"Atlas is almost a requirement for anyone using Dynamics AX and needs to quickly get data out"

What do you like best?

The ability of Atlas to use the native joins in AX makes it very easy to get to the data you need. Works great as a way to quickly pull data for analysis or review. Upload and append options add additional features that no other solution has in one package.

What do you dislike?

The only down side with Atlas has been finding how to or training on line. There has been a much greater push lately to improve this, but in the beginning it was a lot of trial and error.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Atlas should be packaged with Dynamics AX, it is that vital to our success. We are rapidly adding users for Atlas as our business starts to expand the use of this amazing software.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

They business often needs data files to be built for ad hoc analysis from varying tables in AX. Atlas allows us to get all of that information into a familiar and easy to use format, Microsoft Excel.

"Very Flexile and Intuitive tool for reporting and updating data"

What do you like best?

Its in excel, what we all know, ATLAS obeys my permissions so data integrity in AX is safe. If I know the logic of how the tables link, I can create really powerful sets of data joining all sorts of facets of AX transactions

What do you dislike?

The error messaging is not as clear as it could be. The handling of lost network connections can be troublesome

Recommendations to others considering the product

Highly recommended. From finance to product mastering, from reports to bulk data changes, we'd be lost without ATLAS. All the information is in Excel, exactly where you need it for further distribution or processing. Assign someone with an interest in data to work on your templates, they don't need to be an expert. roll out reports to other users so your systems become self service.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need lots of ad-hoc reports for customers and management team about their product sales and history. ATLAS allows us to turn around these reports in a short time without relying on IT. We use ATLAS to upload transactions such as sales orders, journals and product/customer data - perfect for mass changes. As well as the very responsive requests for reports, ATLAS probably saves us 4 headcount.

"Versatile and Effective Solution for Report Building"

What do you like best?

The available training videos are very informative and the software itself is intuitive. It can be easily shared and edited via the Excel Add In (which a lot of end users really like). They are always coming out with new and useful functionality to meet the evolving needs of the customer.

What do you dislike?

I dislike having to clear out both the local and server cache before being able to access and query new data entities. I think once a cache clear is triggered on either side, the other should refresh automatically.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Atlas provides visibility into financial data for projects and allows accountants to search and view live, production data to gain insight into the financial status of a project. The auditing of projects has become easier, thanks to the ability to add custom data entities with OData connections. The addition of calculated fields and different filters make this product extremely valuable to our organization as a whole. Users no longer have to wait for BI reports to get published in order to see transactions that have occurred on the project.

"New user but seems very functional"

What do you like best?

The interface is easy to use and there are many tutorials that assist in utilizing this software. The auto-coding tools are helpful in large qualitative datasets; however, I would always recommend checking each case to make sure it truly fits into a specific code. You can also auto-code things and then have additional coders read through it in order to verify the coding.

What do you dislike?

I have had some technological problems with the program shutting down on me for no reason. Otherwise, I like the program so far.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Use the starter guide and tutorials when learning how to work the program. It is very helpful when you're able to learn the tips and tricks up front.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This is very helpful with exploratory research questions and organizing qualitative interviews, critical incident technique surveys, etc. Haven't started utilizing this feature quite yet, but really appreciate that videos, images, etc., can also be analyzed.

"Matt Reviews Atlas"

What do you like best?

Overall Atlas is ascetically appealing in comparison to other 3rd party vendors. Customer support is very thorough and there to answer my questions in a speedy manner.

What do you dislike?

That its difficult to tell what you entered incorrectly to receive a bounce back when entering product details. This can take hours to correct, but again, customer support is helpful to elevate the majority of issues that I run into when generating insertion orders.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Don't be afraid of Atlas since their customer support is so good.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Ensuring that all details of campaign placements are logged - and that is both a problem solver for ad ops and speeds up the entry process. It also works well when having to match line items up precisely with agency insertion orders.

The folks are easy to reach and talk to about your problems with the queries or reports or inquiries about the product. Also there is an knowledge base which is a list of current issues and resolutions.

It is a very useful tool to access data from Dynamics AX, the folks at Atlas are always listening to their customers to make improvements to their software.

In the planning stage of upgrading to the next version with Dynamics D365 so gather information on what will need to be done and possible issues/resolutions.
