"Check Point MDP - Not Exactly Ideal"

What do you like best?

Only one agent and one management console; everything is consolidated. Encryption time was very quick compared to software used previously.

What do you dislike?

Management console extremely slow to navigate; software would often lock hard drives for no discernible reason. Getting a key to unlock the hard drive required knowing which user account the encryption took place under which was very difficult to find out in time-sensitive situations.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Would not recommend for mass deployments. Does not scale well in terms of performance and is a chore to administer. Support calls trying to unlock a PC's hard drive took upwards of 45 minutes to resolve.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were trying to obtain an encryption service that could be managed remotely. Upon further use of the product, it didn't satisfy our needs. No perceivable benefit was obtained.

"Useful product but frequent crashes "

What do you like best?

This is a required product used at one of my school sites, I can see the functionality of it but d/t frequent crashes I don't love it. We use it log clinicians into the school IEP system remotely which means we often have multiple people logging in at a time and when it crashes we are unable to complete IEP reports.

What do you dislike?

Frequent crashes make the product difficult to use when multiple staff members are attempting to log in at once.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

"Check Point MDP Usage"

What do you like best?

Mobile Data Protection products provides organizations with a full security solution that safeguards business information. These products emphasize security, a simple user experience, reliability, and a wide breadth of supported devices.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing I find about Check Point MDP I dislike.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It protects my system very well. Check Point continues to innovate with support for remote and mobile users and for analyzing files for malware in a separate (cloud-based) process that does not impact stream processing.
