What do you like best?
The product is very easy to use and intuitive. The ability to conduct activities on a cell phone or tablet makes the product robust at point of use, and reporting is streamlined. Ease continually updates the product and makes it better each month. They have been very interested in feedback from the user group and have incorporated many suggestions from users.
What do you dislike?
I wish there were additional quality tools associated with the software, like nonconformance tracking and links to the corrective action side (currently being developed and enhanced). In general, there are very few things that are not to like about the Beacon product or Ease team.
Recommendations to others considering the product
The support team is exceptional, with a focus on continued enhancement to the software. I have been very impressed with the team since the beginning of our relationship as Customer/Supplier. This software was a breeze to implement, and the training was conducted in a matter of hours, instead of weeks. No "support team" was needed, and most of the activities can be done via WebEx.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The administration of our LPA process has been minimized. The reporting features allow us to analyze data that was formerly not available. The randomization of questions feature helps us keep audits fresh and relevant. The ability to categorize the audits into buckets has allowed us to add 5S, Safety, and other internal audit elements to the LPA process. This has allowed us to take a familiar tool and implement it across not only the plant, but across the division.
