"Definite Upgrade to the Current Email Landscape"

What do you like best?

The platform is very flexible. Allows for a lot of data to be linked and drive messages. We've been able to consistently add layers and layers of data while automated our messages.

What do you dislike?

At times the flexibility can be too much. There are many ways to achieve a desired goal and without guidance it is difficult to know which route is best for your data structure. One thing they definitely need to work on and have recognized is providing more "hand holding" with programs or customer solutions. Another thing missing at times are some basic analysis functions. There should be simpler and easier ways to access data and analyze messages, programs and series. They are working on this too, but have yet to release very many updates.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

A better more personalized message experience. We're a custom company and in that have millions of possible combinations and options. We're continually updating our experience to add new layers to our messages based on user behavior.

"The best ESP for Today's Digital Marketer and Developer"

What do you like best?

Cordial is a robust platform that really delivers when it comes to flexibility and performance. With its many audience targeting rules and segmentation features, machine learning technology (for content optimization experiments), contact list management, custom reporting & analytics, inbox placement tests, personalization features, and image hosting, you have all the tools you need to create a successful B2C email program. (I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting!)

What do you dislike?

The lack of a WYSIWYG editor initially created a steep learning curve for our lean marketing department. HTML/CSS proficiency is required as well as having a basic understanding of javascript/JSON. Over time, we learned and adapted, and it was no longer a problem. Fortunately, Cordial his releasing a sculpt editor this year!

Educated yourself on the product. You are your only limiting factor.

"Great features, outstanding customer support."

What do you like best?

Cordial has a complete feature set to make our email campaigns really shine. They are currently helping us with inbox placement and we have begun to see improvements on that front in a short period of time. Most of all, their customer support is top notch. Any questions that we've had have been handled in a quick and efficient manner.

What do you dislike?

Nothing yet! We have been pleased with everything from implementation to our current efforts of improving email inbox placement.

If you are looking for an easy to implement and manage, full featured email service provider, give Cordial a shot.

Email delivery to inbox rather than spam. Abandoned cart sequence. Working getting more aggressive with email marketing via browse and view abandonment.

"Great Backend - Awesome Support"

What do you like best?

Cordial API is robust and complete, allowing for custom solutions and quick implementation.

Our dedicated support team is always available and takes the time and effort to listen to our needs.

What do you dislike?

Admin UI is a little unpolished, although has gotten better over the last year.

Recommendations to others considering the product

You might need some development resources to utilize all the features, but support is great. Shopify App will work for most businesses (we had to make custom solutions).

"Cordial is as advertised"

What do you like best?

The integration of customer data and the ability to use that to market within our email blasts. The many options for which we have to integrate. The testing tools and the documentation on how to integrate.

What do you dislike?

So far i have no complaints. We have been able to perform all tasks for which we set out to complete.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to streamline our marketing emails much easier. We now have the ability to market based off of customer interaction with our website. Cordial has opened our eyes to our deliverability issues and given us a path to improve our reputation.

"Great up and coming platform"

What do you like best?

Cordial’s overall ease of use has really impressed me after using another enterprise platform for several years. It did not take me long to get our email campaigns sending again during our transition period and I never feel like I am drowning in views or set up screens. What used to takes 4 screens of options and a few deep platform settings changes is usually done with few clicks.

Filtering the audiences for sends is easy and intuitive. New features and tweaks are added almost monthly but never really disrupt the overall flow of the UI.

*Best Feature -> Their staff is incredibly helpful and responsive to email and help tickets. This is so critical when dealing with marketing deadlines. You won't wait hours and hours for replies.

What do you dislike?

Would be nice to have the option to export more of email performance and audience trends as a CSV versus an image.

Filtering audiences based on the non-subscriber data is still in the works. Have had to work around this for some sends.

Dynamic content and a/b testing body content requires scripting and may not be easy for end-user types. and you will have to take a deep dive on the how your product/site/subscriber data is stored before you send more sofiticated emails. (I am sure this is case for most ecommerce related applications)

Would be nice to see a few more options for out of the box intergrations with other marketing software.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would take the extra time to build out the product/order data that feeds into Cordial. This will make your life easier down the road and you will have more options when filtering your audiences and creating more personalised messaging.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to send cart, browse abandonment and triggered/retargeted emails has shifted the whole focus of our email program. These are great sales closing tools and we have seen these emails, direct on-the-fence customers, to reach out to our customer service team.

"Ease of use with email drag and drop functionality"

What do you like best?

The Sculpt feature that allows you to customize a block of HTML to reuse on any email.

What do you dislike?

For me writing the smarty code is the hardest or most disliked part.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you have a good digital marketer in place that understands how to take advantage of all the features Coridal has. It would be beneficial if the main user of the product has HTML experience.

First and foremost the time it takes to create an email has been shortened a great deal. It took work to create all of the sculpt blocks but now that those are done creating an email is very fast.

Testing/Experperiment needs to have it own interface and not involved having to put additional code into the html.

"Building a strong email program together"

What do you like best?

Cordial's Collaboration with the platform and our program is something we are extremely pleased about. We know that with Cordial, our thoughts are being taken into consideration and are often implemented and they are such a great team to work with. Even more than collaboration, we're very excited that we're able to create such robust personalized emails and modules for our program.

What do you dislike?

Bugs & data issues are pesty and can often effect efficiency and workflow.

Keep developing and onboarding new things as we're always excited to try them out and present feedback!

"Cordial's client experience team lives and breathes the company's main value."

What do you like best?

When you work with Cordial's team, you know that you are in good hands. Cordial has been an integral part of our ESP migration. Without them, the entire experience wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did.

What do you dislike?

Cordial's ESP tool doesn't allow for audience list splits by percentages and capping.

"Very Responsive and Helpful"

What do you like best?

Cordial has great customer service. They are extremely responsive and have really helped us integrate our systems.

What do you dislike?

There were some difficulties getting integrated with Shopify but the tech team at Cordial has really helped us get things connected and working.

We really want to target our customers and segment them and we are able to do that with Cordial. They have powerful tools for targeting and automation.

"Easy to use "

What do you like best?

Personally, my favorite part of Cordial is the ease of use. Teaching fellow employees how to operate is a breeze. Solves every problem that ESPs create.

What do you dislike?

Currently, I haven’t experienced any downsides with the product.
