"POWERFUL Shopping Cart -- Not always intuitive"

What do you like best?

My company delivers white label test prep materials. We offer many different packages and prices. This is not a typical use case for most standard shopping cart software providers. SparkPay handles this unique use case really well. It took a long time to set up, but it's done a very good job of providing the features we need.

What do you dislike?

Requires substantial setup time and effort. Integrations are not super easy. The first time we offered a discount code, it disabled our shopping cart.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are easier solutions out there. If you're looking for a simple, easy to implement, solution, then this might not be it. If you need to customize the shopping cart experience for your user, then SparkPay may be a really good option.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

SparkPay has been VERY useful in streamlining our operations. Orders come in. We're notified via Slack. They show up in ShipStation. Billing is breeze. Now we get paid way sooner.

"One more player in a bloated world"

What do you like best?

Online payment backed by a large bank (Capital One) that lends a certain level of protection. Provides for mobile credit card processing. It has specialized apps for both IOS (but will not work with jailbroken phone) and Android (however this one seems flaky). Attractive website and well protected. Reasonable rates compared to other options out there (not really better, but in line with others).

What do you dislike?

Very little to set it above or separate from the myriad of other online payment options. Has fairly strict requirements for you to be an accepted business. As such, some types of freelancers, cottage industries, etc might be forced to look elsewhere. New business needs to wait for approval - sometimes taking a while even after accounts are set up.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would not recommend over other options unless there is a special reason for you (such as your business accounts are with Capital One). It functions well enough but nothing sets it above and beyond others while having some compatibility issues (mostly Android based mobile).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to process credit and bank cards online.

Allows for mobile processing of payments.

Online retrial of payments & invoices / receipts.

"An exceptional e-commerce platform"

What do you like best?

I love the fact that we can customize the platform to our needs as well as the needs of our donors and our recipients.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing that I dislike about the platform.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take the time to have a conversation with one of the sales consultants and ask all the questions you want. You'll find them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting you the answers you need and showing you the full functionality of the site. They even extended our trial so that I could properly explore all the areas thta I needed to.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Angelwish is in the business of helping grant wishes to children living with chronic illnesses. Not having to worry about the backend of our site and the way that wishes (inventory) is posted, purchased, and fulfilled, leaves us more time to engage donors and help more children.

"Easy to use, user friendly"

What do you like best?

I really like how user friendly AmeriCommerce is to use and learn. I am the creative director for an online commerce business and we have thousands of products available to our customers. Because of this, we need to have things up and running 24/7. We rarely have problems with our site. AmeriCommerce makes it so easy to navigate through our many products, customer reviews, promotions, blog posts, etc. We are able to seamlessly update content with the quick click of a button from any web browser. Also, their tech support people are also always available for questions.

What do you dislike?

There's not much I don't like about AmeriCommerce. I know we would not be as successful running our online store without them. Every once in awhile we get a coding glitch that doesn't save our work, but we have figured out work arounds for when that happens.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have easily been able to train our staff to take over editing tasks in AmeriCommerce, which has drastically reduced my own workflow!

"Moving On "

What do you like best?

After exploring, I like the built in email features, I like that the company posts blogs on how to use features most effectively frequently and I guess it works.

What do you dislike?

Add on issues, we have paid for several external programs to be bridged and it causes issues EVERY time, their customer support is awful

Recommendations to others considering the product

When I first began using, SparkPay was owned by Americommerce. We always experienced slowness but when they were sold to Capital One, things got even worse. Site down, server issues, plug ins not working. Now they are being acquired by Americommerce yet again. We'll see what happens.

"Spark Pay -Good for the short term"

What do you like best?

Month to month contract with fixed transaction fees, no EMV yet, free card reader and does debit credit well. Very surprised at the efficiency of processing, considering it's a Capital One product. Pairs well with SharePoint commerce.

What do you dislike?

No EMV, customer support hold times not terribly long but transfer agents are horrible. Bandwidth issues are common.

Be prepared for bandwidth issues.

Ease of use with expansion payments, especially doing site visits where 90 percent is pay upon completion

"AmeriCommerce ready for business"

What do you like best?

Easy to use, quick to market and responsive design out of the box. Easy integration to blog and social networking like a free Facebook App and multiple channel support with many common feeds like Amazon and Google.

What do you dislike?

No source code options, however offers a pretty full featured API.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Well AmeriCommerce has great support. In addition they were just purchased by Capital One. They are a young thinking company and they have made good use of technology and partners to delivery 5000 solutions.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

B2B and B2C eCommerce stores for small to medium sized businesses. Easy orders for mobile devices similar to iPad and iPhone.
