"Don't have much to compare it to, but it's pretty cool."

What do you like best?

I like that you can upload a .csv and update multiple users points at once.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that the users address aren't connected to Nitro. When pulling reports, it would be easier if they're address was included for fulfillment purposes.

Recommendations to others considering the product

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Bunchball solves the issue of manually updating users points and keeps a great record of what items were redeemed and user history. The benefits are that it saves time and keeps things organized.

"It's up to you"

What do you like best?

The storefront has been the smoothest widget out of all. We are distributing millions of points per month and there has been a near zero percent error rate in the transactional components associated with crediting, debiting or reporting on items fulfilled, points issued and points spent.

What do you dislike?

To draw an analogy, the technology offered is equivalent to the task of building a house and getting a toolbox with a hammer, wrench and screwdriver . Is it possible? Yes. It is turnkey? Far from it. Bunchball may or may not tell you that they are a provider of software, not a consultant. Therefore, do not rely on Bunchball to provide any specific advice or expertise. Realize now that what you do with the tools offered by Bunchball and the success you have in the process is entirely your vision, not theirs. Be very discerning in the sales process. Some of the capabilities were not entirely applicable. For example, the analytics component turned out to be very basic and in many cases not relevant to what we need. There aren't any real 'games' offered; You are mainly buying the ability to show Leaderboards and use trophies, badges and feeds to recognize achievement. Bunchball's product is a set of basic tools. You must design, support and build your own house. Everything that made this program a success was accomplished internally.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be prepared to pave your own path without much support from Bunchball on how to apply the tools they provide. Additionally, be prepared with internal web development, data infrastructure, reporting, analytics and product fulfillment solutions prior to signing a contract. Be aware of what the gamification concept is and how you wish to apply it; Be ready to devote extensive resources to web development and infrastructure to support the what your program internally; Be ready to creatively apply Bunchball's tools using a myriad of systemic limitations and work-arounds; Do not fully invest in annual licensing until you've cost justified it via a comprehensive pilot period.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The extent to which you benefit from Bunchball's gamification tools largely depends on your ability to persistently and iteratively create your own path. Over 9 months, we've figured out how to engage a workforce at fundamental levels to motivate sales performance, productivity, and increase job satisfaction.

"Bunchball!"

What do you like best?

Friendly competition and working towards an ultimate goal. It helps drive the behaviors that the execs want.

What do you dislike?

It's another software that the company has to pay for. Its not a necessity like salesforce or a work management tool.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Great tool for your sales team or clients to incentivize certain behaviors and reward accodingly.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

More motivated sales team that looks forward to seeing where they stand in comparison to others. We are trying to meet our sales goals based on certain trends we realized such as incrntivizing to sell add on services with each sale.

"Gamification Analyst"

What do you like best?

The site is easy to use and very user friendly

What do you dislike?

Some of the functionalities of the site have difficulty of use at times. Regression testing does not seem like it is commonly done, as when updates are released it commonly breaks other things.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Work closely with your IT team as you will likely need an internal website to host site widgets and components.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Increased employee engagement and employee performance

"Great experience with Bunchball"

What do you like best?

The folks at Bunchball are terrific. They're extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The control panel is very easy to use and allowed us to quickly and efficiently post challenges to our site and change existing ones. The APIs were very easy to use. We were able to customize as we needed.

What do you dislike?

We did have to do some code work-arounds to customize fully. We could have used a bit more flexibility in the console. But overall, we were very happy with our implementation.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The team at Bunchball is terrific. Be sure to compare not just the product, when looking at other companies, but the people you'll be working with. You'll definitely want to choose the Bunchball team. Also, be sure that you find a company that can scale with you. Plan for the long-term, not just what you need today.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were looking to increase engagement and registrations on the site. We were also looking to expose parts of our site that users don't often find. We achieved those goals.

"Bunchball Product Review"

What do you like best?

The user interface is easy to learn and understand. The capabilities the software make it easy to integrate into other software products we use. The company does a great job of supporting you in your efforts, and the education they provide to get the most out of the software is very good.

What do you dislike?

There are a lot of great features out of the box, but every company is going to need to customize things to some degree. Getting some things to work as you would like takes a bit more work that we expected.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are increasing customer engagement through the Bunchball gamification applications.

"A truly business partner not another vendor"

What do you like best?

APIs

Bunchball service (Support and professional services)

Integration with Jive

What do you dislike?

Persona Management model when you have a fragmented operation (many countries, subsidiaries, line of business). To have a persona view (all up) when they are participating in different environments is doable but labor intensive

Recommendations to others considering the product

Pay for the professional services, they are truly business partners looking to set you for success. not cheap but worth

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are looking to drive user engagement in our communities, get more user generated content, improve our content curation model and identify influencers/power users to recognize and reward them to keep our communities healthy

Very easy to use from a developer standpoint. The reporting and analytics are extremely helpful as well.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see better communication on product enhancements and bug fixes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We want to increase employee engagement in training. We have seen an increase in class participation as well as an increase in excitement with the introduction of our Gamification product.

"Great idea, but a tough sell."

What do you like best?

From a birds-eye view, the idea is spectacular- encourage consumer participation through "gamification," allowing users to gain points by performing preferred tasks.

What do you dislike?

They don't provide a viable option for consumer goods, with the exception of those requiring support forums. Overall, I'm yet to see it implemented in an effective way by typical analog brands.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This tool is best for operators of feedback forums (much like G2 crowd), where participation can make or break the business.
