Wonderful Veterinary Software!

What do you like best?

I worked with Avimark for 14 years at our vet clinic. We loved just about everything about it. They were constantly updating the program and making it better. They held annual conferences for the software, which helped us learn more about what it could do. They customer support line was great, very helpful!

What do you dislike?

Our only problems were that is was not cloud based and our data had to be held on a server. We updated our server due to our large database. Unfortunately we had a lot of slowness with the system as time went on. We are a very busy and progressive clinic, so these hindered us quite a bit. We ended up switching to a new cloud based software for these reasons. Although we like the speed and accessibility of our new system, we miss so so much about Avimark!

Recommendations to others considering the product

It was a great program for us. I personally miss its features and functionality a lot!!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This system was a huge asset in both in our hospital and boarding side. The inventory ordering was great as well. One of our favorite tools that helped us organize our systems facility wide was their Whiteboard feature. You could customize your whiteboard columns for your own needs and the way it integrated with the patient accounts was awesome. We used their inventory and ordering features and they were very user friendly.

What do you like best?

Love how user friendly this software is! Love that it is compatible with importing lab work from in house machines. Scheduling is very easy to read and work with. Patient files are organized and easy to read. Pricing is comparable to others in the market.

What do you dislike?

I do not have anything I didn’t like about AVImark. If I HAD to pick something, it may be that there isn’t an employee scheduling option. Would have been helpful to keep track of employee schedules all on one software.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I dislike how slow it can be when we are extremely busy. Also, it randomly crashes and slows us down.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ease of sending messages to staff members. It is also simple to email records and receipts. I like that it is easy to enter various forms of payment to a client's account.

Veterinary Technician

What do you like best?

The ease of use and search features. Extremely user friendly, easy to make estimates, take payments, add charges. Medical condition can continue being added through hospital stay, keeping all employees on the same page with patient care

What do you dislike?

Linking to outside diagnostics, inventory has been incredible difficult to use and keep up automatically, a lot of manual checking still. Sometimes the vaccine history won't print out correctly, meaning we have to go in and manually update it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Keeping our patient records and hospitalization organized. Continuous updating of patient records making flow of care streamlined and efficient.

Easy to use software, some improvement needed.

What do you like best?

This software was very easy to learn and use on a daily basis. Plus, there is live chat support available if we do have a hiccup and need help.

What do you dislike?

Inventory management is lacking serious capabilities. I don't think it is even tracking our sales correctly. There is alot left to be desired with the inventory.

Great customer management tool but terrible inventory management system

Keeping up with client information in a software that everyone can use from the Doctors to the Receptionists.

Avimark Review

What do you like best?

Avimark is very easy to use in the veterinary field and has a lot of different options/features. Being able to see 1 client and multiple pets of that client at one time is helpful. Being able to search by first name is helpful in those times where the last name is hard to make out. Transferring transactions from one account to the other enables the client to pay for multiple accounts with one transaction. Setting up the schedule in the format that fits the clinics needs keep things moving smoothly and appointments viewable.

What do you dislike?

There are many features that would be nice to have in Avimark, including being able to set up an auto delete of inactive accounts after so many years, including all attachments. It would be great if there could be more than 1 boarding calendar (to separate cats and dogs). Being able to email more than 1 document at a time would be helpful.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Avimark is great and easy to use! It is very simple to learn and their customer service is unbeatable. Being able to use Avimark and implement it in our daily needs every day is very helpful and makes our jobs go so much smoother. Finding information on certain clients/patients is very quick and easy thanks to the different search options available.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to implement discounts for clients, alter the schedule for our needs, print out records in a timely manner, attach previous records to an account, delete inactive accounts and change options for each client individually. We've been able to merge multiple accounts that were one person, integrate our credit card and care credit systems, learned how to attach received faxes to individual accounts, and how to rearrange the boarding kennel calendar to be more efficient.

Some flaws but otherwise a good experience

What do you like best?

I like how it keeps the schedule clear and organized throughout the day. I also appreciate how employees can use AVImark to keep track of inventory and use it to locate items needed.

What do you dislike?

For our computers, it runs very slowly and usually takes several minutes to open and when it does, it lags a lot.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Keep it up to date! We've run into the most problems when the software needed updated.

It helps us keep track of every little thing in clients electronic files and helps us stay on top of client's needs.
