"Dynamics 365 + HubSpot Bedrock Connector - Good product until you run into duplicate data issues!"

What do you like best?

We've been using Bedrock since ~2015 to connect our Dynamics 365 CRM & HubSpot records. Their connectors continue to improve with each release. Bedrock's Support Team has been great to work with when we've had issues. We also greatly appreciate how quickly Bedrock syncs data between our two systems. Their dashboard GUI is pretty easy to use.

What do you dislike?

Managing Duplicate Data:

For the most part, the integration is great until you run into duplicate data issues. The way Bedrock counts "duplicate" records is HORRIBLE!! If CRM has duplicate Contact records with the same email address, your synchronization on that contact record will stop working (EVEN IF YOU DEACTIVATE THE DUPLICATE CONTACT RECORDS OR DELETE THE EMAIL ADDRESSES ON THE DUPLICATE RECORDS!).

Bedrock's UI also doesn't allow users to "reset" individual contact records to correct known duplicates. If you want to refresh your sync, you have to reset the ENTIRE system - which takes up to 24+ hours depending on the number of records synced between the two systems. Search History filter in the dashboard is glitchy & it doesn't give as much insight as we had hoped when we were sold on upgrading to the new platform.

New Connector Releases:

We switched from V1 Connector to V2 in 2016 which was painful and time consuming. Even with Bedrock's help, there were so many changes between our old connector and their latest version that we had a lot of work to do just to get it up and running.

It was NOT a seamless conversion. I felt we were pushed to migrate to a beta versus a GA-release software. In 2017, Bedrock released a new Connector to support MSFT Dynamics' newest release (Dynamics 2016 Update 1). Thankfully, our 2017 migration went much smoother than the year before!

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you understand the caveats to the system (i.e. how duplicate data is treated, quirks when setting up field mappings). Also - make sure you plan ahead when they push a major release. Their Support team is always very helpful and easy to work with - which is definitely something you want to consider when evaluating any SaaS product!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a way to integrate our primary system of record (Dynamics CRM) with our HubSpot Marketing automation systems. Our goal was to sync inbound leads from HubSpot forms into CRM and send emails to our contacts from HubSpot.

"Excellent Company, solution, and people"

What do you like best?

It's hard to pick a "best" - The solution is powerful, easy to set up and use. It requires little attention once it is set up. The implementation process is very efficient and productive. The technical staff at Bedrock Data are extremely knowledge and easy to work with. They are comfortable communicating either at a high level or deeply technical. They understand our business and tailored their solution to maximize our mutual capabilities.

What do you dislike?

There sync error messages could be more helpful but they are constantly being improved. any questions or needed assistance are readily answered by the support team. So not really a dislike but area of improvement that is seen at a regular pace.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Great solution and great company. As a data integration company we have a great appreciation for the robust solution that is easy to implement manage and has great support.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We enlisted Bedrock Data to integrate our inbound marketing solution - HubSpot - with our Zoho CRM. With our integration we now can get all pertinent information on a customer, prospect or account right in our Zoho CRM application for all our CRM users without the added expense of additional HubSpot users and the additional training that would have been required running two systems. Great solution - very efficient!

"Powerful integrations, friendly support team"

What do you like best?

First and foremost, the HubSpot to Cvent integration was something that our marketing team desperately needed. At the time, there were no other integrations that offered this functionality. It was SO time-consuming to gather and compare data from both systems. As soon as the initial set-up was complete, we took the integration and ran with it. We now have all sorts of automated reports, marketing automation campaings, etc. It's saved us a ton of time. And, because of the new automated functionality that we can do, we were able to sell more seats to our pricey regional training events.

As I mention below, the implementation took longer than anticipated, but despite that, I really felt like Bedrock worked well with us. They were transparent with the technical issues that came up. They responded very quickly to any questions we had.

Another plus for us is that once the initial implementation was complete, the integration does not require any maintenance. It was a "set it and forget it" service, which is exactly what we wanted.

What do you dislike?

My company was one of the first HubSpot-Cvent integrations that Bedrock Data had done, so initial implementation took longer than we had anticipated. There were some technical difficulties getting everything in place.

"Does what we need but with a few problem areas"

What do you like best?

I like how our data from HubSpot now flows to NetSuite and back to HubSpot.

What do you dislike?

That we have hang-ups in data flow and sometimes the integration cannot support the way you want the data to sync.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's sometimes hard to get our information to integrate from NetSuite to HubSpot. The data takes quite a long time to push and pull, but that might be because we carry a lot of the data over from one to another. The support has been great, just wish there were an easier way to convert data from the contact to the company level. Also, wish there was an option to have premade integration templates or someone who can really do the integrating for you.

Our sales team was using HubSpot before as their CRM and marketing were using it as their CMS and for website hosting. Sales wanted to move their CRM to NetSuite and we needed the two to integrate with each other to make sure there was transparency between sales, marketing and the rest of the business.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The lack of data in both systems. The benefits are that now the sales and marketing teams can be on the same page when it comes to working contacts and companies as well as tracking current customers and partners.

"Powerful integrator that is easy to use"

What do you like best?

We used Bedrock Data for the integration between HubSpot and Zoho CRM. It worked out perfectly. It's easy to setup with low maintenance. Bedrock Data has powerful features, especially the custom field mapping and auto-sync made a huge difference for our business. Its customer support is impressive. Our tickets were always answered within a day and phone support was available anytime when needed. We didn't just get a data integration application but a team of data experts behind our business.

What do you dislike?

I have not come across anything that I don't like.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With the help of Bedrock Data, we made our tech stack much focused, simpler, and manageable. We were able to improve the efficiency and productivity of our marketing operations including inside sales by having Bedrock Data connected marketing data with sales data in nearly real-time. Interactive and integrated tracking then became a part of our standard operational procedure that was not even possible before. This further enabled real-time custom reporting for different roles within the company, and helped us make truly data-driven decisions.

"Big potential, with difficult implementation"

What do you like best?

In concept Bedrock Data is very powerful, allowing the end user to set up integration without having to be able to code or understand how APIs work.

What do you dislike?

The implementation has been far more complex than we were expecting (and to be honest we probably didn't do enough due diligence before purchasing). Often the end result simply doesn't perform as you would expect, and being located in a different country it can be difficult to get a timely response from support.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do thorough research of all your options in advance of purchase. Understand that "2-way integration" means different things to different people. Yes, Bedrock Data can help you write data in two directions between connected applications, but it will take one application as the "system of record". This means that you'll constantly be answering questions about "but I made that change in system A yesterday...why hasn't it updated in system B."

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Integrating HubSpot with ConnectWise for contacts, opportunities and (eventually I hope) certain types of activities. Being able to segment our entire contact database using HubSpot's Smart Lists and having the faster, web based UI for creating/updating opportunities has been a huge benefit, but so far, it hasn't saved any significant amount of time over what we were previously doing manually.

"Awesome platform & service for connecting app's!"

What do you like best?

I have really enjoyed working with the Bedrock Data team. They've been very responsive and helpful in implementing connectors, especially when it has involved a platform that I'm not super familiar with. Inside the tool, the field mapping process is fairly intuitive, which is important when I don't have a dedicated in-house technologist.

What do you dislike?

So far, I haven't really come across anything that I do not like. The price seems a bit high (par for the industry, though), but the value of not dealing with a custom integration is key.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The product is powerful, the support team is phenomenal, and the dedication to true partnership is top-notch. Their onboarding team is very knowledgeable and their process is efficient. I feel comfortable in the application knowing that I can reach out for quick resolution if I come up against any issues.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Primarily, we use it to integrate CRM tools with marketing automation tools when a native integration does not exist in either platform. This obviously addresses data friction and process gaps when we can inject automation into previously manual processes.

"Does not work well with HubSpot-Close.io integration"

What do you like best?

Initial setup was fairly painless and quick. Onboarding was managed by Director of Customer Success, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Knowledgebase was still developing but contained useful articles.

What do you dislike?

My company was trying to integrate HubSpot and Close.io, and this project ended in disaster. This was not for a lack of trying over several months and working closely with both HubSpot and Close.io support team along with Bedrock Data. The product lacks any useful and reliable functionality with Close.io integration.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do your homework and make sure that Bedrock Data is able to accomplish all of the integration tasks that you are looking for. Make full use of their free trial and don't start paying until you are convinced that it will work for you.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We initially signed up for Bedrock Data in order to avoid having to manually create multiple zaps using Zapier for each type of field value change. In the end, we reluctantly went with Zapier.

"Would not recommend"

What do you like best?

It is relatively easy to setup, the admin interface is not complicated. The price is low (although in my opinion in ends up costing you more because you have to spend several hours supporting it).

What do you dislike?

I would not recommend Bedrock data and their integration tool. It is not a mature solution. The only reason we use them is because we couldn’t find other alternative to connect to ConnectWise. If anyone knows of an alternative, please let us know.

1) When there is a problem with the integration, the only information you get from their dashboard is “Error: Unknown”.

2) Companies with the same name are considered duplicates, Contacts with the same email address are considered duplicates (even if they have different record Ids in your system). If you have any duplicates, the only way to flush them out is to perform a reset of their database. The reset takes 2 or 3 DAYS so you would usually want to run it during the weekend. But, their support is only M-F 9 to 5, so if there are any errors during the reset you are stuck with “Error: Unknown” and nobody will respond to your emails or phone calls until Monday morning. So your integration will be down for 4-5 days or more.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you ask questions about how the fields are updated between two systems. You cannot update the fields in both systems - only one of them has edit - read/write access. If you have a 24x7 operation their tool will not work for you. If you have a M-F 8x5 business, you are going to be crossing your fingers a lot hoping that their tool works and you will be disappointed frequently.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Integration between ConnectWise and Salesforce.

"Easy to use integrations"

What do you like best?

It makes it very easy for us to integrate our PRM system into CRMs like Salesforce and NetSuite without it being a huge undertaking. This makes it much easier when on-boarding clients.

What do you dislike?

All of the data being pushed for drop down menus has to be exactly the same options. It would be awesome to be able to map drop downs to different selections within the CRM.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have systems that need to be integrated this is a great option to look into. Our implementation so far has been very easy and learning how to set up integrations and create workflows is very very simple.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It allows our system to integrate directly with our user's CRM. This ability opens up a large number of opportunities for teams that need data pushed through to their CRM.

"Great integration for Hubspot to Zoho"

What do you like best?

once you understand how it works, it's easy to use and works consistently.

What do you dislike?

There was definitely a bit of an initial learning curve I wasn't expecting but all in all, it was doable for me.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Bedrock Data enables me to track revenue back to marketing channels between hubspot and zoho which has been super helpful to me and my team.

"Great hands on support to get integrations up and running fast!"

What do you like best?

We were looking for a two-way integration between our sales CRM and Hubspots marketing platform. Not only does Bedrock support that integration, but it turns out they have quite a few ex-Hubspot developers on their team. My support rep had a lengthy call with me to figure out our unique integration goals and then jumped right in to set it up for me.

What do you dislike?

A few issues with the data sync initially, but that is almost to be expected.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If I could give them more than a 7 for customer support and onboarding support, I would!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- Data consistency across software solutions

- Sales & marketing team collaboration
