"The best tool for electromagnetics analysis"

What do you like best?

Its user-friendly feature is one of the best features. You can draw what in your mind is and do your simulations. I bet it is the best software in terms of accuracy as I compared its results with measurements and they were perfectly matched. Students can take advantage of the student version from this link:https://www.ansys.com/academic/free-student-products

If you look at the publications in IEEE Transaction on Antenna and Propagation, you can find out that authors mostly use HFSS for their simulations.

What do you dislike?

Probably defining the boundary conditions is a little complicated and needs experiences to set the correct one with correct dimensions. Its documentation is far behind the abilities of the software. Recommendations to others considering the product

Nowadays in antenna and microwave design, there are two big software, HFSS, and CST. As an engineer who used both in an advanced level, I prefer HFSS as it is more versatile in drawing and design.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

"The most-trusted EM simulator for academia as well as industry."

What do you like best?

HFSS form Ansys is one of the best 3D EM simulators for high-frequency structures in the market from my point of view. The way you can model your own 3D structure and the flexibility you have is not in any other software. In addition, the simulation time can be dramatically reduced when you have great GPU or Multi-core machine and use the HPC feature of HFSS.

What do you dislike?

When you have a pool license type, you can get some delays when initiating the analysis to fetch the right license.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Accuracy, speed, and flexibility are the most features I use HFSS for.
