What do you like best?
Altova suite is giving a full brunch of features for both XML, Json, CSV, webservices, DBs
What do you dislike?
In Mapforce versioning is not an option, and commenting a mapping is not easy: hard to remember why you did something in a complex mapping.
In Mapforce, for some features you need to use the "Mapforce server" (i.e. https webservices /tokens)
Recommendations to others considering the product
Altova has no real rivals for a lot of vertical features.
Using complex jsons and XML with a visual instrument and compile code without writing a line, is a very nice approach.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Data mapping, interations, filesystem transformation. The bundle is a mix of useful tools from basic coding (xmlspy and diff dog) to data mapping (mapforce and flextext), to database management (databasespy), to data rendering (stylevision) and u-modeling (umodel)
