Insanely powerful technology behind a 1998-style interface

What do you like best?

PeopleImport does what Salesforce eliminated from Data Import Wizard in the 2016 Winter Release: the ability to upload lists of Leads and Contacts and bucket them together into a Campaign, all in one fell swoop. But it goes beyond those Salesforce basics to do advanced functions where you can choose the Salesforce fields to update, ignore, or even merge, and provides advanced matching functions, like matching to nicknames, fuzzy match, and even AUDIBLE match where words/names that sounds similar will match. It allows you to Alpha clean data also in one fell swoop, ignore rows...WOW. It is very powerful. You can even fix errors in a Review stage before the final upload (at least to a small degree).

What do you dislike?

The interface looks incredibly dated - and there are many buttons to click and choose from, many that do exactly the same thing but are just repeated on the various screens. Clunky is the best word for it - or like those children's toys that have a ton of levers and buttons and some of them produce sounds and lights, different buttons and levers oddly product the same sounds and lights, and some buttons don't do anything discernible. There are many steps and the end goal can be accomplished in several ways. Often you're not even sure what you're looking at when you're looking at the Match Results and what the tool is telling you you're about to. Error log files are not usable as is - they're not fixable in Excel and then re-importable. The tool exports a bunch of code that is mostly unusable, so it's best to fix errors as you Review them in the tool. It's not a tool you can jump into and just figure out - you have to watch their YouTube videos, the only form of documentation available. The videos do not cover all the use cases you may have...so you have to just guess or reach out to the company and I've found their help personnel to be inadequate. You can't purchase the software without having to email or talk to a rep, you are invoiced with an invoice you have to print out...unbelievable in the world of today...but perhaps just fine for 1998.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be prepared for a steep learning curve in the software, and multiple failed imports if your data is ever-so-slightly not in the right format as your Salesforce instance. Be prepared for time spent in parsing through Error logs to try to figure out what went wrong with your imports, and eventually just throwing large logs away since they're too large to try and sift through. Be prepared for a painful old-school purchasing process, minimal support - and a clunky interface that takes time to wade through. (Hint: Save your Scenarios and field Mappings to expedite crawling through the PeopleImport interface!)

What do you like best?

We don't have to rely so heavily on Excel. We can import and match records across multiple objects, including Person Accounts for optimal data quality and almost no duplicate inserts.

Checking errors prior to import is awesome - saves time on the back end.

The pre-import results are super helpful. A lot of times our marketing team wants to know how many records already exist in Salesforce from a purchased list without actually having to insert them. The pre-import data file is an easy way to show them, that includes the matching criteria.

What do you dislike?

This product doesn't fully support Person Accounts and we run into some issues around this. The company field on leads isn't required in Salesforce, but IS required for PI. This results in us having to input "N/A" where the company isn't provided to us - this isn't ideal.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Remove validation and requirements on import. Provide a newer UI that doesn't look so dated. A cloud based version of this would be awesome - not having to install software and being able to access this from any computer would be very helpful!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Field Lead Processing - mass importing thousands of leads sent in by our field staff. We can perform multiple steps in one import using PeopleImport. The add to campaign feature is a life saver!

Easily create new records without worrying about duplicates!

What do you like best?

We often introduce a lot of new records into our CRM system, Salesforce.com, be it prospects from an event or purchased lists and PeopleImport allows me to import them into our CRM system seamlessly and without having to worry about creating duplicates! Since it is very well integrated with Salesforce.com, it is also quite flexible for me to create scenarios or make use of existing ones as i see fit.

What do you dislike?

PeopleImport pulls ALL fields from our CRM system: standard fields, custom fields, archived fields and sometimes it can get easily confusing to figure out the active fields that need to be used. If there is a way to only pull active fields, I would definitely want to know.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Rely on PeopleImport to readily make new records available to your sales force and start generating opportunities immediately!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

PeopleImport allows me to easily import new records, no matter the size, into Salesforce.com without worrying that I might be creating duplicate records that I will have to work on cleansing/deduping later on.

CRMFusion - PeopleImport Rocks!

What do you like best?

My knowledge and experience with the CRMFusion's DemandTools product is completely leveraged with PeopleImport -- instantly productive.

The most powerful & flexible duplicate identifier and processor that exists. Period.

What do you dislike?

I wish that PeopleImport were not a separate desktop application -- why isn't it integrated with DemandTools?

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is the best product in the category, hands down. Has been for the 8-years I've been working in the Salesforce 'Eco-System'.

They've got the training, the support people & the products.

If you're serious about data quality (and your really have to be these days, don't you?) then get to know the folks at CRMFusion.

I've known them for as long as I've been doing Salesforce and I'm glad I do.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I'm a Salesforce consultant and my clients want to be able to import lists into Salesforce without creating duplicates. PeopleImport does this better than any other product.

My clients are now confident that their Salesforce system is duplicate free.

. . . and it doesn't take a lot of time (cost much $$$) to get the work done.

PeopleImport is easy to use and saves time!

What do you like best?

The fact I can check against existing records and load data at the same time. No need for multiple steps.

What do you dislike?

The final display grid can be a little tough to view when scanning a large amount of records.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This solves so many issues that would normally take multiple tools or manual updates. It is in a good price range and easy to start using. Same day purchase and use No set up

Quicker to load data, with less steps and no duplicates!

Best De-Duping tool i've used

What do you like best?

I've used CRMfusion at 3 different companies and will be recommending them at my current company as soon as our current contract expires with another vendor. CRMfusion is very simple to use and works pretty much flawlessly.

What do you dislike?

I haven't found anything that i dislike very much. The pricing is right and the are very helpful.
