The ease to upload the current alignment at various geographical levels like zip, territory,district, state , region with the current workload at the most granular level. Then, it provided color coded view on a geographical map with various geographical boundaries. One can just select a ZIP (considering it the most granular level) and see how much workload it contributes and can simply assign to a different territory by drag and drop.It also has the option to upload a sales rep location file which has the co-ordinates of the rep location. Then it displays the rep location on the same map which helps us to design territories satisfying constraints like maximum distance of account from the rep. It also helps to keep in check the disruption levels while moving ZIPs/accounts to new territory.
There are various features like zoom in , show workload as graduated dots, density dots etc.
What do you dislike?
Alignstar has nothing to dislike except that the cost is very high for Enterprise edition which supports 50+ territories.Also, the ZIPs package update patch need to be released frequently as ZIPs boundaries keep on changing with time.

An amazing tool that will cater to all your needs to design,redesign, realign and optimize territories and workload.Though an enterprise edition will cost you a lot, you will receive 2-3 field edition licenses free. The limitation of field edition is that you can make changes only to an already existing atr file made through Enterprise edition and can not create from scratch
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Helping clients realign their territories with various salesforces keeping in mind the various constraints and balancing the workload. If required, create new territories and then reassign the existing sales rep to the territories so as to minimize the disruption of accounts. Also, there are distance measurements tools which can help calculate the distance between two zips so as to keep the territory under a coverable area.
We can help clients if territories were designed more than 3 years ago and have not been reviewed since then or the territories were designed based only on sales history without considering the potential or forecast in account.
