"The best tool for modern JS development"

What do you like best?

It solves the gap between the new JavaScript specification and the browser's JavaScript engine implementation.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the configuration might be a bit confusing. In some small projects you could spend more time configuring your Babel plugins rather than actually coding

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you are going to need the new JavaScript features. Maybe your project is not big enough to make use of Babel and you can go without the configuration and transpiling phase at the beginning.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am able to have the latest ES features in my application so I don't have to polyfill them or make browser-specific implementations

"Babel feedback"

What do you like best?

We've used babel for compiling to ECMAScript 2015. Worked like a charm.

What do you dislike?

Nothing particular, everything went smooth.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Good tool, which allows speedup development of Single Page Application (SLA) by usage of the ES6. ES 6 is strongly better than it's previous version ES5, so development goes faster.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Compiling to ES5 to ES6.

What Static Code Analysis solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!

"Excellent Transpiler for JavaScript"

What do you like best?

Lets one use the latest JavaScript Features without having to worry the support on different browsers.

What do you dislike?

Set up is sometimes cumbersome. The setup is quite easy with webpack though.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use bleeding edge JavaScript features in our App development. Babel is required for working with libraries like react which use JSX.
