"Creation of web pages for designers"

What do you like best?

Muse is a software that surely can not replace Dremweaver, but it is an excellent tool especially for those who do not know html, css or javascript codes but still want to create web works, drawing sections directly and importing previously exported graphics from Illustrator or Photoshop. I consider it suitable especially for showcase sites.

What do you dislike?

It is not possible to realize everything that can be created thanks to programming codes, as it is also right to be. I find that Muse is too dependent on third-party widgets, as it has very few defaults, and the responsive functions are sometimes too cumbersome, although I find it very useful when you need to create web pages with engaging content.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Excellent software for those who make layouts for web or mobile devices but does not know the programming codes, so it needs to design the pages as it can in Illustrator or InDesign, with the addition of being able to insert very valid multimedia elements (slideshows, gallery, menus ...) and to be able to export in a very simple way in html.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I used Muse mainly to create showcase sites where design was very important, using widgets such as galleries, buttons, accordions and third-party slideshows. Muse is also very useful for creating landing pages or one page websites, having very good scrolling functions, and alternatively it can be used for creating prototypes.

"Simple and intuitive web design"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is suitable for websites that are easy to create and showcase sites in particular. Allows you to create web pages without necessarily knowing and writing codes such as html and css, so perfect for a designer who is unfamiliar with programming. Obviously it has different limits, but it is great for those who also use Illustrator or Photoshop.

What do you dislike?

It is not a CMS and therefore it is difficult to create a website with an administration panel or to insert news every day. Despite this, it is possible to update web pages thanks to the in-browsing editor and to a simple content management. Improved the aspect that concerns the responsive, you could insert more widgets for gallery and slideshows.

Recommendations to others considering the product

As mentioned, it can be used both by designers who do not know the various web codes, and by experts in the sector who need to create simpler pages or websites, landing pages, interactive prototypes or portfolio websites. Muse is an intuitive software that works seamlessly with Illustrator and also allows you to create responsive web pages.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With Muse I have mainly created showcase sites for my clients or landing pages with call to action. In fact it is possible to use Adobe Muse also to create the first interactive prototypes of web interfaces or smartphones, in any case it allows the creation of web pages very quickly and efficiently.

"The Adobe Muse Review"

What do you like best?

The Amazing Adobe Muse lets you create and design visually without needing to know code. It is easy to use and you can truly bring the design that's locked in your head to life on the screen. All without ever having to touch the backend of things. You marvel at the smooth capability. I simple start being more creative and engaging without thing about the tools. It's liberating. Its freeing and ultimately its allows me to be productive, which is what its all about and I can delivery great deliverables.

What do you dislike?

Although Muse is easy to use and one does not need to know code to use it, there are some drawbacks and hinderances. The code it does produce is far from perfect. There are not a lot of choices as far as drafting or designing options goes. Your pretty much stuck with only publishing and producing HTML based websites using Muse. For example, it would be nice more user friendly if we could export to a Wordpress theme or other platform choices.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's a great tool to visually design a website. However, the code is not perfect and the design is a little rigid.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We attract independent Graphic Designers who are far easier and more frequently available than we do appealing to coders only. Thus Muse is a better, affordable and more stable option for those graphic happy people to utilize on this platform and with its amazing capabilities.

"Excellent web design without writing codes"

What do you like best?

The dream of all designers a few years was to be able to create websites or web pages without having to know the web codes, such as css, javascript or php. Although Muse does not allow everything, such as Dreamweaver, this is now possible and with truly surprising and visually striking results.

What do you dislike?

Obviously not everything is possible and many things depend on widgets that allow the creation of menubars, gallery, slideshows, contact forms and more, then insert more widgets directly within Muse and optimize the use of breakpoints.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Muse is especially suitable for those who do not know web codes very well, but also for developers who value a lot and need to create very nice web pages in a short time. The results are in any case really amazing and excellent as design, too bad that the SEO is not perfect.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have made several websites showcase for customers who did not require excessive programming or the use of backends, in order to optimize the times, while still offering excellent results from the point of view of design. I purchased third-party widgets to improve my design.

"Great software without codes"

What do you like best?

I appreciate that Adobe Muse was made for the creative who is familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite. The program is very intuitive if you're familiar with the interfaces in other programs. I only had to use tutorials for a few specific things, and was able to figure out the rest by just poking around.

What do you dislike?

You can't use parallax scrolling with responsive design in the same time. Poor snapping features. When you're zoomed in it becomes slower to move objects around and they're not being snapped together as they're supposed to. All the text's has to be paragraph style unlike illustrator. If you're using opacity on mouse over for example it will create another image of the original in transparent mode and use it instead of using real css opacity option. A lot of unnececary code is being exported that in the end make your web pages run slower than they should.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give it a try does some very cool stuff. Needs to support more complicated functionality down the road but great for a start really enjoy it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Creating mobile responsive web pages while not using WordPress or other content management systems. This was one of the main benefits to using WordPress to begin with. It also allows for much more design freedom, have grown annoyed using templates with limited design options (unless you are great at coding).

"Adobe muse is a greatest software"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is a really simple web editor that enables you to develop and design websites without writing a single line of code.

Those of you who have been using computers for years now will surely remember Frontpage, the easy web editor created by Microsoft. Adobe Muse is in a way the heir to that program: a totally visual web editor with which you can create websites just like you write a paper on a word processor.

Creating websites in Adobe Muse is just a question of adding text and images, dragging and dropping elements around, and using the program’s drop-down and floating menus to customize options. No coding or developing skills required! The websites you can create are not very complex, but perfectly fine for a newbie.

What do you dislike?

The font UI displays an automatically generated list of recently used fonts. The number of recently used fonts to display can be configured and list can be cleared.

"Design your web without codes!"

What do you like best?

The ease of designing a website without the need to apply codes, is a great tool for designing simple and small static webpages. It has great features like parallax scrolling and responsive design. The best the compatibility with the rest of the adobe products. You can create an icon/logo with illustrator or edit and mockup a photo in photoshop and easily carry it over. Muse is not as robust as Dreamweaver, but is more easy to use.

What do you dislike?

The code output isn't clean, so if someone needs to edit the site later in HTML it is complicated. If you were not accustomed to Adobe products, you may have challenges learning the program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

if you are looking for an easy-to-use software that allows you to obtain professional results, Adobe Muse is the best option on the market. Its price in relation to benefits is quite accessible, an investment that will pay off for the company and with which it will provide satisfaction to customers.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adobe Muse has allowed us to develop websites "landing page" quickly, I'm using Adobe muse for small projects and projects that require specific design with no special site effects. The best thing about Muse is its ability to create a site in under an hour. With Muse, I don't have to worry about code at all, which saves me tons of time.

"Design your web graphically without the need for codes!"

What do you like best?

The ease of designing a website without the need to apply codes, the intuitiveness of its interface and the integration with the other tools of the Adobe suite.

What do you dislike?

The impossibility of editing files when they are created in different versions, since if you do it in a 32bit version you will not be able to edit it in a 64bit version.

Recommendations to others considering the product

My recommendation for those designers or users of the Adobe Suite who wish to develop websites in html, but who do not have the ability to manage codes, is to start working with Adobe Muse. Since it allows to design websites from a visual environment, that is, 90% of the work will be done under the graphic composition, very similar to doing a work in Adobe Photoshop, manipulating images and texts, as well as an extensive variety of plugins and widgets that will undoubtedly allow the user to work harmoniously and without problems.

Therefore, if you are looking for an easy-to-use software that allows you to obtain professional results, Adobe Muse is the best option on the market. Its price in relation to benefits is quite accessible, an investment that will pay off for the company and with which it will provide satisfaction to customers.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adobe Muse has allowed us to develop websites "one page" quickly, allowing us to gain time obtaining high performance results, which has translated into the satisfaction of our customers.

"WEB Design for people with no coding experience"

What do you like best?

Muse is a great tool for designing simple and small static webpages. It has great features like parallax scrolling, responsive design, widgets etc. It is really simple to get started with and to use especially if you're familiar with adobe software.

What do you dislike?

You can't use parallax scrolling with responsive design in the same time. Poor snapping features. When you're zoomed in it becomes slower to move objects around and they're not being snapped together as they're supposed to. All the text's has to be paragraph style unlike illustrator. A lot of unnececary code is being exported that in the end make your web pages run slower than they should.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Adobe muse really does what it claims to do. Is it perfect? no! But if you want to create your own website without coding or using wordpress or other software like it than Muse is the way to go. There are a lot of templates out there free and premium that can be customized and a lot of widgets also that can make your website just like professional websites out there. and yes, Muse gets better and better with every update

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I'm using Adobe muse just for small projects and projects that require specific design with no special site effects. It really is a useful tool for 25 percent of all the web design projects that I get

"Very Easy to Use"

What do you like best?

The best thing about muse is it's ease of use and the compatibility with the rest of the adobe products. You can create an icon/logo with illustrator or edit and mockup a photo in photoshop and easily carry it over. It definitely has that ease of use when designing on the blank canvas, just like when you design in illustrator.

What do you dislike?

One thing that I dislike like is the code it writes. It's easy to carry it over into dream weaver and clean it up, but not so easy with other programs (like Wordpress). If it converted over easier to customize code as easy as it is to visual create things in here, it would vastly improve this program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be familiar with Adobe Products and practice with their library of tutorials. Great program to practice building websites on if you want to gain some experience in this profession.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The benefits I have experienced with Muse is the ease of use and the convenience of already having access with creative cloud. I'm fairly new to designing websites so having all of the familiarities, like tools and layout, of photoshop and illustrator make it easy to quickly design or mockup a website.

The best thing about Muse is its ability to create a site in under an hour. Yes you can do that with website builders like wix and square, but with those sites you are restricted with using templates. With muse you have full creative control.

"Great tool for the web-minded designer who lacks coding skills"

What do you like best?

I appreciate that Adobe Muse was made for the creative who is familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite. The program is very intuitive if you're familiar with the interfaces in other programs. I only had to use tutorials for a few specific things, and was able to figure out the rest by just poking around.

What do you dislike?

There are limitations to building a website this way. Responsive web design is the norm nowadays, and it can get pretty clunky when you're trying to make things responsive using a program like Muse or using anything other than code.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Squarespace is really another valuable option to consider if you dont have a ton of time to sink into the learning curve.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I built my entire portfolio site from scratch using Muse. It's very rewarding and offers a high level of customization. My site feels much more personal and I'm able to achieve exactly what I want. It feels great to not use a template.

"Web pages without writing code"

What do you like best?

Surely the best quality of Muse is to draw web pages without knowing html or css code, but inserting graphic elements just like with Illustrator, obviously with the difference of being able to insert multimedia elements or widgets.

What do you dislike?

In some cases it becomes a bit cumbersome and does not handle very well some elements, especially when the pages become responsive, moreover you should insert more widgets to allow more choice to the designer

Recommendations to others considering the product

You can create landing pages or showcase sites that do not require the use of admin panels or dynamic functions. Especially recommended for designers who do not like to write html, css or javascript code and have to make websites that are not too complex.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I mainly create landing pages or showcase sites for my clients with satisfactory results and in no time, all without knowing html code.

"User friendly, flexible and open"

What do you like best?

I love that there is flexibility to design a website using familiar tools from other Adobe Creative Cloud programs (mainly InDesign and Illustrator) without worrying about having to deal with code. Muse makes it easy to create a modern-looking website, with optimal browser-friendliness. It is also fairly user friendly. After going through the tutorials Adobe provided, I was able to jump right in from scratch. The option to preview your work at any time without saving or exporting makes it very easy to tweak things, make adjustments and learn what works and what doesn't.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, I'm not sure what there is to dislike at this point- I am new to this program, and still have much to learn. Some of the vocabulary is new to me, but I think just spending more time in the program will answer some of my questions. I do wish the User Guide included a simple vocab list for some of the self-taught designers like myself. It would also be really handy to be able to add dummy Lorem Ipsum text to a container, like you can with InDesign.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is a great alternative to using website builders like SquareSpace and Wix if you have some design knowledge, and want complete freedom in building your website.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am not proficient at coding, so Muse does the job for me. I understand just enough about coding to know what I'm looking for, but not enough to be able to work quickly and efficiently. With Muse, I don't have to worry about code at all, which saves me tons of time.

"Muse is legendary."

What do you like best?

What I like best about muse is how amazingly simple it is to grasp, but how complex and intelligent the tools can be, through further training and exploration of the software.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes Muse can throw a wrench in your workflow by forcing you to stop and adjust proprietary systems, which can be a nuisance (I.e. Breakpoints, page fluidity, etc), but this just takes some simple getting-used-to.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's amazing software, but be patient with it; take your time learning and understanding the tools and build a great foundation for your web projects, because you don't want to have to fix something on the base of your project, when the project is near-completion.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The business problems that I am solving with Adobe Muse are that instead of outsourcing web work, which can be extremely expensive, I am able to design a pretty stunning, state-of-the-art website in-house. The benefits are numerous: Upkeep is quick and painless due to it being my own design, monitoring and adjusting is done with a couple clicks of the mouse; it's great!

"Good software"

What do you like best?

I like that it makes web design very straight forward. If you have no coding skills it is fairly easy to learn the software, especially if you have use other Adobe software. I found that the interaction between other Adobe products is great, with the exception of Dreamweaver. There is a very familiar feel to the software which makes it easy to jump right in, with a bit of previous knowledge of Adobe software.

What do you dislike?

The code output isn't super clean, so if someone needs to edit the site later in HTML it is a bit complicated. I would rate the program much higher if the code output were better, and if it were easier to go between Muse and Dreamweaver. In general the software isn't great with anything code related. There have absolutely been improvements, but it still needs work. As they continue to work on HTML issues in the software I will revisit my review.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you never plan on coding a site, it is a great tool, but going from Muse to Dreamweaver is cumbersome, and the code often needs work.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Building websites with no coding experience. If you are good with inDesign you should be able to pick up Muse easily. It does make building a nice website easier, especially if you aren't concerned with the code output. Aesthetically it works quite well. I really look forward to seeing what Adobe does with it in the future.

"ADOBE MUSE | FANTASTIC FOR SMALL BUSINESSES"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse allows "non-coders" to create dynamic websites by simply designing individual pages, similar to designing in Illustrator or InDesign. Easy to understand with an Adobe "background" and a great platform to build my e-commerce website.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, there is nothing I dislike about Adobe Muse, however I'm very familiar with Adobe products. If you were not accustomed to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc., you may have challenges learning the program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're comfortable with other Adobe products; i.e.: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, etc. then you can be successful with Adobe Muse. Otherwise, there might be a learning curve - but there are great resources for learning Adobe Muse; videos, guides, etc.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I've been able to build a dynamic website for a boutique food company, including e-commerce capability from a third party application. Understanding Adobe products allowed me to easily navigate Adobe Muse. I've benefitted from Adobe Muse as I was able to design a website with my aesthetic and branding without having to outsource the wotk

"Adobe Muse for Custom Websites"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is easy to use but allows for easy customizations. It also allows for easy set up of responsive sites. Adobe Muse is user friendly and the work flow makes sense when laying out pages for desktop, table and mobile settings.

What do you dislike?

I sometimes had trouble connecting to my hosting account to upload the sites created - I don't know where the error occurred. Laying out the initial grid from scratch can be a little tricky and Adobe's quick tutorials are helpful but often over simplify what you need to actually create for yourself. On both my macbook pro and imac I can only be working with Adobe Muse and nothing else or it lags and freezes, both have been updated and handle

Recommendations to others considering the product

Consider your skill level and needs. I have found that using a template for Adobe Muse is helpful but I also work with other site builders based on clients needs and budget

"I'm a Muser!"

What do you like best?

I love the freedom to design a site and it turns out exactly as I want it! I used to hand-code back in the day and that's time consuming. I've also tried templates and found them VERY restricting and frustrating! With Muse, I can focus on my passion and expertise, designing, and leave the rest to Muse!

What do you dislike?

The ability to further minify the code would be fantastic. I'm not crazy about having inline styles, but that comes from my days of handcoding, when you HAD to have beautiful code. Nowadays, it seems, with use of Wordpress, Shopify, Squarespace, and other templates, the code is ugly anyway.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give it a shot! It's a glorious way to design sites and with the ease of your typical Adobe interface! I love it!

"Like it more than Dreamweaver."

What do you like best?

Dreamweaver was cool for what it is. If you're a hardcore want you hand in everything kind of designer than go for Dreamweaver. If you like being limited to what you can do from a creative perspective (or just be a master at coding) then go for Dreamweaver. However you like to just do what you want (while practicing good design, that you learned in college) then Muse is for you. It's basically like the Adobe Illustrator of web design. You can you just jump right in and get design how exactly you want things to be. You can even create links upon links of web pages. IT'S GREAT! If you want to know what the page looks like then Muse is the way to go. Dreamweaver allows you to see the code. Muse displays the design better. It actually emphasizes the design.

What do you dislike?

I really dislike when it crashes. One time I got so deep in a concept for a site that I forgot to save, and wouldn't you know, it crashed. So I had to recreate it, but it's was all good. Recovery got most of what I did. However for some reason for me, when it recovers lost data, it never recovers most of it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

PREVENT CRASHING!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I can get away from code and focus on the design. So I can design better sites because I'm not distracted with how the code is or waiting for the code I just set to mess something up. It allows productivity at work!

"The dream for every designer who does not know the web codes"

What do you like best?

Before Muse I had only created graphical interfaces with Photoshop, because I do not know web programming, but thanks to this software I finally created my own beautiful web pages and even entire sites for my clients.

What do you dislike?

I would like more choices regarding the use of gallery or other plu-ins in general because they would greatly enrich the web pages. What is not good is that it is not always possible to use the scrolling effects, which in some cases are disabled.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If, like me, you are not a developer, you must necessarily try Adobe Muse to create beautiful web pages without using code, creating professional-looking websites.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was able to create websites from myself, without knowing programming codes, and without the help of developers, after having designed the graphic interfaces with Photoshop.

"Great For Simple Websites With Some Limitations"

What do you like best?

Muse is great from a designers perspective, making creative layouts has never been simpler. It sometimes feels like your using Illustrator or Photoshop more so than web development software. Great additional widgets (free and affordable options) to create some truly fancy looking designs. One of the coolest features is the ability to create responsive web pages easily through breakpoints. There is a bit of a learning curve but plenty of tutorials on Youtube to learn the basics. Oh and clients can do their own simple updates as well, easier than Wordpress or other CMS. Uploading to FTP is awesome no Filezilla or SmartFTP required.

What do you dislike?

There should be better support for creating blogs or e-commerce functionality. This is a necessity in a lot of cased meaning you won't be using it for more complicated websites. That fact that you can't access code mode easily sucks, especially for SEO. Forgivable but hope they make improvements here...

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give it a try does some very cool stuff. Needs to support more complicated functionality down the road but great for a start really enjoy it.

"Powerful tools for your next website"

What do you like best?

The software offers you a lot of powerful tools that let you to create a great and high customizable website. If you don't want to create your own assets, or you do not have the time to, you can find images, templates and widgets created by the community. And of course you can use it. Some of these are free, but you have to pay for the majority of them.

What do you dislike?

"A great software for virtually no investment!"

What do you like best?

Muse is very user-friendly and allowed my small business to be up and running very quickly. As a part of the Creative Cloud, it does not cost anything additional to use based on the monthly subscription.

What do you dislike?

When the software first came out there were some bugs, just like any software would have. Adobe, however, worked hard to get these resolved and has done a great job in keeping the software up to date and hassle-free.

Recommendations to others considering the product

"Web Design. For the Designer. "

What do you like best?

The ability to make a shape move by simply getting the selection tool, selecting the shape, and moving it without having to write code. Let's face it, coding isn't for everybody, especially designers, Adobe Muse is in my opinion the easiest way to create websites with very little to no code whatsoever.

What do you dislike?

The compatibility issues. Unfortunately, Muse is not compatible with all platforms such as the older versions of Internet Explorer and Androids, which can be quite an issue if you're creating websites that would require those platforms. Muse is also mainly intended for basic websites with no more than 10-12 pages, anything more than that can be too complex for Muse.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Creating very user-friendly websites with much more ease. Without the reliability of developers, Muse can create quite compelling websites at a more affordable rate, solving the very same problems in a more swift, yet effective manner.

"Great tool for Prototyping"

What do you like best?

This is a great tool for designers without coding experience. It allows you to design directly in the app and then export working code that you can use in a website. You can import files from other Adobe products as well, but its not required.

Adobe Muse is a great product to experiment with if you have access to the CC library of products.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adobe Muse allows designers to create working prototypes of their designs without any coding knowledge or using any outside programs. This saves time and potentially consolidates multiple roles into one. You can design in the program and output a prototype directly. No need to change between multiple programs.

"Web Design Tool Made With Web Designers in Mind"

What do you like best?

It just fits like a glove when it comes to designing web pages. They provide widgets that are fully customizable so as to get it to look and function the exact way your project needs it to. It interacts seamlessly with all the other Adobe products that you might be using to create assets.

What do you dislike?

It really puts a wrench in my process to not have the capability to create a blog right within Muse. The work arounds are messy and confusing.

Recommendations to others considering the product

For those that are used to the work flow of other Adobe products as well as those used to the interface and how tools work there is a lot of over lap so it will be very easy for them to pick up and start producing quickly.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's a great way to plan out the flow and usage of new products. Wireframe, prototype and interact with it as if its fully functional site or app.

"The middle-man between graphic and web page design"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is a niche software that fits almost perfectly in with graphic designers who need to design a web page with limited or no coding knowledge. What Adobe Muse does, it does fairly well. You can design a web page using a graphic-oriented approach, piece by piece. Then, Muse will take your design, and allow you to export to HTML. Adobe Muse is great for those acquainted with other Adobe design software as it utilizes a similar user interface layout compared to Photoshop and Illustrator, with familiar tools and functions migrating over to this newer software.

What do you dislike?

Muse is best suited for minimalist designs, sometimes struggling to convert more intricate layouts correctly into HTML. This can sometimes cause problems when viewing in browser, sometimes producing a variety of issues depending on the device or browser the page is viewed on. The software can also add clunky, unnecessary code when converting into a functional design.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would only recommend Adobe Muse to those considering creating a personal web site or a site for a small organization or business. Muse does it's best work with simple designs without too many bells and whistles. Also, Adobe Muse has limited functionality compared to creating a website traditionally with code. Time permitting, it's arguably better to learn and make the jump over to Adobe Dreamweaver which also has design-oriented functionality, but will also allow you to view and edit code as you construct the layout.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a digital media manager for a small, non-profit organization, I am responsible for overseeing all things media related (video production, graphic design, web site design, etc). Adobe Muse has been beneficial because I have been able to develop and maintain a simple, but efficient website with limited knowledge of coding. Also, with Adobe Muse being included with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, our organization can utilize the software we already have available, without needing to purchase another software or web-service subscription.

"Adobe Muse Review"

What do you like best?

I like that the interface is similar to other Adobe programs, so it makes it simple to use the tools and transition assets between the CC libraries, etc. I am also a novice at coding, so I like that there is no coding required to use Muse for web design and front end development. There are many good resources for learning tricks for Muse, so it has been very easy for me to use thus far. I would recommend Adobe Muse to anyone looking for a comprehensive web design program.

What do you dislike?

There isn't much that I dislike about Adobe Muse, I find switching back and forth between Muse, XD, and other Adobe programs works well. My only complaint is that the sites aren't strictly responsive, and although I do not write much code myself, I have heard complaints that the coding is poor on the back end. Despite these few issues, overall I think the product is very comprehensive and useful.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend Adobe Muse

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I work with someone who does all their wireframing in InDesign, so helping them transition into Muse has been fairly simple. I also find it beneficial to use Muse, as it is so easy to pull mockups, images, graphics, etc from other Adobe programs into Muse, rather than using a web based program.

"You can make your dream website!"

What do you like best?

I like the interface of Muse because the keys are very apparent and it is user friendly. Once you get the hang of the basic keys, you can easily start playing around with the program to get what you want for your website. I also love the easy features it has when toggling back and forth from the home page to sister pages, as well as being able to view in the browser!

What do you dislike?

I definitely wish it had a blog attached to the program because I would rather make my own blog through Muse and be able to create a page for it on Muse instead of having to use another blogging website.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I needed to create my portfolio as well as my personal website with Muse and I was able to create those two things with Muse. Thanks to the easiness of the program and being able to use widgets really helped!

"Adobe Muse Review"

What do you like best?

Great WYSIWYG web site software! Being a designer, I'm not up to speed on the programming side of websites, nor do I want to be. If you're familiar with Adobe products, the learning curve is very slight, so you be up and running very quickly. Lots of 3rd party templates and features to choose from as well. Really changes designing websites from a chore, to something you can really "design". I highly recommend!

What do you dislike?

Haven't come across much I dislike. It's not as friendly with other Adobe programs as I'd like it to be, but I think moving forward that will be worked out. Would be nice if the login FTP info was linked to the actual design file, so that it would access when moved to a different computer.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Has really given me the ability to quickly and easily update my own website, as well as letting me add more website services to offer my clients.

"Alternative web creation software"

What do you like best?

As someone who learned web design from Adobe GoLive (a million years ago!), Muse seems like a more logical stepping stone than Dreamweaver was. Muse has a nice WYSIWYG setup and easy solutions for form processing.

What do you dislike?

Muse is not as robust as Dreamweaver, so knowing Dreamweaver, I don't really have a use for Muse. If I want an easy, drag and drop editor, there are others out there that are free and have a sleeker look and feel (like Mobirise, for example).

Recommendations to others considering the product

An ok stepping stone web creation program, but I would put my time into learning more coding or use a free WYSIWYG web creation program.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our employees with no coding background are able to create websites and web contact forms. We've been able to create more websites because our graphic designers with Adobe familiarity can be up and running on Muse rather easily.

"My favorite web designing tool!!!"

What do you like best?

I love the fact that Adobe Muse was created for designers who aren't big into coding. I am self taught in all areas of design so when I started using Muse, I was able to get through the short learning curve pretty quickly.

What do you dislike?

I build our company website in Muse and it is quite large. Unfortunately, because of the size of the sight and the assets, Muse can sometimes lag. I use several other Adobe products and I never experience the lagging.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are not a coder, you should use Adobe Muse. It is very powerful, easy to use, and if you are already using other Adobe software, this fits right in and works really well. There are a lot of ways to build a site now a days, but Muse has so much power behind it with great features, that it's hard to want to use another program.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I used Muse to build our company website. It is 242 pages and using Muse has probably cut half of the time out of building it. The templates in Muse are super easy to use and building a responsive sight was pretty simple.

"Muse: Efficient web design capabilities without the hassle of learning how to code. "

What do you like best?

I love the ability to quickly and efficiently build a site or microsite and have it live within minutes with Muse's easy export and upload functionality. Muse does a great job of organizing your files upon export, separating your assets into HTML, CSS, image, and font folders, like a real developer would do. I also love the ability to have a master slide for designs, so things like navigation bar, menu, header, footer, etc can stay consistent across all pages of your project.

What do you dislike?

Some of the design features in Adobe Muse are a little difficult to manage. Unless you are using perfectly ordered and labeled layers, things can get tricky when trying to select one object over another within the design tools. If you are organized with your layers, you won't have as much of a problem. Also, Muse does not offer as many design tools as lets say Illustrator or InDesign, so in some cases one will have to create graphics within one of these other programs and import into Muse. The lack of compatibility across multiple Adobe programs can get frustrating.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are considering Adobe Muse for personal use, make use of online tutorials, as it's not as intuitive of a program as say Adobe Illustrator. If you are considering Adobe Muse for business purposes, make sure to organize files according to create ease of use across multiple users, platforms, etc.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adobe Muse is a great resource for creating apps and micro sites without having to have extensive knowledge of HTML and CSS. The ability to be able to design and create a mobile responsive website without being a developer is huge benefit to companies big and small. This gives businesses the option to allow their graphic designers to create websites!

"Adobe Muse review"

What do you like best?

The interface is pretty intuitive - and familiar to users of Adobe products. So having it being a part of the Adobe ecosystem is a big plus in terms of onboarding and getting familiar. It also is updated frequently enough with new bells and whistles.

What do you dislike?

Adobe announced that they will stop developing Muse, so it’s become a dinosaur program, soon to be extinct - sad :(

Recommendations to others considering the product

With news that Adobe is no longer going to add anymore improvements in the future, the future of Muse seems to be a bit uncertain. It's good for what it is - wondering if it'll soon go the way of Flash and other discontinued Adobe products. Sad, but I guess this is progress?

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Set up one-off microsites here and there. Gives you more flexibility and allows for more creativity than an out of the box solution (i.e. Weebly or Squarespace) - though even there, the competition keeps improving and making it easier. It's definitely more complicated - which is both a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the user.

"Muse may seem fairly complicated for non-designers"

What do you like best?

All in all, Muse looks, performs and feels just like any other Adobe product. So, if you happened to work in InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop, the interface won’t scare you away. Adobe Muse employs the drag-and-drop editing principle which also simplifies the creation process.

What do you dislike?

Adobe Muse has no ready-to-use templates – Muse gives you a blank canvas, which means you’ll have to design headers, navigation, buttons, footers and more from scratch. While that’s okay for designers, it can be a burden for other users.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The good news is that there are many designers who create and sell templates tailored specially for Adobe Muse.

Adobe Muse features best templates providers on the Resources page. Some of the highly-trusted resources for Muse designers are Muse-Themes, MuseFree, Musegain, and museGrid among other approved providers, some bringing entirely free design resources including graphics, time saving starter templates, and other library files.

But you should always be aware from purchasing or downloading themes from unknown resources, as they may contain a specific code that may cause damage to your website in future.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

If you use the same copy throughout your website, you no longer need to edit each place where it’s used. With this feature, all your edits will automatically synchronize across your site. Additionally, you can take advantage of the Find and replace feature to search for words and then replace them across all pages including the mobile version.

"Elegant Results with minimal effort, especially if you're already used to Adobe software"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse delivers on the promise of being able to produce beautiful and very customized websites with almost zero coding while producing fairly bloat-free generated code. You really can create a website using basically the same set of skills as designing a poster or brochure in InDesign or Photoshop.

What do you dislike?

Adobe is rather slow in their development cycles and major updates to the program seem to lag, especially with Adobe Muse. It either isn't high on their priority list of software development or perhaps it is a harder application to develop.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Muse is best for static websites, but not for blogs or interactive catalogs, etc., which require a database for the back end. Simple websites which are the equivalent of a brochure, or restaurant menu, or a small business, is perfect for this application.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Adobe Muse in conjunction with other technologies and platforms, depending on the website, and we've found that if you want to quickly put a site together but not use something like WordPress, Adobe Muse will do the job promptly and efficiently. Once you move through the learning curve, it is easy and intuitive, and even if you do know how to code, Muse will spoil you by what you can put together with far less time and effort. Also, it has built-in support for responsive design, which is a must nowadays.

"It's not supported anymore :("

What do you like best?

I used Muse when it was first released to the public, and while it was an okay design tool, it wasn't really powerful. Since then, it grew into having a myriad of features, including responsive layouts, which was critical for mobile design. It is easy to pick up and learn, but unfortunately, that's about all I can say about it's positive features.

What do you dislike?

It's very focused around the concept of widgets, so you need to know how to develop those yourself or rely on other sources for these widgets. It's being discontinued by Adobe soon, so it's probably not the best idea to pick it up if you've never used it before.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I'd check out other comparable software first. WordPress is much more code oriented but has a much more expansive library of extensions and widgets. Adobe's Animate (formerly Flash) now exports to HTML and seems likely to replace Muse, but I cannot speak to it's ability to create responsive designs.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We haven't used Muse much outside of mild prototyping and exploring the software.

"I have been using Adobe Muse for over 5 years and designed a number of websites."

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is very easy to bring in assets from other programs and create a website very quickly and very easily. You can also edit your page to work responsively, to animate, add in widgets and get an amazing range of results.

What do you dislike?

I do feel that sometimes it can be unclear, when you design something and then go to preview it. Sometimes the results in the preview aren't clear as to what has gone wrong and what can be done.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Once gain, with most adobe products, I'd recommend looking through the Adobe tutorials or even looking online for some. Also you can find some really cool widgets to use to get some cool results.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

At the minute, it is very easy to use Muse to create pages to link to our current site. It is also so easy to bring in animations and widgets to get cool results as well as vectors from Illustrator.

"Good for quick websites that don't need loads of functionaility"

What do you like best?

• Like the way you can quickly build responsive pages that work across multiple devices

• prebuilt content blocks are pretty flexible and allow you to add modern website features such as accordions slideshows

• Easy to add some nice css3 animations and movement to the page

• Working with images is also a pleasant experience and there are great ways of adding scroll effects to add another layer of interest

• Great syncing between other adobe apps so moving content between photoshop etc is easy

making Page element responsive is easy

What do you dislike?

• Building buttons can be a bit clunky

• Working with content across breakpoint can be time consuming and sometimes elements overlap each other for no apparent reason but its quicker than building with dreamweaver etc

• Could do with more content blocks so you don't need to do any "hacking" to get them suitable for your use

• The files that are exported are not the cleanest in terms of scripting and code syntax but that is the same with all visual web builders that i have used.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make use of all the free templates and add ons that are available in the marketplace and muse could dwell become your goto product for a quick website build.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adobe Muse offers a incredible flexibility for front end design of a professional website. Muse allows for quick and easy responsive design options, creating complete flexibility for how you present your website to your audience.

What do you dislike?

The biggest struggle with Adobe Muse is combining both the front end and back end design.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Adobe Muse provides a great start for those who are experienced in website design, or those who have no experience at all. It provided a valid foundation basis for websites front end design, as well as back end implementation.

"Immediate websites without writing code"

What do you like best?

Very simple to use, Adobe Muse allows you to create websites without writing a line of code. This is not an HTML editor, in fact there is no need to program anything because everything is done by inserting graphic elements as you do with Illustrator. Obviously inside it has widgets that allow you to realize different functions and allow interactivity with the user, such as slider, slideshows, contact forms, gallery, menubar, google maps. Not for complex websites, but very useful for non-programmers.

What do you dislike?

Obviously it has some shortcomings, but it is normal that this is so because it allows you to create complete web pages even if you can not intervene on the code. In some cases web pages appear slow, responsiveness sometimes gives problems but, above all, it seems that Adobe has interrupted software upgrades.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Hoping that Adobe continues to produce this software, which for me remains unique, I can say that Muse is suitable for all designers who are not very practical in programming and who want to build websites or web pages thanks to the use of Photoshop and Illustrastrator, with satisfactory results.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I used Adobe Muse to create landing pages that do not require great programming and that need a great visual impact, things that Muse does very well, especially when used in combination with Illustrator and Photoshop. In any case, I have included elements such as gallery or contact forms for the release of data by the user.

"Good way to start without writing code with already familiar Adobe UI"

What do you like best?

The best part is the design flexibility without code, and recently the responsive fluid layout feature to design for responsive experience.

Recently have started experimenting creating animated infographics with the scroll effects, and it gives some pretty awesome results. Love it as it allows to create single page infographic site for my corporate clients. The animated button rollover also comes in very handy for this.

What do you dislike?

Gets slow when building large sites, especially with more pages and images. I am not a programmer, so it seems the code it generates, needs to addressed by Adobe Muse team.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Its a good to start with if you are building small sites, visually rich with great typography controls. But for large and multi page sites, its slow to load.

Give it a try creating interactive infographics, its an awesome tool to do it. Just think outside the box when using this software, away form creating the traditional websites.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Any design problem for my clients, from retail to hospitality to corporate, from concept to execution in creating total brand experience across various touch points.

"Unfortunate Loss"

What do you like best?

Muse is one of the best WYSIWYG editors there has ever been. but hopefully, not the best there will ever be. Being able to design a website like you'd design a printed page is my favorite aspect of Muse. It has similar characteristics to Indesign, making it extremely designer-friendly.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that they're ending it! It is such a loss for numerous designers who have invested a lot of time to learn the program and also even designers who have made clients websites. Those designers may not know how to code, so when you tell them they're website will stop being useful to them in a few years - it's extremely disheartening.

Recommendations to others considering the product

"Suitable for those who don't know web codes"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is a good software to create web pages only on the design side, not even writing a line of html or css code, as it provides him to translate in code what is done in the planning and designing boards. Obviously it is a bit 'limited in the functions because it is neither Dreamweaver nor Wordpress, but thanks to the widgets it is possible to create websites that are still excellent from the visual point of view.

What do you dislike?

Not being a CMS, the pages created can not be changed by customers, even if you have entered the In-browser editing function, which is very limited, and also does not allow you to rename the DIVs and then find them easily if you want to change further the web pages with Dreamweaver.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Suitable and recommended especially for those who do not create web pages using codes like html, css, javascript or php, it is excellent functionality that allows responsive design, even if not very simple in use. A software that allows you to create beautiful showcase sites or attractive landing pages.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When you need to create web pages or showcase sites as showcases, without needing to constantly change the pages, Muse can be the right choice, and I have used it just to make this happen. Also great for creating storytelling pages or landing pages with call to action, thanks also to responsive.

"Improving constantly"

What do you like best?

You can begin a plan from a Photoshop layout and create it in the two devices. I like the plan format and layouts you can make and apply on each progression of outline. Programmed instrument bars with hyperlinks is next incredible thing I adore about Muse.

What do you dislike?

There are still loads of thing that staff at Adobe should search for in the following updates of Muse. I for one imagine that one of the thing they should endeavor to make genuine is the capacity of thoroughly coordinate a kind of CMS, something that enables individuals to configuration full websites.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Best tool in the market right now to make straightforward sites and smaller scale destinations.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

By making the site simpler and quicker, it enables a website specialist to have the capacity to charge the independent venture less. "Muse takes the headache out of web design."

What do you like best?

If you're looking for a simple web design solution then Adobe Muse is definitely an option. The drag and drop editor, built in plugins and simple connectivity makes creating website fun. You can get a website up and running in no time and it actually will look good. There are already a number of Muse templates out there, which all show off the potential of this program. If you want to get creating again, instead of get headaches as to why something has moved, then Muse is a great application.

What do you dislike?

If I had to mention anything negative about Adobe Muse it would have to be that sometimes it is 'too' simple. It becomes a lot more work if you want to stray away from the templates and built in plug ins. Though it can achieve complex wesbites with some work, I don't think this is it's primary strength and would stick to simple web design.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend Muse for designers looking create good looking sites without the headache of coding. It's not really designed for the deeper level stuff, but it can be achieved and could ultimately bring the best of both if you're willing to persevere.

What do you like best?

Though at first I was apprehensive about Adobe Muse's claim to make web design more simpler, I was pleasantly surprised. With all the built in plugins, drag and drop functionality and other features Muse helps you create great looking sites relatively simply.

What do you dislike?

You do have to tie yourself into Adobe's infrastructure somewhat and sometimes it's not always easy to step out of it. Though it's easy to use, you will find it limited if you are looking to do that 'extra' thing if it isn't available to you.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would love to see more coming to Adobe Muse, but it is still a great program and has a lot of potential. If you're looking for something that will help you create great looking websites, without the coding and extensive testing then this will help you out so much.

What do you dislike?

"Building Sites in Adobe Muse Review"

What do you like best?

I like the easy integration between the various Adobe Creative Cloud products; Photoshop, Stock, etc. I really enjoy the user controls and interface; I design a lot in Adobe InDesign and Muse's interface closely follows InDesign. I also like all of the various vendors out there that have many different (and awesome) templates/widgets already created that make it simple to build very professional sites; without CODING. The software excels in ease of use; allowing us to easily, and quickly, pull resources from many different sources right within Muse.

What do you dislike?

I do not like the way it interfaces with Adobe Business Catalyst (BC). There is some coding that has to be done to "round-trip" forms and e-commerce functionality. The interface continues to improve with Business Catalyst. Due to proprietary code associated with Muse, it is also difficult to round-trip it to Adobe Dreamweaver. When building very large sites, Muse loads very slowly, so, there can be quite a delay in getting started. Also, when the changed Muse file is saved back out to the Adobe Business Catalyst servers, it wants to re-export ALL pages, instead of just pages that have changed.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Buy it!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have solved several work-flow challenges through MUSE/Adobe BC. Even though BC is a "marketing/CRM" platform, it's functionality can be applied across many different scenarios/working environments...workflow, CRM, business imaging, etc.

"Web design for beginners"

What do you like best?

It is very simple to use because it has an intuitive interface and a system of "tutorials" so to speak, which helps new users to become familiar with the program. As an interface, it is quite similar to several Adobe programs, which facilitates even more familiarization. The mechanism to build websites is based on dragging add-ons from the interface, which makes it an ideal program for those who do not have knowledge in programming languages.

What do you dislike?

To work at a professional or advanced level, it is quite obsolete, since not having a design mechanism based on web design languages, it is almost impossible to create a website with optimal features, since correcting errors in it would become quite annoying because you should look for the error without the possibility of entering some code. Its price is quite high for what the program really is.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is a very simple application to use and is very good for those who are just beginning in the world of web design. Although Adobe provides a considerable testing period, there are other programs such as Google Web Designer that fulfill the same functions as Muse and can be obtained for free.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In itself, Muse has not helped me at all, since the application serves in my work, so I do not include it as one of my work tools, besides I have only used it a few times to test it and know how works.

"Easy to Use for Designers"

What do you like best?

The best part about Adobe Muse is a designer with very little coding knowledge can create and launch a fully functional responsive website without a developer. You can add all the bells and whistles of a modern website with just your knowledge of design. The responsive site has much fewer issues than most coded WordPress sites that I have worked with.

What do you dislike?

Adobe Catalyst can be very cumbersome when launching your site. There is a pretty high learning curve when getting to know Muse and while it has many great features I feel like some are more difficult to use than those within other builders such as WordPress.

Recommendations to others considering the product

While there are many built in features there is still a pretty good learning curve, I would take some Lynda courses to really get to know and understand what Muse has to offer.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When I need to design a site on a budget that doesn't allow for hiring a developer it is the perfect tool. The main benefit is the extent of creativity allowed and the functionality Muse has embedded in it's platform.

"Fast and simple without needing to code"

What do you like best?

Entirely visual method of creating websites, ideal for a designer as opposed to a programmer.

What do you dislike?

Even though a more visual platform allows me to be more productive, I still sometimes miss being able to manipulate a few things like I would in Dreamweaver.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Easiest professional website creation that I have used. If you use InDesign or Photoshop, this will feel very familiar to you.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Much faster and friendlier website creation versus using Dreamweaver. I am able to create a page or entire website very quickly to get feedback from the client, whereas in Dreamweaver it took me significantly longer to produce something to show because it was a significantly less friendly program.

"I'm amused with Muse"

What do you like best?

Creating websites seem so easy with Muse. To layout how you want it and to create different styles on each page. Creating steps to get to different pages from one page makes it simple than trying to create code for it.

What do you dislike?

The only issue is the learning process in the beginning. It will take a little time to get to understand how to work on what you want the process to do.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been creating websites for customers up to 10 web pages with in a decent amount of time. It does not take weeks to create it if you are doing it as coding.

"A very good program to make responsive websites!"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is a very good software to make websites in an easy way. The program is very simple to use and helps a lot because it's the only program that allows you to make websites without knowing the html code. I use it each time a client ask me to make a website, and I prefer it instead of using Dreamweaver.

What do you dislike?

I think this program needs a lot of work to become more stable, because it crushes too often, and it's no good to restart the software each time.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I think Adobe Muse needs a lot of work, so, right now, I'm not sure I will recommend this program to someone.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With this program I usually make websites in a very short ammount of time. I have made some websites for some clients of mine, and they were very happy for the final result.

"Muse is still a Work in Progress"

What do you like best?

I like that the UI is similar to other Adobe Products to it makes it fairly simple to use. It's easy to quickly put up a website without writing code. I like being able to use the Type Kit web fonts with my Creative Cloud subscription so that I have more choices without having to purchase additional webfonts. I really like the ability to add in embedded HTML. There additionally are sites that you can download widgets to use within your muse file.

What do you dislike?

There seems to always be bugs on new releases so i constantly find myself going back to the previous versions and having issues with my files. I have to always watch the forums for release updates and fixes.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are a lot of updates and bugs/fixes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

For a short term solution, we incorporated using Adobe Muse for all of our external websites. Our marketing team has been able to make updates without having to heavily rely on our IT department for fixes.

"When you don't feel like using dreamweaver..."

What do you like best?

Muse is great for folks that come from Photoshop or InDesign. If you can think it, you can build it out. Easy transition between the other Adobe products as well. They've made some big improvements in responsiveness too.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes, I wish I could just dig into the code. I'll fall back on Dreamweaver much more often, partially because I'm building sites with various languages.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Muse isn't just for people who don't know HTML/CSS (though it is definitely nice to not have to code anything). Sometimes, I'll have any idea in my head and just can't quite figure out how to lay it out. We get it as part of a bundle, not sure if I would spend the money on it individually, but it's pretty useful sometimes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Brochure creation has been much easier, and it also has allowed our graphic designer to do a lot more work (which maybe he's not too pleased with). This has helped up review our templates as well. When you work with folks who might not be as astute with coding, it's good to have the on the fly ability to change things without needing to build wireframes.

"Web design for beginners"

What do you like best?

It is a web design tool used basically by users without knowledge of programming languages, since the program does not work with them, therefore, with it you can build the web pages by dragging complements from the interface, which makes it very useful to build websites in very short times.

What do you dislike?

It is an excellent tool for newbies, but for a professional user it can be VERY obsolete, since to create pages and take care of all the details you need to use some programming language, languages that Muse does not manage, so to work in an area Professional does not serve much.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Although muse is quite simple to use, I do not recommend spending money on this tool at all, I recommend using Google Web Designer that has almost the same characteristics as well as being free.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I do not use Muse to do my work, so it does not really benefit me. I have only used it to know how it works and to have a comparative idea with other products in the market.

"Adobe Muse"

What do you like best?

If you are a visual person, and just want to design without having to worry about a lot of coding and behind the scenes details, then you should try Muse. It has tons of available widgets to make the content do the things you want without code. You can drop in assets straight from Photoshop and illustrator, and it supports a lot of different file types.

What do you dislike?

I know this is a program for non-coders, but that being said it should still add a little more robust way off adding to or editing the code. The methods currently available aren't very obvious and are restrictive and limiting.

Recommendations to others considering the product

To get the most use out of muse I would reccommend either planning on purchasing many of the available widgets, or having a developer handy to develop the widgets you might need. Once you have the widgets you need content creation is very easy and intuitive.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using it to develope content for game day productions. We have been using it to develope content to enhance the game day experiance. We've developed several proprietary widgets for muse to make it work the way we need it to. That's what's so nice about the widget workflow. Developers can create tools for artists to use so they don't need to code just focus on design.

"Quick, Fast, Profitable."

What do you like best?

Adobe created a web design powerhouse program with Muse. It allows people with no to little web design knowledge the ability to build a website for themselves quickly. It also allows people like myself create mockups on the fly and test different layouts without going deep into normal development channels.

What do you dislike?

As a web designer/development company, I don't really like the fact that anyone can use this program to build a somewhat passable website for their business. However, those people aren't my ideal clients in the first place, so...

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend Muse to anyone who wants to prototype web layouts or if you are a small or home business with no money to hire a developer to build your companies website.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When I use Muse, I primarily use it to create layout mockups. The WYSIWYG interface and lack of coding make it easy for me to test different ideas without involving developers. It also allows me to show our developers a visual interactive layout instead of just one wireframed or drawn.

"ADOBE MUSE THE BEST EVER!!!!! Perfect for non-web designers who need a website. "

What do you like best?

I LOVE that is program is completely intuitive to users of other Adobe Creative programs. I have had to throw together other web pages but none have come together as quickly and effortlessly as Muse. Even uploading it to my host was a breeze and that's the part where I always make a mistake.

What do you dislike?

There were a few things I wanted it do from Photoshop and inDesign that aren't features yet - but it's just as easy to make a quick edit and pull an item back in.

Also, I really wish there was a better portfolio viewer / publisher plug in. I had to use another host for that portion. I'd like to do it all within Muse.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you already use inDesign, Illustrator and maybe Photoshop - this will be completely intuitive to you!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I made my web page and work portfolio using Muse! I put everything together in less than an hour.

"Easy work with Adobe Muse"

What do you like best?

I like that Adobe Muse has replaced Dreamweaver in my daily usage. It is much easier for me, as a designer with little development knowledge, to use Muse as opposed to Dreamweaver or trying to prototype my own work just to show small bits of functionality.

What do you dislike?

I dislike some aspects of muse like the inability (for myself) to find similar tools that i would use in illustrator/photoshop. I do like the integration with illustrator. It is easy for me to copy and past or place content from illustrator into Muse with little friction.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There is a slight learning curve as with every adode product. it is different and could benefit from better onboarding techniques.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Using it to mock up web pages and applications when I need to show a little bit of functionality. It is helpful for non-designers to understand what I mean when I say "when you click here xyz will happen"

"Easy to use"

What do you like best?

I like the simplicity of the program. For someone who thinks very visually and isn't a proficient coder, Muse was a great tool for me to build out websites either for prototyping or for actual use.

What do you dislike?

I do wish there was more responsiveness, but I know they've been working on adding new features which is great. Some of the code can get a little funky as well, and if there was a blogging feature then this program would be damn near perfect.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you get onto some support boards if you're having any trouble. So many people have worked out some amazing things you can do in Muse. They're also great to have around if anything breaks or you hit a problem spot.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's a quick way to get a design up and running for testing for clients, it's also really easy to adjust the design once it's up there.

"Adobe Muse"

What do you like best?

Basically the wysiwyg capabilities are the benefit to this program in addition to it being part of the CC suite so it "plays nice" and in comparison to some online web builders, the flexibility is limited, or the html editors are more difficult to understand.

What do you dislike?

I'm still learning the program so there's no "dislikes" at the moment, its more just dealing with the learning curve and figuring out the details of the program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

So far I'm finding this product to be good for personal use and is easily comparable to create websites much like that available on Square Space, Wix or Concrete5- minus the same ease you would have with a CMS provided by those products/services.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Nothing work related, this is simply for personal and side projects.

"Excellent Platform for Non-coding Designers"

What do you like best?

I love the interface. If you are familiar with other Adobe platforms then it will be intuitive and easy to digest without having to invest a lot of time in tutorials and research. The learning curve for Muse is very simple and a new user can start creating stunning sites in very little time. It is great for non-complex websites and the perfect tool for DIYers and hobbyists.

What do you dislike?

Being a UI/UX designer, responsive capabilities are very important to me and it can be quite difficult controlling the responsiveness of sites created.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're are already using Adobe CC then this is a no-brainer for designers to use for creating awesome simple sites instead of spending money on other website-building platforms.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

"Adobe Muse helps you create websites without the hassle of coding!"

What do you like best?

My favorite thing about Muse is how simply you can make responsive web pages and look at a plan of what your website looks like laid out like a blueprint. This is something you can't do with programs like DreamWeaver, so I think this is more user-friendly if you don't already have a background in web design. The interface can be confusing at first, but it becomes easy to use with a little practice and exploration.

What do you dislike?

The monthly/yearly subscription plan that comes with all Adobe Products now. However, it is more affordable if you are a student as they offer a discount.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Go with Adobe Muse if you found DreamWeaver too confusing to work with. Sites like Squarespace allow you to plan out your webpages in a similar way that Adobe Muse does, but I think Muse allows you to customize your website more. The detailed options for everything you do in Muse make the website completely yours and unique!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have worked in a few different job positions that required web design skills, and ran into various issues that would take up a lot of time trying to solve coding errors. Adobe Muse allows you to skip those issues altogether!

"Not Amused"

What do you like best?

I was initially sold on the idea of a real drag and drop web design tool... I was thinking Wix without all the pay per feature nonsense. If you are looking to make quick and easy website using smart object from photoshop then this is the software for you. It definitely lives up to it's moniker as an app for people who seek artistic inspiration.

What do you dislike?

I disliked the limited options for redesigning and editing built-in features. I had an notion that Muse was meant for the novice web designer who doesn't really know how to code.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Well I would definitely focus on speaking to the more creatively inclined of the Adobe community. this is not one for the geeks.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

None at the moment, we have gone back to using Dreamweaver. If anything this software is more for the designer who wants to design websites and not for the coder who wants to design websites. I guess an unintended benefit from the use of the software has been the the companies re-focus on coding and html and javascript web apps.

"Adobe Muse"

What do you like best?

Dreamweaver was cool for what it is. If you're a hardcore want you hand in everything kind of designer than go for Dreamweaver. If you like being limited to what you can do from a creative perspective (or just be a master at coding) then go for Dreamweaver. I enjoy the very fact that I am not using any coding whatsoever and best of all, not limited to do anything like if I were to use an HTML builder or the one provided by my server provider Dreamhost.

What do you dislike?

There should be better support for creating blogs or e-commerce functionality. I really dislike when it crashes. One time I got so deep in a concept for a site that I forgot to save, and wouldn't you know, it crashed.

The compatibility issues. Unfortunately, Muse is not compatible with all platforms such as the older versions of Internet Explorer and Androids, which can be quite an issue if you're creating websites that would require those platforms. There is yet to be anything I dislike about Muse and any of its function and functionality.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Consider your skill level and needs. I have found that using a template for Adobe Muse is helpful but I also work with other site builders based on clients needs and budget

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

"Adobe Muse Is Solid!"

What do you like best?

I love that it doesn't require you to learn HTML or CSS (although understanding that background is helpful). It's pretty intuitive when it comes to picking styles and ways of displaying images/carousels, although having a base background in web design is important. I also love that you can make something applicable to both web, tablet and phone in the same file. It's helpful when making multi-platform.

What do you dislike?

I wish there were a more detailed tour of the program at the start or a better tutorial on Adobe's website. a lot comes with trail and error. But knowing how to use each tool can help you design the best site. It can also be pretty janky if you don't do things perfectly, although it does do a good job to "solve user errors" if you're not an expert. You just have to be careful when designing.

I also wish there were more alerts/warnings when you're putting things together that aren't compatible.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Look on Youtube for tutorials as opposed to Adobe's site, there's a lot out there!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's insanely easy to build your own customized website even without a TON of design experience, so it's a great way to save costs on web design for your own portfolio site. If you're great at web design it may even be a great way to build a professional site for companies.

It's been extremely helpful for me to be able to easily update my art portfolio when I create new work instead of dealing with a pay-for-service site or designer to do it for me.

"Getting responsive with Muse"

What do you like best?

I primarily use Muse to build out our mobile website due to the variety of OS platforms, screen sizes, browsers that while I could be using our primary tool, Dreamweaver with, I am not up to date on mobile website and app coding and need a pure WYSIWG tool to do so with.

I enjoy the very fact that I am not using any coding whatsoever and best of all, not limited to do anything like if I were to use an HTML builder or the one provided by my server provider Dreamhost.

What do you dislike?

There is yet to be anything I dislike about Muse and any of its function and functionality.

Recommendations to others considering the product

For me, building out a mobile friendly website with Muse is huge. But Muse can be used to build any type of responsive website only using WYSIWYG. Muse in a way is a limitless website builder, like Dreamhost Remixer or GoDaddy. Only difference is that it is you are not limited to whatever is being thrown at you.

However, the only catch? It is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud and therefore a paid subscription. But if you are in that sector, why not?

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Being able to craft a mobile friendly site is huge and beneficial for us and it solved an issue from since smartphones and smartphone browsers became mainstream. It has allowed us to catch up with other online media outlets that have clearly been years ahead in the game.

"Adobe Muse Review"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is a great product for people who want to be able to easily build personalized websites that don't feel like a generic template. Muse is great because it takes the number one biggest website building problem for most people away...the coding. Most people have no idea how to code, or how HTML and CSS work in regard to website construction. Muse let's these individuals build websites in a completely new way, while still allowing complex HTML elements to be available. Also, if you have experience in coding, Muse still lets you modify the specific code that you would like to edit which is nice.

What do you dislike?

Muse is great for inexperienced website builders, but I feel like most businesses would rather hire an experienced coder to build their complex websites, or simply pay a third party to do it for them. Also, I feel like most people would rather just accept the variety of template options that are available on free websites rather than pay for a subscription based product like Adobe Muse.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try it out, especially if you want to build a fresh looking website without a generic feel. Muse surprisingly can produce a very high end website for small businesses, or just for a personal website.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I used Muse to build my own website a few years ago, and that's when it was a brand new program. I know Adobe continues to add new features regularly, so Muse continues to get better and better. If Adobe remodeled their business to be less subscription based and more about just buying the one product you want, I think Muse and their other software programs would be more widely used by the average consumer. Businesses can afford $50 a month, but the average consumer doesn't want to pay more than $10 a month for a bundled software program.

"Getting better all the time"

What do you like best?

It allows much more freedom in design than Wordpress and you don't have to mess with code. It's super easy to show clients what you're working on before publishing using business catalyst and it allows you to provide clients with simple editing capabilities.

What do you dislike?

They aren't able to do scroll effects with responsive on the same breakpoint. So if you want both it will be inconsistent between devices. A lot of basic functions require third party plugins that are sometimes paid. I think adobe has a long way to go but this is the future for designers

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's still a work in progress and there is a learning curve for advanced functions, but once you get the hang of it you will love how your web idea is brought to life so quickly.

"Best Creative Web Design Platform"

What do you like best?

I love how seamlessly connected Adobe Suite platforms are. Since I make and edit a lot of graphics with Illustrator and Photoshop, Muse is the best software for crafting a webpage that falls in line with my aesthetic and matches the level of attention to detail I need when designing new web pages.

What do you dislike?

There is definitely a learning curve, especially when it comes to creating links within different tabs and pages. It took me a while to understand how to name all of my different web pages and be able to access them the correct way when updating the content.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would highly recommend using Muse with all Adobe Suite platforms and products for ease of use and compatibility across the board for all aspects of design.

"The easiest web design software to use!"

What do you like best?

The best thing about Adobe Muse is that anyone can use it, whether or not they have any experience with coding or web design previously. The interface is laid out very similar to InDesign but still has a very simplistic layout for those who are not familiar with the creative cloud products.

What do you dislike?

The only concern I have with Muse is that it makes designing websites a little too easy. This means that anyone can attempt to design websites, whether they have the educational backing or experience to back it up or not. Those who are not familiar with proper web design standards and techniques can still create websites, they just will not be as functional. This does also interfere with the web design job market.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This software is certainly worth trying out if you are consistently designing simple websites. It will allow uses to save a lot of time and energy that is often wasted in other web design software. In addition, the ability to utilize in browser editing with the client makes Muse invaluable.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software makes it much easier to create simple websites for small businesses. By creating the website easier and faster, it allows a web designer to be able to charge the small-business less. One of the biggest benefits is not having to deal with coding in order to credit website.

"Great but can be greater"

What do you like best?

It allows to designers without a deep knowledge on code and html, to create great looking websites quickly. I don't need to be a web developer, but through widgets and tools available on-line I am able to create good looking websites and satisfy my clients needs.

What do you dislike?

Still have some bugs. Not a lot of widgets and resources available for free. Too much unnecessary code on some pages will slow your final outcome. I think what would definitely help Muse to be more successful is to have more online video trainings, to allow users to improve their work. There are several third-party websites selling their knowledge and resources, but since we pay a lot of money to have Adobe programs, I believe Adobe should provide a better and more up-to-date knowledge database with lots of tutorial videos available in several languages, specially Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, since those are the top spoken languages in the world, not only English.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's a great tool for graphic designers who wants to do web, for small customers.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I need to create simple websites for small clients, so It's good for me to be able to do it myself and make more profit instead of hiring a web designing company. Of course that if I had bigger clients I'd hire a specialist on web developing, to do big projects, but so far I'm having just small business and Muse is right what I need to provide the service that they want. So far, so good.

"Organized perfection "

What do you like best?

Muse is an improvement over Dreamweaver and Adobe's Edge Reflow is an improvement over Muse. Now there's webflow which is an improvement over those.

I think the fast food analogy is quite apt, there's quite a bit of money to be made in using tools to speed up the process. There's a current trend with developers using "opinionated frameworks" such as Bootstrap to help speed up the design process.

What do you dislike?

Although software like Muse seem to speed up the process, you lose control for the sake of convenience. If your friend had a browser-specific issue, how could he resolve it? If you friend's client asked for the page display data pulled in from a database, how would he do it? If someone calls themselves a web designer/developer and Muse is their main tool, they'll soon be put out of business self-service sites like Squarespace.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Muse is an improvement over Dreamweaver and Adobe's Edge Reflow is an improvement over Muse. Now there's webflow which is an improvement over those.

"Adobe Muse for Website Design"

What do you like best?

This is an easy tool for web designers that want to get past needing to have a good knowledge of coding languages.

What do you dislike?

After using this product for several months straight on one big website project, I wish that there was an option to implement code when needed.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Realize that you cannot use code to alter webpages. Also, Exported .html projects can't be imported back into Muse.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Updating the company website from a previous Wordpress site. Complete control of the design process and able to connect forms and widgets to Salesforce so that our customers can interact and request service through the website.

"Great addition tomthe world of website editors"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse is great as it targets itself towards graphics designers and creative people that are versed in Photoshop and other software, such as InDesign.

What do you dislike?

The editor can tend to get overwhelming as there may be too many toolbars presenting themselves and too many options that they offer can get confusing for a user.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a graphics designer, second to a website designer, I have discovered that the software allows me to use both realms of knowledge and skill when designing a site and Muse allows me an alternative when an in depth application may not be warranted.

"my experience so far with adobe muse"

What do you like best?

i like that i don't have to code for the most part for simple websites. it is often very helpful for tight deadlines where i do not have to wait for the front end developer to put it together. i also like the lightness of the app, it really helps with multi tasking that way.

What do you dislike?

that often the codes are not usable for rather complicated functionalities, i.e. its hard to create a functional dashboard or a custom mobile application. also maybe i don't know how to do it right but i always struggle to create custom animations with it and integrate within the site.

Recommendations to others considering the product

have more illustration and animation capability

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

presale demo and conference experiences, quick mockups, single page websites, responsive websites, for technical presentations that needs to be on the cloud etc.

"Solid software for basic web building"

What do you like best?

Being able to visually layout a wireframe and build pages and content on an optical level helps. It is fairly easy to use and add widgets for more dynamic capabilities. The auto-compressing of images is also helpful.

What do you dislike?

Having to individually update content on multiple pages is time consuming. Exporting and uploading a site to an FTP is also difficult. I also find it challenging and counter-intuitive to add custom HTML.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I wouldn't build an entire site that needs to multiple users input. One off microsites are fine as it eliminates the need for heavy coding knowledge, and focusing on design becomes the priority,

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software is great for creating small one off pages and easily adding advanced features for microsites that I have to create. Those two components are most beneficial to my primary work.

"Created 2 websites previously"

What do you like best?

I really enjoy that you are able to view your content in a browser window so easily. Also, I use other Adobe products, and I like that the work flow is pretty similar, so there isn't too much of a learning curve.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that Muse isn't always responsive. I really wish that there was an easier way to make sure that the photo is taking up the browser width without having to snap to the edges. A lot of the time I think that the image is contained properly, but I open it in a page and it isn't. Also, something needs to be figured out about text, because right now, I have to make any text into an SVG file, and no matter what it is downsamlped or doesn't look crisp.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Watch the YouTube tutorials.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use Muse to mock up websites to send to clients, and primarily use it for my own personal portfolio. Muse is a great host site because if I need to update something, it doesn't take too long, and the links stay the same. After I started using Muse, I pretty much stopped using Dreamweaver all together.

"Used the Muse app for a basic prototype to demonstrate the concept company was looking for."

What do you like best?

I like that the program is easy to use and allows for simple drag and drop options. Little coding knowledge is required to be able to use this application, which is great for those new to the concept of website design and development. It acts as a great visual format for me to show clients potential website mockups and allows me to get sizing accuracy when using Dreamweaver.

What do you dislike?

This is not the best app for actually designing your website. I prefer Dreamweaver for this purpose. However, if you have little to no coding knowledge, then Muse is a great app for you! I dislike that some of the images don't keep the same high quality in live view and that the graphics used look pixelated.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would suggest using Adobe Muse if you do not have coding knowledge, but would like to build your own website. It has a great interface that's easy to use and it won't take the average user long to learn how to use the application.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was able to demonstrate the way our clients website would look like in the program. The benefit is that it's quick and easy to use, plus it's helpful for company execs to visualize and make changes quickly without destroying code or taking up copious amounts of time in the editing process. This makes my personal website design process much more streamlined and it's easy to get a final design using Muse first.

"Used Muse to develop Website"

What do you like best?

I love the customization Muse allows you to have. Although I think there's definitely a learning curve, it's great to be able to design what you want, all without coding.

What do you dislike?

Updating the website can require a lot of time and effort if you want consistent changes. I wanted it to look nice on desktop, tablet, and phone, but that along with all of the break points, meant a lot of time and effort for each update.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's awesome if you want customization without coding and are already subscribed to Creative Cloud. However, if you're looking for something that's easy to update frequently, I don't think this is it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was creating a website to showcase my freelancing. I love the customization of it and being able to do it yourself.

"Muse is a great tool."

What do you like best?

The WSYSIWYG platform is awesome for graphic designers who do not know much code. You really can design anything within Muse, without coding. The interface is easy to understand, and clearly follows the overall feeling of every other Adobe product. I got started with Muse several years ago, fairly easily because I was proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

I like being able to drag and drop everything, from shapes, text, and photos, without creating containers and/or tables.

What do you dislike?

- Search Engine Optimization is more difficult in Muse, as the ability to correctly input code is harder than it would be using actual code or something like Dreamweaver.

- Also, I wish it was easier to resize photos when placed inside the program. I've placed an image file thinking it was a certain pixel size, and upon inserting into Muse, it blows up to a large size and I have to resize within the program.

- There needs to be better support for using it with Wordpress. I designed a site several years ago, and it ultimately ended up having to be redesigned for Wordpress because of the SEO issues.

- Lastly, when exporting to HTML, the code is not nearly as clean as it would be if you coded the entire site by hand. I've had to export to HTML and open that code in Dreamweaver to sometimes make any necessary changes.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give it a try! It's an awesome program that lets you create very design forward, modern websites.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I've created a better website a lot faster than using my limited set of skills regarding coding. I can create a site a lot faster, if time is not on my side, and it still looks very professional.

"Great Option for Beginner to Semi-Experienced Designer"

What do you like best?

Adobe Muse offers me a simple but powerful option for website design. It is loaded with features that are literally drag and drop and there are tons of templates to help you get started. The ability to have responsive sites with a few clicks is very welcoming.

What do you dislike?

The drawbacks to Muse come in the way of overall compatibility. There are some limitations with certain browsers and partnering programs.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Watch tutorials. There is so much free learning out there.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adobe Muse is the platform in which we built and launched our website in-house without having to pay an outside party.

"Great for prototyping"

What do you like best?

Easy to learn if you're experienced with InDesign. Close to complete feature set to mimic interactivity and responsive behavior.

What do you dislike?

Scrolling effects and Responsive features are not fully implemented. If the layout is complex, then the live version sometimes doesn't match exactly what you've designed.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I wouldn't necessarily use this to produce the final code for a site, but to produce starter code that can be handed over to the development team this is great.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Easy website prototyping and wireframing. I use this instead of Photoshop now. Handing over files to developers is easier as well since all the assets are already separated and there's at least started HTML and CSS files to work from.

"For those who like photoshop, don't get tempted. Use something else. "

What do you like best?

it feels like a version of Photoshop that exports websites. The plan section lets you, yes plan your structure and allows drag and drop page hierarchy design. I like the master pages fuctionality.

What do you dislike?

The way Muse lets you re-layout your design to the responsive sizes takes a lot of extra time that almost doubles our working hours for each web site project. It is very behind other foundations such as Wordpress. The Muse website editor is overwhelming. There’s too much going on. In this screenshot (right) how many toolbars and options do you see? I see 8 toolbars presenting 60-ish options vying for attention. How are we supposed to know where to start?

Recommendations to others considering the product

use something else to build your site, such as wordpress or even weebly.

web creation.

"It is a great alternative to websites such as Wordpress or Squarespace."

What do you like best?

I like that it is different from websites such as Wordpress or Squarespace. It is so much more customizable.

What do you dislike?

There is not much I dislike about it. The only thing I'm not a fan of is Adobe's pricing on their product packages.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is a great program if you have high turnover in the graphic design jobs, because it is easy to use and a quick way to make edits to your website, and is a lot more customizable compared to other website builders.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This is a great program to use to make quick edits to the website. We use it about everyday, and sometimes if needed, other people that don't know anything about graphic design are able to use it as well.

"The wonders of (new and improved) Adobe Muse"

What do you like best?

That there are now responsive features and templates / wireframes you can buy and use while making .a website. (via - Muse-Themes.com)

What do you dislike?

The breakpoints, that every time you change something on one breakpoint, they all change if you don't go through and manually set them not too. I think there needs to be a fully responsive option, where instead of setting up all sizes manually (or in different layouts) its more like WordPress and just reduces the size of everything for you falling into the same layout but smaller.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Only use for small sites, look at the site and say what it on this site that cannot be done in muse and if the answer is nothing, then use muse.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Muse does not take as much time (this is the big one) or resources to create a whole site. Your can create small sites with muse and pocket all of the cash from it because it only took you 5 hours what would have taken two days on wordpress. Not to mention the program itself comes with adobe cc membership so you dont pay extra for the program at all.

"Pretty easy for non-coding designers"

What do you like best?

I like that its fairly simple for designers that do not code. You can accomplish the basics for building your own website- update it and have full control all in the adobe business catalyst server.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that its pretty difficult to build more complex things within muse. There are a lot of functions and bugs I feel as though they are still trying to sort out in the program. There aren't a crazy amount of tutorials out there for specific questions as its a newer program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There aren't many tutorials for advanced building on muse. If you want to buy a lot of plugins there are those, but thats really annoying since your already buying the software.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I don't need to hire a coder for smaller accounts or jobs because I can build sites for clients through muse without having to dust off my coding knowledge.

"Create websites in an easy way"

What do you like best?

Anyone that has been any Adobe program is able to use this tool. It is very simple to use and practically any user can create a website using this program. It is perfect for newbies.

What do you dislike?

By not using the coding method to design the sites, it is quite easy to get confused and lose track of what is being done, as well as having an interface in which there are too many add-ons. It is not a program that can be used in the professional area.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Personally I do not use Muse in my work area, so I could not say that I have obtained any benefit from the use of it. I've only tried it to know if it works to do what my work demands or not.

"A program with lots of potential "

What do you like best?

As a Graphic Designer this is something I have been waiting for for a long time. To have your exact design spit out code without you having to do anything is a dream come true to any designer who isn't advance with coding. You literally don't have to worry about anything the program does all the work for you.

What do you dislike?

The problem with this program is part of what I like best about it. Muse in fact does all the work for you but at a cost. The cost is a very very hefty amount of code. It's not efficient in the way it spits it out. Also to make it mobile friendly you have to create breakpoints which just triples the amount of code your file will have. The problem with this is if you needed to troubleshoot anything it just makes it more difficult than needed.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is a fun program with a lot of potential. I strongly believe as they come out with more versions/updates this program will become more efficient.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I started using this program to hopefully create certain elements to our site and deliver them to our programmers to place to make our production process much more efficient. I have also tried using this program to create a new site. Our programmers were very excited when I started giving them the files but as I mentioned earlier when you run into any problems troubleshooting is difficult since the files are unnecessarily large. Since this program is new I think with every version Adobe puts out this will get better, this I believe. For now though if you don't mind the lengthy amount of code this program spits out you can indeed build an entire site easily with this program. I don't recommend trying to design certain site elements and placing them on an already existing site, this is were I ran into the most issues.

What do you like best?

Being a print designer, I like that this program allows me to create websites without having to use code. I still have flexibility and design control to create unique and custom sites, but without having to worry about the backend.

What do you dislike?

I feel like the program has come a long way since it first was available, but I have struggled with creating customizable forms in the program as well as syncing it to blogs.

Recommendations to others considering the product

They are constantly improving the program and updating ways to use/features. It is comparable to InDesign, but for web design.

"Good solution for web design "

What do you like best?

Easy to use if you're familiar with Photoshop. I like that it has a great toolkit to experiment with the design. You can draw any element without having to only upload ready elements. Also you don't need to have access to the internet while you're building your website

What do you dislike?

I find that the Muse has more advantages rather then disadvantages. However I'd say that the toolbar is cluttered with a variety of options which sometimes confuses. Too many of them seem overwhelming.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're not familiar with Photoshop or has never used graphic tools, it'd take awhile to learn Muse. Or even it might not be the best site creator for you at all.

I really enjoy how it takes web design and makes it user friendly. I'm not bound by templates, but I also don't have to know how to code.

What do you dislike?

One thing that I wish Muse had was more features for drawing. You can only create rectangles and ellipses, but I found myself wanting to use hexagons for much of my design.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Adobe has tutorials on their site that show you how to build a site from start to finish. They are incredibly helpful and answered almost all of by questions,

"Instant PSD to HTML, make html and css without coding"

What do you like best?

Muse is a very easy to use program. For us who skilled in Photoshop for web designing and have a zero knowledge of HTML, this program is a savior. You can instantly import images from PSD itself, so you don't need to crop images.

What do you dislike?

Muse is PSD to HTML program that no one have ever made before, I'm really dissapointed that they did't support 32bit system anymore. Although 64bit system is more reliable, but some designer still use 32bit system for some reason.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I reccomend Adobe Muse to anyone who like to make web just like making files in PSD format. Just like I said before, Muse is very easy to use, you'll learn it in no time, especially if you master Photoshop. Muse and Photoshop have common simmilarities, you just need to learn what Muse option do.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

By using Muse, many front-end web designer will be more accurate in web designing. They will easily make their web design into HTML format with ease. What we need to do is now, how to sync Muse with Bootstrap format, so we can easily make responsive web design.
