kind product that isn't up to par with industry standards however can perform joins on huge data sets with ease.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am solving big data issues where you cannot do this with Excel or Access.

"ACL GRC Review"

What do you like best?

Our organisation mostly use GRC Results manager for publishing exceptions. Best part is tracking of exceptions closure right from publisher name, date of publish, date of close, comments from different users and attachments.

As ACL has now added functionality to download exceptions data in ACL to analyse further, it makes us more powerful in terms of analysing comments from user, time taken to close exceptions, Aging of open exceptions and many more.

What do you dislike?

I hate Reports manager as it does not give effective dashboards.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Business problems that we are solving

1. Reconciliation of multiple ERP data specially vendors, customers and Third party information.

2. Testing of FCPA controls.

"Excellent Data Analysis Tool"

What do you like best?

This is a very robust data analysis tool that allows scripting to replicate testing without fuss. This ensures a consistent approach during our continuous review process.

What do you dislike?

This is not a user-friendly tool, requiring significant training and experience to gain comfort and proficiency.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to automate our continuous monitoring process and ability to test 100% of the population. This has allowed us to identify items that may have been missed during typical sampling.

"Effective and efficient audit system built by and for auditors"

What do you like best?

Our firm has been using ACL GRC now for several years. It is an absoutley terrific workpaper tool for our audits. First, a little background. I spent just shy of 10 years in public accounting at a big four firm doing attestation and internal audit work for clients. Then I started my own firm and we were at a loss of how to efficiently organize, prepare, share, sign-off, and archive our audit work. ACL GRC does all of these crtical and necessary parts of the audit workpapers. It is the most efficient workflow system for audits (external or internal audits), hands-down. Our firm uses this SaaS offering everyday for our audits. It is simple to use. Competing products often suffer from unnecessary complexity and relatively steep learning curves. I have used practically all the other products out in the market to some greater or lesser extent. It is always available and we have never had a problem. All you need is in Internet connection and not even a fast one at that. Seriously, this is the best audit workpaper system on the market.

What do you dislike?

The ACL GRC system works really well and I have no specific dislikes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

See comments above.
