"Trash those notice boards!"

What do you like best?

Beekeeper enables us to set up our internal communication and dialogue in a modern way that appeals to colleagues of all generations

What do you dislike?

Nothing I can think of.... If I could change one thing, then it would be the title of the stream that is now written all over the key visual. I'd like the key visual to be seen without the text on it, the caption can be underneath or in a corner of the picture. This is only a small detail that annoys me.

Get the buy-in from your top and middle management. Use involvement campaigns to get it started.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We see more engagement from our colleagues that work in one of our 25 units spread over the world - we get to hear more about successful customer installations, pictures from laundries and concerns from the local teams. It is a great, modern, fast way of being in touch with our colleagues.

"Communications, Change Management and Employee Engagement in one single tool"

What do you like best?

With Beekeeper we were able to connect our employees in the department stores. Most of them have no corporate e-mail address and no access to the intranet and have literally been excluded of the communication process. The intuitive interface allowed them to quickly become part of the community.

What do you dislike?

I'd like to have more text editing features and sometimes I'd like to be informed more quickly if they have bugs after a new release.

In general Beekeeper is a fantastic partner, always listening to their customers and providing an excellent customer support.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Beekeeper helped us solving 3 problems.

- Communications: finally the whole company is connected and better informed

- Employee Engagement: Beekeeper helps us to change our company culture from a hierarchical top-down approach towards a culture of dialogue and collaboration.

- Change management: Beekeeper helps us to prepare our staff better for the digital transformation and overcoming people's fear of other digital tools.

"Excellent communication tool with top support"

What do you like best?

The tool is attractive and user friendly and efficient for conveying information, while at the same time fostering exchange and interaction between members. The tool allows for a lot of flexibility and have great bonus features such as the slideshow functionality.

We receive regular updates about new features added in the tool and get support to get started. I have also taken part in an experience exchange with other customers organized by Beekeeper to get ideas for how to get the most out of the tool. Whenever we have questions or experience any issues, the Beekeeper team is very responsive and have always helped us to resolve any issues in a timely manner.

I have followed the Beekeeper webinar series with big interest and profited from many interesting insights that have positively impacted the daily work.

It is a pleasure to use the tool and to deal with the team at Beekeeper!

What do you dislike?

When I type a url in a post a thumbnail with the link is created (great!), but when I erase the url the thumbnail goes away. It would be nice if the thumbnail could stay without the url. The thumbnail could be deleted manually if desired.

"Finally connecting the unconnected"

What do you like best?

Beekeeper enabled us to accurately target and measure our internal communication. We are able to directly communicate with all our employees for the first time and don't have to rely on local managers anymore to relay important messages to their employees.

What do you dislike?

Beekeeper is a fantastic partner and works proactively to minimize any problems for their customers. As they are rapidly expanding and always adding new features, there have been a few short downtimes, although never anything major.

If you are a company with a majority of non-desktop workers and want to be able the communicate with them in an easy, efficient manner, which additionally also is a lot of fun, then Beekeeper is the perfect tool for you

"Beekeeper is the solution to work place communication!"

What do you like best?

For our business, I like the fact that we are able to have multiple streams. We have it where each department has a stream and then we have four company streams. For each department, they are able to utilize it how they feel is best. Whether that is putting up schedules, communicating problems, or even just as a way to transition from shift to shift. The three company wide streams that we have are the typical all information stream - for the whole store to know any updates, a product stream - to inform our staff of all new products or discontinued products, a caught in the act stream - that allows anyone to give praise to other employees at any given time, and a free range stream - where employees can post their non-business related thoughts. We like to utilize this to allow employees to show off any ideas, art work, or any talents that they have.

What do you dislike?

I have only been working with Beekeeper for about a month now, but have yet to find something I dislike. It seems that Beekeeper as a company listens to the requests that their clients have and try to accommodate them.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Communication! We were having a difficult time communicating through the different departments. Beekeeper has allowed us to have a platform in which we can constantly communication throughout the departments. With this platform, we have been able to have multiple streams that help us manage our communication whether it is for just the managers, for the whole store, or even specific departments.

"Wonderful Product!"

What do you like best?

Beekeeper has allowed us to engage and collaborate with employees across our organization on all shifts and in all departments. Our employees thank and appreciate each other regularly and everyone feels more informed and included.

What do you dislike?

It would be great if there were some additional functionality within the chat function for groups.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We began looking for a solution after the Oroville Dam crisis when we realized we needed a fast and efficient way to communicate with our employees in emergency situations. Beekeeper was the answer to that and more! The benefits of using Beekeeper include increased engagement, communication, appreciation, inclusion and more. We are extremely happy with our partnership with Beekeeper.

"An engaging platform for front line staff"

What do you like best?

It's intuitive, pretty easy to use. It's great to be able to have store documents available and links for staff to reference. I think it's also good for staff to not only have access to a great deal of communication so that their awareness is increased, but also for them to feel rewarded for engaging by the "likes" of their peers.

What do you dislike?

It'd be cool if we could have documents show up according to someone's login. For example, we have overarching store documents that everyone needs access to, but there are departmental manuals that not everyone needs access to and which would only clutter things up if we put them on there for everyone.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're early into this process yet but it seems like it's a way for staff to feel included and more in-the-know about what's going on. The information was out there before, but not in a way that many people took advantage of, and I think it was because it was disorganized and not engaging. This helps change that.

"Great tool for driving employee engagement!"

What do you like best?

I love that Beekeeper can easily connect all employees in a business with over 800 staff members. Communication is easy and we are able to reach users who work different shifts at any time. We are able to share photos, promotions and features of the business through this app, as opposed to receiving so many emails. We have recently started to implement the Survey function which we aim to use for Learning and Development and are really excited with the information that Beekeeper can provide for us. We can see that our teams like to use the app too, many employees who wouldn't normally have a "voice" can promote their department and celebrate their achievements. As a Group, we had a regional workshop in which all properties were invited to share photos, stories and celebrations which was delightful to see since we don't always connect with the other properties. Beekeeper gives us a more personal opportunity to connect with our staff and employees which email and phone calls cannot do. Further, it provides a much better control than a social media platform would so it is very ideal for business communication. Lastly, we have been using an "Innovate" steam where colleagues are encouraged to pitch benefiting ideas to Senior Management and they can get rewarded.

What do you dislike?

Nothing. Looking forward to further innovations!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

1. Learning and Development- We are testing the Survey function to "quiz" employees on their understanding of training topics. This can either be an alternative to classroom training or reinforced after classroom training- which can save a lot of time (and paper) for the Trainers and employees.

2. Employee Recognition- For those employees who may not pass a physical board where we show off photos, we can still publicly recognize them for their contributions or awards received. The feature that other colleagues, department leaders and managers can also "like" and comment to congratulate increases the amount of recognition.

3. Increased knowledge about other departments/team spirit- Through email it is quite difficult to promote a special menu because it's just text. However, with Beekeeper, we are able to show photos as well as text. This creates lots of excitement among the teams as we can visualize it and describe in detail to our customers. Our employees tend to congratulate the other employees when they post these.

4. Innovation- We implemented a reward program for employees to provide ideas that benefit the business, their department, themselves or any other area. The Senior Management reviews the idea and if it can be implemented, the employee will receive an award. We have implemented 2-3 ideas in some aspect already.

"Great communication tool, very helpful team"

What do you like best?

Beekeeper is really easy to use meaning all colleagues should be able to navigate it without any formal training etc.

The Beekeeper team are great, very responsive and helpful.

What do you dislike?

It would be great if there was a possibility of turning on pop up notifications for posts and chats, even when you do not have the Beekeeper page loaded (so it works more in the background). I think this would encourage colleagues to use it more if they seen notifications appear. I realise there are email notifications but live would be better for us.

It's a great tool, but you need a strong team and plan internally to encourage engagement.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are struggling a little with continued engagement. We are working hard to create content that is both useful and 'fun' for all colleagues. Internally, we think visible use of Beekeeper by SMT would help encourage others to use it.

The benefits for our company thus far have been the visibility of our global offices (those who are engaged!), getting to know our fellow colleagues better.

"New Level of Effectiveness for our Communication Strategy"

What do you like best?

The mobile friendly solution has been the biggest value for our non-desk employees. Not only does it increase accessibility, but it uses functionality (like, @, share) that our millennial employee base uses in their personal social media software. I love the ability to use streams and chats to differentiate how we communicate, as well as the API feed capability so that we can link our other vendor partners through the Beekeeper application.

What do you dislike?

Not so much dislike, but more look forward to, some of the enhanced chat functionality that is coming that will make Beekeeper more competitive with other chat software.

Ensure you get commitment from key employees on utilization and advocacy so that total employee adoption rate can improve and be a strategic goal.

What do you like best?

The platform is very simple and intuitive for production workers. Beekeeper has kept the application simple, which is great for our audience.

What do you dislike?

Our user data is not clean and organized due to multiple Human Resources staff accessing the data/system frequently.

I highly recommend for its simplicity and easy set up and application user on boarding.

"The answer for connecting a non-desk workforce"

What do you like best?

Ease of use, familiar Facebook-like format, chat features + functionality and back end analytics

What do you dislike?

Lack of features within the chats. For instance, inability to tag another user, direct reply to a message in a group chat, or share a post from a stream within a chat

"Secure and efficient exchange of information"

What do you like best?

In healthcare, the handling of sensitive data is part of everyday life. Beekeeper allows us a secure and efficient exchange of information. At the same time, thanks to Beekeeper, we are able to overcome language barriers and flatten hierarchical structures. As a digital bulletin board, Beekeeper is part of our corporate culture to purposefully spread and classify our internal communications.

What do you dislike?

Chat communication can not be deleted, only archived.

Part time employees did not feel as part of the team. Now they are kept up to date and benefit of an easy communication.

"Great way to engage employees!"

What do you like best?

I love having a place to easily connect with team members all across the country. The streams are a great way to share announcements and recognition to specific groups and the chats are a fun and interactive way to stay connected with a number of different teams, groups, and individual members.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, the only thing I would change are some of the chat and tagging functions, but I know you guys are working on updates all the time!

"Beekeeper is enhancing our internal communication"

What do you like best?

We have a number of non-desktop users who previously struggled to communicate with one another and we struggled to communicate with them. We have a variety of different operations and it is easy for employees to feel disconnected from other operations. Beekeeper has enhanced and increased our communication within and across our different operations.

What do you dislike?

We have not found anything that we strongly dislike thus far. We do have a few teams who wish they could integrate their outlook calendars with Beekeeper, which is not an option at this time.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our employees can now communicate directly will all other employees. Previously, many of our employees had to rely on their managers to communicate with other employees. Also, our employees seem more engaged because they are receiving more information in one place.

"Best Internal Communication Solution for Business"

What do you like best?

Beekeeper is simple and powerful at the same time. We migrated our teams that were using WhatsUp to Beekeeper extremely easily. The solution is as easy to use as any consumer messaging app, but it's giving to enterprise users advanced features, particularly related to the security and the GDPR compliance.

What do you dislike?

Beekeeper is still missing some features you will find in WhatsApp like voice calling, sharing position etc.

Beekeeper is not the most advanced solution but it is the one of the simplest and the quality of the support we got was great.

Since we started using Beekeeper employee communication has exploded. We are able to engage and hold employees accountable like never before. And the best part is the staff love it!

Search functionality needs to have filters. No search on mobile app.

What do you like best?

It's very user friendly. I like the easy access to all of the different tabs and options I have to post, create what our company wants to communicate.

I dislike not being able to change the font. There are times I would like to or maybe there is a way I just haven't figured it out yet. :)

"An App to Keep Employees Informed"

What do you like best?

This app is great for communication between employees for our business. Not everyone works at a computer, or is in the office everyday, but with Beekeeper, we can keep each other updated.

What do you dislike?

It would be more convenient and easier for users if Beekeeper had an internal calendar. Although, with Zapier, we were able to create a Google Calendar to link.

Enjoy the efficiency of sending images of new products to everyone in the store.

What do you dislike?

When calling attention to individuals within a department using the @ it would be easier if instead of @name of each person in that department have a way to @department.

"Easy and practical tool to communicate with collaborators."

What do you like best?

Closed environment to share Information and different types of projects. We need Beekeeper to communicate with our collaborators and to share ideas and news.

What do you dislike?

We miss some individual functions, which are specific needs of our company. As there are so many requests from other customer, it may take a long time to realize those features. But all in all, it has a lot to offer.

What do you like best?

Ease and streamlining of multi-departmental communications.

Doesn't yet offer all of the functionality that we would ultimately like it to have, but it is evolving.

What do you like best?

The support and the opportunity to grow with Beekeeper.

What do you dislike?

Still too new to dislike anything. We haven't launched fully so we are still in process.

We will use it for communication between hotels, and departments. Connection to and from our company offices. Plan to use for onboarding and hope that it will connect to ADP/WFN. We will put our schedules on it for now and will also use it for best practices and recognition.

What do you like best?

The ability to communicate with each other quickly and from the ease of a phone can not be underestimated. Staff also have easier access to upper level managers which improves everyone's experience.

It is challenging to keep up with chats that are awaiting responses.

Beekeeper allows me to stay in-the-loop even when I'm away. This is useful as a part-time worker.
