As a tech-savvy insurance broker, entrepreneur and business consultant, I use, review, and audit dozens of "micro-saas" applications a year. Most work fine, but of limited utility or poor value. If I had to drop all but my top three, Calendly would be one of the apps I keep, and I'll tell you why:
Think back to the last time you needed to schedule a call / appointment / consultation. How many emails did that take? Did you have to renegotiate dates or times? Was it unclear where you were meeting? Did one or more of the parties have a conflict or not get the memo?
Calendly solves this problem quickly and elegantly. My staff has my personal calendar link so I don't even need an assistant to schedule things, I just see appointments pop up on my calendar. The app gives plenty of management options such as buffer time between meetings and notifications/reminders to participants.
I would say this app saves me at least an hour, if not more, per week in lost time due to scheduling issues...and probably even more hours in my overall life span by not having to stress out about this stuff. Highly recommended.
There's only one scheduling platform that bests Calendly, and that's Clara (the AI assistant) who is able to negotiate specific locations (such as "Clara, set up a coffee meeting with Mr. Jones on Tuesday") and subsequently figure the travel time from my office to that location to avoid double-booking.
However, this contingency is not worth the significant cost premium (plus Calendly completes a booking in about 8 seconds versus the several hour delay for Clara.)
