Bizautomation

What do you like best?

We were able to drop Quickbooks and our CRM integration and move to a single database that handles all CRM functions, and exceeds by far QB capabilities on managing our company. The fact that we can now access a cloud environment and do our accounting, inventory control, CRM, vendor relations, billing, and even run the back-end of our eCommerce website made this package an easy choice for us. We reviewed software for months - Netsuite, Acumatica, Sage, Microsoft...while we could get them to do what we wanted (a few better than others), it would have come with enormous implementation costs and a cost to operate 2-3x over our budget. They are not aimed at a smaller yet growing company of less than 50 users. Bizautomation fits exactly what we need, it's priced excatly where we need it to be, and being that they are a smaller company you get direct access to developers and engineers to discuss your needs. That is unheard of with other packages.

What do you dislike?

The projects module could use some easier manipulation of adding time and expense for employee hours. This is not a show stopper for us.

I'd very much like to see integrated payroll and would pay accordingly for it. If not integrated, at least an integration to Paychex or similar.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Have time to invest in implementing. It is not difficult. Make sure you clean up your existing inventory / parts list. Spend the time going through your data to make the import clean. It is not difficult, but you will need to understand MS Excel and understand what you are looking at.

If you are going to use the eCommerce - select a template you like, and have ideas on how you want your site to look. They will work with you to accomplish it. Be careful in the ecommerce module - you can trash it easily if you are not careful. I would suggest copying all the code onto notepad before making edits in case you make a mistake.

It takes a little time to get used to, but once you do, you'll love it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cloud access - our accountants can now have access to our data without backing up and sending, or making "accountant copies".. Edits can be done in realtime.

Inventory is linked to the ecommerce site. Before Bizauto we used BigCommerce (which is a good product) but we had no good link between our accounting and Bigcommerce. There are connectors, but we end up with too many databases and too much room for error.

Our previous CRM system (which is also a good product) has a connector to Quickbooks that works marginally well, but has caused errors to our file that will take many hours to fix.

Quickbooks On-Premise Enterprise was at minimum what we needed. Quickbooks online would have not worked for us. We needed real cloud access, and all-in-one database. That is exactly what we got with bizautomation.

True Cloud ERP that is for SMB space

What do you like best?

I love that this solution is a true cloud, strong accounting, inventory controls, CRM and Ecommerce on one database! If you are growing out of Quickbooks and not ready for a NetSuite or Acumatica then this is the solution for the feature & functions for the price!

What do you dislike?

Reporting could be much better and I was told they are working on upgrading it. Not able to only use accounting solution and then add modules that are needed although for the price of the product you really can't go wrong.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Please, when considering this solution ensure you have a project manager and a min of 60+ days for implementation.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Removing multiple databases and versions of the truth with BA's true Cloud ERP. Most of my clients have an accounting solution, integrated with an inventory control, integrated with shipping etc. Or they will have NetSuite and that product is more that what they need both features and functions and for price. Those customers generally save $4k - $12K a yr from switching to BizAutomation.

Made-To-Measure

What do you like best?

BizAutomation is the Made-To-Measure Suit of the business suite world: not as expensive as full, from the ground up custom build, but bespoke enough to make you look like a million bucks. The software is flexible, and the company itself is responsive and devoted to its customers.

What do you dislike?

Some of the interface can be a bit sensitive and like many current products, may still be searching for the perfect blend of clean user interface and intuitive functionality.

Recommendations to others considering the product

BizAutomation caters to the bulk small business ERP needs, and is continuing to develop in order to serve its target market fully. Customization is possible and flexible, with the possible caveat that extremely unique feature sets may be beyond its scope. That said, it solidly fills its niche and the customer support and flexibility in terms of development for a product at this price point has been outstanding. Since we are still in implementation I will be able to provide more specific feedback after go-live, but so far it all looks great.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The challenge BizAutomation was brought in to address was a growing company with aging infrastructure engaged in several business lines. They provided a one-stop shop with the flexibility to build in functionality required for this unique business.

Comprehensive System for small to mid-sized businesses

What do you like best?

End to end solution that allows us to manage our business and customize the data we track and analyze

What do you dislike?

As with all systems implementation was a challenge. New training videos should be a significant improvement for new users

Recommendations to others considering the product

Have a good understanding of the business needs you are looking to find a solution for and a realistic timeline for implementation. Implementing a new system takes time and process. We took a good 6 months for users to get used to the new system and are still working out a few challenges that appeared during the process. The team at Biz, although small, has been very responsive to issues that have arisen during the process.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were able to customize the data we wanted to track in each area of our business. This will help us improve forecasting and product planning for years to come

Business software for regular people !

What do you like best?

1) The integration of solutions across multiple departments. 2) continuous improvement initiatives that make the product better all the time.3) how the modules are connected

What do you dislike?

I used to wish for more video tutorials to reference. Not any more - they've really increased the resources for video learning.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There is more than one way to skin a cat, and the team at Biz has shown me they have the experience to assist clients with test driving and validating credible and often improved alternatives to "the way we've always done it".

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Effective tracking of leads to sales.

Improved efficiency for order fulfillment activities.

Running our business on a single cloud suite was a good decision

What do you like best?

Well designed, full featured, and flexible. I like how we were able to configure all the record entry screens. In our case, we needed to custom design invoices and purchase orders, which our designer did for us.

What do you dislike?

Initially I worried that not going with one of the big name software companies would be risky, but given how much we saved, and the fact that NetSuite was sold off to Oracle convince me there's no guarantee any company you base your business on isn't subject to acquisition.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sales, marketing, order management, inventory, RMAs, financials, and commissions management.
