"Great free encryption software"

What do you like best?

It is incredibly easy to use and easy to deploy. We were able to get it up and running fairly quickly. Our users often use this software for one off files that need to be encrypted.

What do you dislike?

It does lack some functionality. Our users often ask how to best encrypt large amounts of files at once. There is no easy way to do this with AES Crypt without zipping everything first.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is a great free software if you are looking for basic file-by-file encryption. You definitely will want to look into something more enterprise-grade if you are looking for more control over access.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

File by file encryption for desktops, laptops and some file shares. It also has allowed us to send encrypted files to users outside of the organization. We can trust that an outside vendor/contact could download, install and run AESCrypt without any problem (especially since it is free).
