"Better compared to others"

What do you like best?

What I like best is that pricing on rates and virtual numbers are indeed the most economical. I do like the speedy response from customer support and quick resolution of my issues.

What do you dislike?

Bandwith has the best rates but it doesn't help me a lot when there are never any numbers available in the areas in which I need them.

"Competent. Reliable. "

What do you like best?

Easy to use/navigate user interface. Implementation of suggested enhancements.

What do you dislike?

Haven't found anything yet and we have been working with Bandwidth for over 5 years.

Moving our 911 services to Bandwidth has saved time, reduced the number of reps needed to perform work and simplified a very complicated, cumbersome process into one that is very streamline.

What do you like best?

Very good communication, the Bandwidth portal is simple to use. You have almost all what you need.

Some issues with porting orders, for example last minute FOC orders

Bandwidth have very simple tool for numbers ordering and user friendly interface. The telephone numbers start working as soon as they ordered via Portal. You can simply configure number forwarding at any time or change CNAM record. You can order TF numbers and porting from other carriers.

"Amazing Porting Partner "

What do you like best?

They are always willing to help and have the best attitude when doing so.

What do you dislike?

Being transferred around on the phone when our rep is not available. It would be nice to have a number to call the team that works with our rep when he is not available.

We have the absolute best relationship with Bandwidth. They are amazing to work with, which is not something I can say about a lot of other porting partners. We have a direct contact that we work with most of the time unless he is unavailable and he is amazing. He goes the extra mile when needed, especially on LNP rejections. Cannot say enough positive things about this company!

What do you like best?

Working with the LNP and support team is always a positive experience. The sense of urgency to resolve our issues is best in class.

"My experience with Bandwidth has improved greatly with our new manager Matt Pols."

What do you like best?

Improved relations with BW employees has helped greatly by knowing our product/services we provide for our customers. As we are a VRS provider, it has benefited us having BW understand how we operate and serve our customers. The new dashboard had a bumpy start, but new features similar to the old dashboard are now available and more robust.

What do you dislike?

We experienced some issues with numbers being lost or not reported as ported out, but this has improved significantly. Working through several manager changes was difficult, but I believe we are in a good place with Matt Pols. All of his hard work and attentiveness is much appreciated.

Ensure they provide a good line of communication with your Customer Success Advocate.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As discussed above, we had difficulties with the new platform not providing the same reporting tools, but this has since been added. However, Bandwidth was diligent in providing this info when it was not available to us. We also had to address many lost/ported out numbers during the migration, but I believe this was something that needed to be tackled and we may not have known the extent of this issue if it had not been for the migration. Having one dedicated Customer Success Advocate has helped communication and we have recently been assigned Hannah Rogers to assist with LNP services, both of which are a huge benefit for us. Thank you!

"Bandwidth is a vendor I deal with on a daily basis"

What do you like best?

Bandwidth and I had a rough start, Bandwidth is a vendor for my company and there where issues at first. We where assigned a project manager that assisted with resolving our issues. After 8 months we are issue free in my department. Their website is easy to maneuver in and requests are normally processed very quickly.

What do you dislike?

I would like to have the ability to set a disconnect date in the web portal, instead of holding my disco orders until the disconnect date. I would like to see Bandwidth explore complex captions, today we are limited to 1 straight-line main. I would also like to see the import (file upload) feature work for my team.

"Good Service and Support"

What do you like best?

Support is generally very quick to respond to questions and address problems.

What do you dislike?

Some of the provisioning is hokey. There are fields in the portal that do nothing and in fact should not be filled out at all, instead you need to open a case with support.

We get a level of service comparable to our "tier 1" providers at a fraction of the cost, with (generally) better support

"Great for the price"

What do you like best?

The price is nice and it also allows for me to forward to a cellphone pretty quickly.

What do you dislike?

I have to wait for them to undo a forwarding because a 10 digit forwarding isn't something comon.

"Better web interface"

What do you like best?

The web interface that was implemented last year was a drastic improvement to the previous interface.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that once a port request is submitted, the user has to to back and add the documents (invoice, LOA, etc.). Adding these documents should all be done BEFORE the user hits the submit button.

I echo the sentiments of another reviewer. When doing an implementation or project port, get one technical Bandwidth team member as your point of contact. Having multiple people involved make the process convoluted.

What do you like best?

We are in constant contact with their Team to make adjustments, and they are always on top of things and quick to respond. You should use their product not only because of their role, but because of their phenomenal support staff!

"Outstanding service"

What do you like best?

Bandwidth has provided an extremely reliable service with no discernible outages during the last 4 years of use. Call connect time is extremely rapid and voice quality is always superb. Their support team is always fast and responsive for any issues we've encountered using their management system. Their dev team is receptive to requests for new functionality in their new portal.

What do you dislike?

Their new portal does lack some functionality, but as it's still a beta product we can't really ding them for that. Sometimes port requests do stagnate but contacting their support team will get the ball rolling again quickly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have enough usage to justify the minimum spend with Bandwidth, I highly recommend their services. In the last four years we've had absolutely stellar service.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We utilize Bandwidth for our hosted PBX services - they have reduced our monthly telco costs compared to our previous vendors and have provided a highly reliable service. They offer redundant termination and origination points unlike a lot of small scale vendors, which is essentially mandatory for any sort of professional service. Moving our PBX services to Bandwidth.com changed our service from one that experienced outages every few months due to upstream telco issues into one that's able to offer five nines reliability, all the while reducing our overhead costs.

"Friendly and Helpful"

What do you like best?

Everyone I interact with at Bandwidth is friendly. All representatives that are assigned to our account are on the ball and help us with any questions we have. They have sent account managers to us to visit, as well as allowed some of our team to visit their office. Their APIs are easy to integrate with and their portal is easy to navigate. We can pull most any kind of report we wish and if there isn't a way for us to get it in the portal, all we need to do is ask our account manager and he gets us what we need. It's also nice that they show the carrier of a telephone number when you are submitting a port request.

What do you dislike?

It is too easy to port numbers away from Bandwidth.com as they are a wholesaler and do not keep End User information. So anyone can submit a port using any company name and address and it is released.

Porting numbers is a pain, but Bandwidth.com assigned us a porting representative that works all our orders. This makes communication easy and direct. We also have a customer advocate manager assigned to our account that helps us with anything outside the porting realm. If he can't answer a question, he always finds someone who can. Most issues we had in the past have been taken care of through direct communication.

"Love Bandwidth as a Vendor"

What do you like best?

The service is solid. The customer service is top notch. My tickets and questions are handled with care and immediately, even when I just need more training.

Mostly they are great. The portals are separate and the automated tools can cost more than doing things manually.

"Exceptional Service and Customer Service"

What do you like best?

The personable employees. When you call you get a live person who is ready and able to assist you. Everyone is always respectful and courteous towards you. If you can't reach someone via phone you're able to open a ticket and it's worked quickly not left on a back burner. You get the feeling that your issue is important.

Everyone is considerate, ready and able to assist you when you call in. We have been very pleased with communication and service. Each tech is ready to assist you and to quickly resolve your issue. I like the layout of the dashboard and how I can generally get someone on the phone quickly if I call in

What do you like best?

Their Reps know what they are doing and try to help out in all they can and give me understanding on things and processes I don't know.

They don't have strict procedures for allowing numbers to port out.

"Telecom Order Analyst "

What do you like best?

Bandwidth team members always go above and beyond to answer my questions, explain in detail, and resolve issues quickly. They are very personable and friendly, they make porting less stressful.

I don't like how easy it is to port numbers away from Jive, we have been working with Bandwidth to come up with a solution to better protect our customer's number from being ported away unauthorized.

"Solid Partner End-to-end."

What do you like best?

Bandwidth is easy to work with. They have local support teams that are cool and software/APIs that make integration a breeze. They understand our business work diligently to ensure we are utilizing them to the full extent and act quickly on feedback or enhancement requests.

What do you dislike?

There are still holes in what they offer. T.38 faxing over SIP, international DIDs, and account hierarchy limitations are the primary concern. We don't currently see these on the roadmap.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Bandwidth is a US company with limitations to their local presense. If that suits you, they are a wonderful company with the flexibility to do nearly anything with the proper development goals.

Our primary business problem was having an underlying carrier that was easy and efficient to work with and allowed us to quickly grow without concern that something at our foundation would break.

I mostly work with the number porting team and they are so helpful and will work through any problem big or small. They are very patient and through in their work.

"Great experiences with Bandwidth!"

What do you like best?

The employees at Bandwidth go above and beyond every single day even when things are tedious or tricky. I can always count on them to deliver. They make sure to let you know if they are experiencing any delays, issues or if they are short staffed. However, they always seem to pull someone from another team to help aid if they are short staffed. It is really nice to know and feel like they truly are trying everything they can to help your company suceed and be there for you and supportive while not making you feel annoying.

Currently, I am happy with everything. I do wish certain teams were more available in terms of days of the week however, I understand why they are not.

"I don't know what I would do without Bandwidth by my side!"

What do you like best?

Every Bandwidth team member that I have ever worked with has been exceptionally pleasant! In the rare cases that I need support beyond the expertise of the individual I am working with, they are sure to connect me to someone that can help me and follow up to ensure my needs have been met. You DO NOT get that personal attention from any other, than Bandwidth!

What do you dislike?

Not too much to say here. I was a customer that had originally worked on their legacy platform. Though their new portal is great, there are features I wish they would have incorporated from the DASHboard. I just don't easily accept change, more so a personal issue than a dislike to Bandwidth.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Bandwidth has competitive pricing in comparison to other companies with similar offerings. The only difference, other companies "You get what you pay for". Not Bandwidth! They exceed any and all expectations I could have imagined!

You will not regret working with Bandwidth and the wonderful team members employed there; you become part of the family!

I work for a true ILEC/CLEC/ITSP. We have our own numbering resources, I can personally port from 60+ providers within their proprietary systems, BUT... because of Bandwidth we have the capability to sell and service outside of our direct footprint. It is awesome, our customers LOVE it!

"Porting/Number Ordering"

What do you like best?

Kerry is fantastic to work with! We have had a few escalations and Kerry has been willing to work with us on each of them to resolve them. Porting in general is the worst but with Bandwidth it is a little easier and alot less time consuming! For example, I requested a port on Monday and within an hour I had FOC for the 10th! That is one week and one hour I had an answer for my customer!

What do you dislike?

We could use more training on the new ordering portal.

When we have an issue it is a little hard to get in touch with the porting team over the phone. I understand the need to work through emails and call backs when you have a fire there is a direct need for voice to voice.

Ordering numbers are instant! Our customers are very high demand and want things now, with Bandwidth that is possible!

I dont dislike anything except that backorder process for numbers. This can take 90 days plus and my customers just wont wait that long.

"LNP Directory"

What do you like best?

Prompt replies when calling for an issue.

Quick replies to support tickets too.

Off Net ports, using a 3rd party to port.Makes prices higher, makes porting times slower, a lot of control is lost with 3rd party carriers.

Changes to off net ports are not automatically seen, opening a ticket or calling is required.

Off net ports require a automatic activation at 11:30 am.

"Bandwidth is very helpful with resolving rejections in the porting process."

What do you like best?

I like that there is a team of experienced professionals that are willing to help whenever needed.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it is difficult to get an agent on the phone when the call volume is heavy. There is no option to stay on hold because eventually the system sends you to voicemail.

Resolving rejections in porting from the losing carriers.

"Solid quality - nice interface - slow response to urgent support"

What do you like best?

Solid voice quality

Expansive API

Nice GUI

Routing is instant and flexible

Emergency support is very hard to access

Actual bills haven't matched initial agreements

Haven't been able to get certain support via phone (specifically Toll Free)

Rate Center Coverage is not as available as I was made to believe

Multiple APIs make it difficult to understand which one is the right one to use

"Long-time Satisfied Customer"

What do you like best?

We have Been a Bandwidth Customer for more than 3 years. The service is simple to use, support is always on and new service requests are handled methodically and without drama

What do you dislike?

It took a long time to get on the web portal. For some reason I was not aware that I would be able to management my SIP trunks myself until I mentioned I was a little frustrated that I had to put a ticket in for simple changes. I was using the portal a few days later.

Recommendations to others considering the product

the company cannot help you with internal hardware or software issues. You must think of them as providing a "dial tone" THey will give you the settings, but if you are new to SIP trunking you will need a consultant or invest time in learning how to configure SIP trunks

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have multiple SIP servers and the Bandwidth SIP Trunks we have allow us to use them in aggregate without assigning each trunk to a server. So when on server is getting more than tother we don't have to do anything, the trunks just work.

The reps are very helpful and are always available.

We use Bandwidth Wholesale to procure numbers in regions where we do not have the availability as well as Bandwidth's porting capabilities for regions we do not have our own LRN set up

What do you like best?

I find that Kerry and the support team at Bandwidth to be most helpful and really seem to care about resolving any issues we may be experiencing.

What do you dislike?

So far the only issue I have come across is that when I have multiple numbers to release, I cannot do them in bulk, each number needs to be done individually, also the same for feature requests.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have found Bandwidth to be more cost effective for us. The E911 options is especially beneficial, and is working out great for us.

"Bandwidth.com review"

What do you like best?

We appreciate the overall reliability of the Bandwidth network, as well as the ability to have a back up connection to our servers.

What do you dislike?

We had a problem several years ago where another carrier ported away some of our active Bandwidth.com numbers without our authorization. Bandwidth.com did not provide a confirmation process to avert this. It took a lot of time and effort on our part to resolve the problem.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our business model requires nearly perfect 24/7 reliability. We found other voip providers significantly less reliable with fairly frequent service interruptions. We switched to Bandwidth in 2010 at the recommendation of more experienced voip users and have found the service meets our needs.

"Bandwidth Dashboard"

What do you like best?

- Portal functions such as porting information, number check, DID ordering numbers, project status

What do you dislike?

On the new Ordering Numbers Portal, there is no way to select more than one number at a time or select all. The old Portal still better than the new one.

What do you like best?

We have noticed fewer "bogus" rejections on LNP orders than other vendors.

What do you dislike?

Nothing really to dislike. Bandwidth is a valued vendor for our company.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Bandwidth offers a robust API that we have been able to take full advantage of. This prevents manual errors and has increased our efficiency. We also like the ability to view "new" TNs in the Bandwidth portal. "Other" vendors do not allow this.

"Best Wholesale VoIP Partner"

What do you like best?

We've been a Bandwidth wholesale customer and user for over 10 years. The coverage, reliability and support is great. More importantly, we've been happy that Bandwidth is constantly improving and investing into building out better tools (portals, APIs, etc) to help automate or improve things. This is something we see a lack of with competitors (most competitors provide only barebones tools). Bandwidth has also been flexible and accommodating in terms of working with us as needs change.

What do you dislike?

I really don't have any issues with Bandwidth itself. Sometimes policies change or things come up with that I'm happy with, but those are mostly related to the industry as a whole or compliance so they're not really entirely in Bandwidth's control. When they do come up though, Bandwidth always works with us to try to find a solution that everyone is happy with. No company will be perfect so I judge companies based on how they resolve them.

Bandwidth gives us access to a very large wholesale footprint so that we're able to offer VoIP service nationwide from a single source.
