Apptimize has many great functions including a reliable visual testing tool and a powerful programmatic editor with which you can build many testing driven product decisions.
There isn't much to dislike about the platform. I'm looking forward to the many amazing features to come.
I would consider Apptimize for anyone who is interested in making data and testing driven decisions in their product development or acquisition roadmaps. Apptimize is unique in the sense that it allows you to build small visual experiments on things such as buttons, colors, or images or large experiments on the usefulness of entire new modules or user flows.
We're looking to increase the number of subscriptions purchased in the app, increase the tenure of our already existing subscribers, and improving many in-app experiences and products. We also have used apptimize to test push notifications in order to increase the percentage of users who are opted in.
This product has been of great help, we have been able to accurately program several development options with our system. The WYSIWYG editor is very easy to use. Really well thought out in terms of A / B tests.
There is a great learning curve to use this product, also specifically for developers. However, once you understand how the tool works, it becomes much easier to launch code block tests, or anything non-visual. Putting this away everything works perfectly.
We improved the use of the WYSIWYG editor, and in turn we created a greater capacity for coupling with our department on the next floor. We take advantage of the A / B tests to expand our base server.
It provides huge flexibility when running multiple experiments, preparing them and previewing them in both development and production environments on iOS and Android.
We've released plenty behind feature flags which is really great for us to target and optimize experiences from CRM campaigns, to deep functionality as well as testing new ideas and validating them quickly.
The dashboard could do with some work. It would be great to have a quick overview of all my environments so i can see what is happening at a glance rather than have to go into each environment.
It's powerful, reliable and most importantly provides valuable insights that are actually actionable. Fantastic service level too.
Rapid experimentation and growth hacks are fundamental to the growth of our business. We need to be able to test fast and implement winning experiments or kill failing ones quickly. It's all about cadence and it's allowed us to grow a culture of experimentation and optimisation inside our business.
Easy to get set up and use, awesome to be able to create tests without updating the browser (after the initial Apptimize-enabled version is deployed).
I wish it had support for A/B tests for our web UI. We ended up subscribing to Optimizely to perform that task.
make sure that you have figured out how you want to handle analytics, push notifications, install attribution, and web experiments - there are a lot of vendors with overlapping products in these areas.
This has helped us identify the impact of changes we are making to our apps - both to the retention and usage of the apps. It also helps us incrementally roll out new features to ensure that things are working well before all of our users get the new features.
Apptimize provides a great tool for native mobile (iOS, Android) A/B testing. There are several benefits of the tool:
1) setting up your own test success metrics and funnels. Apptimize allows developers to designate success metrics for each test and then provides the dashboard to make it easy to compare those metrics across variants.
2) Managing tests. Ramp tests up, turn tests off, turn tests on. Feature flags. It's all there and they continue to invest and improve
3) Relationships. Apptimize invests in their customers, listens to our feedback and offers advice on our ab testing strategy.
It's important to monitor your app performance after implementing Apptimize.
A/B testing and feature rollout on native mobile apps.
It allows testing very efficiently, Apptimize is an easy to use software, with a good interface and that has gradually become very helpful with its different tools.
I just have not had problems with the use of Apptimize, I am satisfied with the features it has.
We continue to improve our tools, the best of the market in terms of A / B tests.
Integration is easy, and product loves the newly obtained freedom to experiment
Using Apptimize reduced the percentage of non-crash users
Please understand that you bundle a sophisticated engine into your app. This will inflate your APK, perform network communications, and sometimes crash in the ways that are out of your control.
The flexibility that this SDK promises may clash with fancy custom widgets that your programmers developed.
Note that you cannot use only part of this SDK, it's all or nothing. Even if you only want to get some analytics, or perform demographic A/B test of a text message, you must package full Apptimize with your app, and bear the full consequences.
Apptimize is promised to help us separate product decisions from development decisions.
The available SDKs for iOS and Android platforms.
Web-based managment console.
Price to feature ratio.
The real-time changes that we can deploy are acutally limited in the scope - so, not all of our original goals can be met with this tool. Also, we have to plan in advance what sections of parts of our app we would like to change, and only after that we can start using this feature, which means that there is a lag/delay between the time that we want to change something and the time when it actually becomes a reality. For example, with our sprint structure this delay can be as long as 3 - 4 weeks.
Negotiate your custom long term price
Our main goal with Apptimize is to tailor our application and its particular modules/features to the precise needs of our users.
So, far we seen most benefts from the A/B testing.
I like the responsiveness and the quality of support. Questions are addressed in timely manner, and the Apptimize team genuinely want to see us to realize the benefits of A/B testing. The service team actually performed tests for us to show what kind of benefit we could be seeing.
Integration with m-particle is limited. Ability to map user based actions to user behaviors is somewhat limited. User interface has been buggy. The startup cost outweighs the usage, want a full service solution, I don't want to have to admin the campaigns, just want to see results for the service we pay for.
We have found just by switching the text on a few buttons and fields we were able to dramatically change user behavior.
Satisfied with the product, but happy with their customer success team
I don’t think there’s a lot to dislike in Apptimize. One thing that I would love in the product is a web testing platform.
Go for it if you are looking for a tool that caters to your mobile AB testing requirements.
Using this product, I am trying to improve KPIs like conversion rate, usage, and retention.
The ability to A/B test and do quick updates on the fly
Still hard to figure percentage of deployment when some tests are full and others are restricted
I would use it as it is so easy to use and can making testing real world scenarios quicker
We can test UI elements on the fly changing color font and content. Coding we can test deep down code with A/B testing and parameters. It has made getting data for real users a lot easier
It's easy to set up and track tests. The code needed to implement the tests is straightforward. It integrates with Localytics.
codeless visual tests have not been useful for us.
Testing variations of designs. Testing the impact of changes on conversion and retention.
Easy to integrate, easy to use. Good customer service.
Sometimes the user interface is not the most user friendly as it should be.
We use optimize for:
- Find ways to solve the bottleneck in our apps
- optimize the template on product pictures
- Identify the indivudual up-lift for any new feature we are lunching on the mobile channel
As mayor benefits, increase of conversion rate in more than 5% and reduce cost of pictures production by 2%
When it works it "just" works with minimal work from dev side
In most of the cases when it doesn't work there is no way to find out why. Documentation is not intuitive.
Nice product, but sometimes hard to fix problems.
A/B testing
Strong nderstanding of problems in business issues
No sigificant issues. We did have technical trial implimentation issues, but I was happy with how these were handled.
Implimenting A/Btesting in our mobile apps in order to innovate quickly.
Ease of use. Apptimize makes it easy for a non-technical staff member to run tests.
The layout of the experiments can be confusing.
A/B testing quickly and instant updates when in a pinch.
Reliability and options do to nested experiments
We don't rely on Apptimize's reporting bu
Monetisation and improving customer journeys
The fact it's native and so easy to manage makes it a must-have tool for our business.
Probably the funnel analysis and views that we use to comprehend the data.
Trying to increase conversion for our product.
