Multi-Channel Digital Reporting is Made Simple with BIME

What do you like best?

BIME is fully customizable, which enables our agency to create dashboards and provide insights specific to client KPIs. The built-in integrations with major digital advertising providers—AdWords, Bing Ads, Facebook, Twitter, DoubleClick, etc—as well as the ease-of-use of custom API options give us the ability to provide 100% of our paid and organic reporting in one place.

What do you dislike?

There is a bit of a learning curve with BIME; while the idea of the platform is much like Excel, someone unfamiliar with creating queries or building dashboards won't be able to necessarily "jump in" and become your company's resident BIME admin from day 1. You should plan on some time for trial-and-error before migrating your client's data off of your existing BI platform.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Previously, all digital marketing reporting was done in Excel and PowerPoint—which not only ate up considerable resources, but left much room for human error. BIME has cut the turn-around time for client reporting down to the minimal set-up, since all reports are built-out upon campaign launch, and update from that point forward, automatically, in real-time. This frees up our channel experts for optimization, strategy development, and testing, which better suits their talents, and is a significantly better use of client budget.

We use this tool for reporting our SEO and paid search services to our clients

What do you like best?

You can make eye-pleasing reports for your clients and they are easy to duplicate if you have a bunch of different clients. There are a ton of different sources you can incorporate information from. This is nice because you can illustrate a ton of data from various places around the web.

What do you dislike?

Our platform is very slow. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the amount of sources we have linked to the platform, but if it goes slow for us, then I'd hate to see how it performs for a much larger company.

I will say it has gotten a little better lately, but it can still be excruciatingly slow at times. When it is going slow, I hate having do anything in it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be patient because it can be very slow. It is helpful because it incorporates so many different data sources and you can include a wide array of information into one nice looking report.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving our reporting issue. We had used Raven Tools before we switched over to BIME, and Raven Tools was always messing up. They would send the wrong report to various clients and it was a pain in the butt every month when reporting came around.

In Bime, we are able to create custom links that our customers can check whenever they would like.

Great For Online Data Analysis

What do you like best?

Best tool i've found so far for combining all online data sources (Google Analytics, Adwords, Doubleclick, Facebook, etc) with offline data sources (spreadsheets, databases). Interface is intuitive and easy to use.

What do you dislike?

Some functionality in joins could be more advanced, long calculations that should work are sometimes too complicated for the tool to process. Also have experienced issues with data pulling in inaccurately when the data sets get too large. Pulling in the exact same metrics in a pie chart vs a table format will sometimes yield different results with no explanation.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use BIME to deliver reports to clients on the performance of their media, social efforts, and website. Questions like "which campaigns are driving the most traffic?" and "what is our ROI across media channels?" can be answered easily with this tool.

Very awesome for analytics

What do you like best?

The cost of Bime is what makes it so great. Bime can do anything you want it to because everything is customizable. It has really helped us to obtain certain metrics that we could not get before, but at a price we can afford.

What do you dislike?

Getting used to the interface and how to work the engine. It took a little longer than anticipated, but once you learn how the engine works, it is fun to drive!

Recommendations to others considering the product

Get Bime!! Bime has really helped us to obtain the metrics and formulas we have been seeking. The dashboard and query interface is very handsome. The only problem with Bime is how long it takes to load data once you have built it out.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Having a robust analytics platform to view and manage our data beyond what salesforce can provide for us.

Growing pains

What do you like best?

Customization and robust. Bime is great for analytics and building executive level dashboards that pull in multiple sources. Bime is also the best solution for the cost. In the world of BI tools there are alot of overpriced tools. Bime is more than affordable, it is dirt cheap!

What do you dislike?

Experimenting. Bime takes alot of trial and error to master and perfect. The layers run deep which is a good thing, but it is frustrating at times. But necessary to be able to have full customization.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Bime is the most affordable for what you get. Microsoft Power BI is also very cheap, but Bime can do much more.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Having an executive level analytics platform that can reveal the truth about what we are accomplishing throughout the organization.

BIME finally delivers on the Cloud BI promise.

What do you like best?

-Lots of pre-built data source connectors that make it very easy to get your data into the tool. Also, apparently BIME will be adding one additional connector every week, so chances are whatever you are looking for will be there soon.

-Very powerful visualizations, and a nice and intuitive interface for building them.

-Ability to combine disparate data sources right on your queries, using standard SQL-style joins.

What do you dislike?

-The user management is a bit weak. Groups are supported but users can only belong to one group.

-The ability to combine data sources could be more robust (have more options beyond simple joins)

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure your data sources are included. Make use of the 2 week trial to build a proof of concept before buying.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am using BIME primarily to do the "last mile" reporting where I need to combine CRM data (SFDC) with static Excel data.
