"Easy to support for the smaller IT department"

What do you like best?

PCC is cloud-based so I only need to keep the endpoints and internet up. It works with any device and virtually any browser. There are mobile apps as well. We can create power users that can do the account creation and maintenance. That takes a good load off of our IT department.

What do you dislike?

When there is slowness, support likes to use the excuse of "internet log-jam." I'm not saying it doesn't happen but they love that reason. Having good monitoring of your internet connection will help with this reason. Integration with Nurse Rosie tablets for vitals is on a set time interval. Maybe it has to be this way but I (and the clinical staff) wish it was a little faster.

You'll quickly realize the benefits of PCC. Make sure you have good monitoring of your internet connection to diagnose speed issues.

We were wanting to be able complete MDS submissions more often to increase our reimbursement. The product quickly paid for itself.

"Point Click Care is Easy to use"

What do you like best?

It is easy to find patients and chart what I need on them. Tabs can also be modified and added so that you know who is making notes. The tabs make it easy to find a series of notes such as all the ones completed by respiratory.

What do you dislike?

It might be wishful thinking but I wish it would learn patient trends and maybe suggest items when we are setting up a patient to speed up the process. Like if we have a CHF patient pop up the meds with dosage so we can click it instead of entering them.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It streamlines everyone and we all chart on the same platform in the same way. Also our contractors can get in and access it too which is nice. We also really appreciate no longer having the paper files. It gets rid of the clutter and makes information easier to gather more quickly.

"Point Click Care in Long Term Care Facility"

What do you like best?

What I like best about this program is the ease of use and it's a wonderful program that can be easily learned, especially when transitioning from paper charts to electronic ones. It also allows for multiple types of users and can be customized to a specific specialty.

What do you dislike?

What I dislike about this program is that it seems to take up a lot of room on the computers it's being used on, it's crashed a couple of times on me, but it might be due to the facility's actual servers and not the program itself.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you thoroughly train all staff members on how the program works. This may take some time as there are various types of learners.

Less paper work! It's absolutely the best and it's easily customizable for your facility. Benefits I have realized include saving both time and money. It's easy to locate everything on a screen vs paper charting.

"Very well designed platform"

What do you like best?

PCC is always working on upgrades and improving the overall system. I like the general layout, and feel it is pretty user friendly.

What do you dislike?

some items that could be easily integrated are not- such as being able to review items from within an assessment without going out of said assessment

Recommendations to others considering the product

Continue to work on smooth transitions. I think the orders portion is lacking, it is confusing and doesn't show everything in a rational fashion. It does not have an option for ancillary service orders, either.

Overall, staying competitive in a very competitive market of LTC, helping companies remain in compliance with the ever changing healthcare laws

"Quick and easy "

What do you like best?

All charting can be completed in a more efficient timely manner. I work with multiple residents and can quickly document and search for information on the system with a click of a button.

What do you dislike?

I have worked with this system for about 4 years now and there still seems to be glitches in connection and performance, but this could also be our Wi-Fi provider due to being overwhelmed by the amount of staff using the same program at the same time.

"Charting completed with just a click"

What do you like best?

Templates for forms can be created by corporate office so documentation can be done in just a click of a button to increase time management for nursing care.

What do you dislike?

Although not directly related to the program, there can be a lot of spelling errors on set forms due to lack of spell checking when forms are created.

Time management of documentation between hands on nursing care. Ease of MAR/TAR mobility, viewing and documentation.

"Lots of kinks that need to be worked out "

What do you like best?

Simple, modern interface, fairly easy to learn/use, and patient profiles organize information very well.

What do you dislike?

Lacks some “common sense” that comparable softwares have. Does not anticipate billers’ needs as well as it could. Needs to get in touch with it’s users.

Streamlines some of my billing. Mostly satisfied with how patient information is organized and accessed.

"User friendly; intuitive"

What do you like best?

I’ve used 5-6 EHR systems in my 10 years of Nursing. PCC is one of my favorites! It’s really easy to navigate and find the data that you need for patient care. I didn’t even need an orientation and was flying through the tabs in minutes.

What do you dislike?

It’s really got a lot of great perks! I can’t think anywhere that needs improving.

We use the Core EHR Platform to research patient information and gather data from their charts for quality assurance purposes. It’s a fantastic place to chart and gather info for Nursing home residents.

"Great System"

What do you like best?

It is the easiest EMR I've used, I could figure out how to use it without a manual or being shown too much.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the reports are hard to understand what they do.

"PCC in Skilled Nursing Facilities"

What do you like best?

The functionality in the facilities is amazing. It works very well.

What do you dislike?

I hate the reports! The trending and "roll up" of a report is very hard to achieve in PCC.

Integration between ancillary services and skilled nursing facility clinical records in PCC integrate seamlessly.

"Best tool for charting!"

What do you like best?

Setup is easy and informative. Their helpdesk is 24/7 and usually is pretty quick on response time.

What do you dislike?

Their seems like there is quite a bit of outages when we first started with the product. Since then it has gotten better
