This system is feature rich, providing a full suite of performance management tools from objectives to 121 to development to appraisal. It also provides Learning & Development, talent management, recognition and feedback functionality which is getting lots of buy in from end users. It is mobile friendly so can be used on the move which increases staff buy in. So far we have found it highly versatile and great value and would very much recommend both the software and the service provided by the support team.
It would be great to be able to deliver feedback through an app - however I believe this is on the roadmap and will be available later in the year.
Definitely speak to these guys, they have huge amounts of HR and OD experience and provide us with this as part of the service. The software is priced very competitively too.
We introduced this system to help us to embed a culture change, showing how much we value our staff by improving the quality of our performance conversations and offering improved career opportunities. The system is bringing greater focus and engagement with good buy in from staff. We hope it will help demonstrate how far we have come as a trust at our next CQC visit.
Actus is a very user friendly system and very intuitive to use. As the Project officer and being responsible for training staff on the system it has been very easy for me to do this. The support from the team over at Actus has been second to none and any queries that have arisen have been dealt with promptly. Also they have worked with us to build a system that works for us.
The data upload side of things is a bit of a struggle as it is very time consuming but this isn't a fault with the system
It is an area where all information to do with performance management can be stored throughout the the year so when it comes the the end of year appraisal conversation both the appraiser and appraisee will be better prepared and more meaningful and quality conversation can be had. We are also currently looking at moving our nurse revalidation over to Actus and from what I have seen so far this looks good.
We have been using Actus for eight months now. I have found the Support team at Actus to be very responsive to both support and development requests. As I am in Canada, there is a six hour time difference. This has really worked to our advantage, as while we are sleeping, the Actus team is answering our questions and we start the next day off with any problem already solved.
It times out a bit too quickly when one is inactive. I understand that must be for security purposes, bout it would be nice if you could manually set this.
This is a good time to make sure that all your job titles/ roles are up-to-date and they will all be uploaded from Excel.
We had several gaps that were able to be closed by using Actus. This includes documentation of the one to one meetings, tracking performance to objectives and competencies, and streamlining mid-year and year-end performance reviews. As a result of using Actus, documentation has been greatly improved and the amount of time needed to write mid-year and annual reviews has been reduced dramatically. An added bonus was that certifications that need to be reviewed on an annual basis are now automated.
Actus is a user friendly system that is easy to use and makes the transition from paper to online hassle free for managers and their teams. It is highly configurable, with a great level of admin rights given to the client so that they can create a system that works for them. The support team are responsive and very helpful. The system is designed and implemented by HR professionals and this comes through during the implementation process with excellence guidance and coaching around how to make the system work.
No dislikes discovered so far - any queries are always dealt with very quickly and resolved

The Actus system is straight forward and easy to use. The support and training received from the Team at Actus has been excellent. We still have a lot of work to do to imbed this within the organisation but I have already had some positive feedback from the team and I am convinced that if used properly we will be able to realise some real benefits from the system.
At the moment I am still getting to grips with the system so I think it would be unfair for me to comment on this at the moment.
We introduced this system to help our management teams get better at performance management and development of the team. The implementation is in its early stages but I have high hopes for the benefits that we will get from this system.
It is amazingly flexible and the support staff are so responsive and helpful.
Nothing really, the support staff will implement any changes required when requested, if possible. So even if something doesn't quite fit, they will work with you to get the best result.
I would absolutely give this system a go, it helps focus your teams on having regular 121s that can make a difference
It is helping us ensure meaningful conversations that make a difference happen on a regular basis, it was very difficult to measure what was happening previously.
