"Great tool to identify quality companies to prospect "

What do you like best?

When building out my new territory I used datanyze to quickly view company details and Alexa rank. I work for a web performance company and the busier the websites are the better the target for me.

What do you dislike?

Not much. I really don't have a bad thing to say about this tool.

If you're new in a territory and need to a quick hitter to identify good companies you need datanyze in your toolset!

Save me a lot of time while going through my new territory. Very effective tool for quickly identifying company details.

"Datanyze changed the game"

What do you like best?

I love the ability to target companies that are in an ideal position to evaluate our services. The datanyze dashboard and plugin makes that a breeze. The data collected from the websites regarding any current and past used technology, as well as dates for changes, is highly accurate.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the prospect data accuracy is a bit iffy, and the integration with LinkedIn is not perfect. When I pull leads in to SFDC often times I need to append the info (such as phone & email) with another data source. It would be nice if the data set in datanyze was more complete, or integrated with another data provider.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Have a secondary source of Data. While Datanyze is a fantastic tool, the data provided isn't always complete, so it has helped me get more out of the tool to be able to cross reference another source.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have been able to create strategically targeted lists of ideal accounts to target based on the information I have found with datanyze, and pulling them into my CRM was simple. It takes minimal effort to learn and see results with this tool, and I've still only scratched the surface of what it is capable of. I will be recommending Datanyze to any sales professional.

"Effective tool for finding leads/accounts for prospecting, as well as companies marketing stack"

What do you like best?

Ease of use, technologies, good data. It really allows us to focus on the prospecting instead of spending our time researching new contacts and accounts. Easy integrations with Salesforce allows us to move the contacts where we need them easily.

What do you dislike?

Shortcomings include not being able to granularly dive into territory sizes and company sizes to the level that I would like. We've worked extensively with their customer success team, and they've helped us to build out new functionality, so it's likely only a matter of time.

Very helpful customer success team that will be able to walk you through any questions and pains you may have during the implementation.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Trying to better our leads and accounts by incorporating granular details about location, company size, technologies utilizes and prospects at these companies. We've seen clearer conversations and better means of prospecting due to more personalized outreach, as well we've been able to prospect accounts that are better fits for our product. This makes our job easier and saves time/money from wasting time on less than ideal companies.

"Good data, pretty slick tool, room for improvement. "

What do you like best?

The ability to see what technology companies are using along with when they started or stopped using it is very valuable.

Their email finding tool is pretty good, and does ok on accuracy. For an automated tool it does very well.

What do you dislike?

You only get charged for each email you pull, and they refund credits if they email bounces, but the only way to report a bounced email is to manually click the flag on each prospect and type out the reason why you are reporting. That takes WAY TOO long for a list of any good size.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try it out. The reps and support guys are great to work with. And you can see quite quickly if the data and emails you are getting work for your process.

You also need a way to make sure you are not duplicating your leads. If you have several people going after the same markets, you could easily duplicate leads in SF. Datanyze does a good job showing you if you have already imported someone, but it is a little harder to see if a lead is part of multiple lists.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Datanyze lets us find leads which would be interested in our solution because of the technology they use. For example if we integrate with Google Docs, we can find companies using Google Docs and we can craft a message to provide them the most value. It helps create warmer leads.

"Very useful for email mining!"

What do you like best?

The accuracy of most emails and the connection with LinkedIn

What do you dislike?

I don't know the exact pricing but the free version is not enough (10 credits) and I believe I'm on the lowest tier (1,000 credits) but I use it everyday and use only about 200 credits/m. Need a middle-ground

"Good idea - difficult to navigate"

What do you like best?

I like that it helps to find email addresses especially when I haven't been able to figure it out based on other email addresses.

What do you dislike?

It isn't perfect - and it doesn't always find the correct email address. It isn't always easy to navigate.

Because it's difficult to navigate and I don't want to take the time to learn, I've only used Datanyze to help me find email addresses.

What do you like best?

I really like the amount of data Datanyze has to offer regarding technologies used by various websites and companies. It can be a great starting point for research on different industries. I also like Datanyze's list building tool for creating contact lists from their data.

What do you dislike?

Navigating Datanyze can be a little tricky. I get the feeling there is a lot of unused information on the site that I haven't accessed because I don't know how.

Email addresses collected through Datanyze can be hit or miss. I wish they could find a way to improve their accuracy.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Datanyze can be a great tool for either preliminary research or last ditch lead generation. It's not strong enough of a tool to rely on too heavily yet.

"Datanyze combines the best of multiple tools and wraps into one"

What do you like best?

The tech targeting - if I am following sites that use AWS then I can present an add on tool like cost management

Prospecting - the chrome extension is clean, fast and easy to pull the right data at the right time

Company research - this is key to personalize your outreach by always being aware of news or funding or product releases

What do you dislike?

Cost is a little bit higher than I would have anticipated. I think having a lower tier to prove ROI would be useful.

Single source for a variety of tools you already use. So make sure you are judging what the platform can replace with other SaaS products you are paying for (or individual reps are expensing).

"Automates our lead generation "

What do you like best?

The ability to automate the tasks that we were manually doing to find out what our target market was using for their ecommerce technology.I actually contacted Datanzye for a specific code snippet the crawlers would look for when they are scanning websites and they were able to build that into their suite. It really helped our team to develop leads and find out who was using our competitors. Great group on the team that were willing to work with us.

What do you dislike?

I used the software right when it launched so it didn't have all the bells and whistles it has now. The Chrome plugin wasn't that great at the time, but I believe they have improved it alot. It would have been super useful to use right int he browser when looking at a website. Also, at the time the website was still very new and the dashboard wasn't that user friendly. They improved it as we were still using the software.

If you have a specific thing you look for on websites, try to contact them to include into their crawling system. They were very helpful to our team to build out a customization.

We have used Datanzye for lead generation in the past and it worked really well. We were lacking on leads and it really helped fuel our pipeline. I would reccomend this to anyone looking to fill their top of the pipeline with qualified leads.

"Datanyze is a valuable resource for my sales team"

What do you like best?

My sales team is able to do "smart" sourcing by hand-picking which leads will be best before ever picking up the phone. What I love best is:

1. Integration with SFDC

2. Ability to segment by zip code (since we're territory based)

3. Add/drop dates

4. Good coverage of different technologies

What do you dislike?

Folks who abuse Datanyze by spamming our customers and prospective customers. I would also like to see them expand to other areas of intelligence (for example: folks who spend money on Adwords, like what KeyWordSpy measures).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're sourcing leads that have a better likelihood to buy, we're working correct leads, and better keeping track of deals we've lost for possible win-backs.

"Great tool to use for Sales."

What do you like best?

-I liked the Datanyze logo widget that appeared to the right-hand side of an individual's profile as it meant you could find email addresses quickly and without having to add them to a list, but you've now got rid of this button. It would be good to get it back.

What do you like best?

The number of criteria available to filter prospective companies in target reports.

What do you dislike?

The removal of the Datanyze button next to a contact's name on LI, which started the email address search.

The fact that most company phone numbers are American, regardless of HQ location.

What do you like best?

I liked the LinkedIn Datanyze button email finder.

Email finder is still one of the best aspects of Datanyze.

What do you dislike?

No more LinkedIn integration (one click-button)

Email inaccuracy (on occasions)

I am able to reach out to prospects via email a lot quicker as a result of Datanyze, therefore increasing my chances of generating leads.

"Sales rep using Datanyze"

What do you like best?

I like that it integrates with SFDC and tells me within SFDC what software is used on any prospect's site, including when it was added or dropped. I also like receiving an email when new technology is installed.

What do you dislike?

there is a lot that I just don't know it, like how to build lead lists based on when competitive contracts expire

"Datanyze gets more than your foot in the door!"

What do you like best?

Datanyze is a fantastic tool to use if you're actively prospecting a person and/or company. You have the ability to glean personal information, corporate news, funding, etc., from one location. Everything is designed to make your job more efficient and give you all the information you need to make a cold call piping hot.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes I don't trust some of the systems that Datanyze claims a company uses. You need to be careful with making assumptions.

What do you like best?

Helps in collecting critical data for prospecting, has been the catalyst for a lot of deals at Fastly. Saves time and is critical to how we do our job.

What do you dislike?

Inaccurate data. The Alexa ranking system for websites - would prefer Quantcast or some other way to quantify how much traffic a given website is getting relative to the rest of the internet.

Data gathering, technical analysis of a website. Benefits include; figuring out which companies to reach out to faster, finding companies to reach out to, doing my due diligence on a prospect or customer.

"Very happy with Datanyze "

What do you like best?

I love how fast they push website tech enrichment data in SFDC, they are super easy to work with, very responsive and smart, and I like that you can do outbound sourcing by using list criteria like (not in our sfdc) and prioritize the domains based on a predictive score.

What do you dislike?

Nothing! They really are awesome and we are very happy with our service.

We are able to send email notifications to reps when certain tech is added or dropped, trigger lead rerotation rules to surface leads gone cold, send targeted email to folks using certain software that is more relevant.

What do you like best?

Just being able to see what technologies a prospect uses is already powerful. Then to receive notifications about when prospects added or dropped a competitive product is even more powerful. It simply allows us to reach the right prospects at the right time.

What do you dislike?

The leads come without phone numbers. And I guess the UI could use some improvement but it gets the job done nicely.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Datanyze is a great service. But the prospects / leads they uncover don't come with phone numbers so you'd have to get another vendor to take care of that or do it yourself.

Simply put it helps us fill our Salesforce with leads relevant to what we're doing. We just started up our sales team from scratch and with the help of Datanyze were able to fill our funnel with hundreds of qualified prospects.

"Datanyze changes the Lead Generation game"

What do you like best?

Datanyze allowed our lead generation efforts to be scalable and effective by providing actionable and up to date information on companies and contacts that were a good fit for our product. I love being able to pull a list of companies that are using a competitor's solution and reach out with targeted messaging. I was also able to sync data with Salesforce such as Address, Alexa Rank, Revenue, and Industry. This data was then used for Lead Routing and Scoring.

What do you dislike?

Datanyze is geared for a very specific market, and is less actionable for companies that are not based around pixel technology. That being said, Datanyze does still provide value for general lead generation and data population. Datanyze is great at working product feedback into their roadmap and are constantly coming out with new features.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Solving for data quality. Previously used Data.com, we found that the data was typically not accurate whereas Datanyze is constantly updating and pulling from social media which tends to be most updated.

Lead Generation. Datanyze helped us create thousands of high quality leads to pump to our SDR team.

"Fantastic for multiple aspects of our business. "

What do you like best?

The email finder, use for market sizing, determining current prospects, understanding churn risks, understanding correlations in the adding and dropping of code, and ease of use.

What do you dislike?

Some of the data can be a bit inaccurate such as vertical for some of the sites, but when pointed out this is fixed very quickly. Also no page view data besides Alexa rank.

Leverage all the trainings that they will offer, and make sure to drive top down adoption with executive adoption coming from understanding the market sizing potentials, and how to use the product to predict churn.

We are using this in most aspects on the business side such as finding potential prospects, using the email finder to identify contact information, all the way through using the information to predict churn.

"Datanyze focused our outbound selling strategy."

What do you like best?

The daily updates of changes to technology. This allows us to track when contract events occur around certain technology segments. Pulling this information into an external database and combining with other sales intelligence has proved invaluable in identifying our prospective "best fit".

The contact information has limitations, but the accuracy is in line with other contact suppliers.

Think beyond the data from Datanyze - figure out how you can use it in conjunction with other sources to build a macro-view of your prospects.

Our sales org needed a way to determine which companies would be the best fit for our product. Using Datanyze we were able to build a profile of our targeted accounts and a piece of that profile included which technologies companies currently used.

What do you like best?

The system is very user friendly. The support team is willing to go above and beyond what is necessary to help leverage the system.

Identifying our competition in a crowded marketplace has been key to scaling the company initiatives.

Our account manager, Lindsay, is very knowledgeable and has been a great resource throughout our ongoing relationship. She is very technically smart

What do you dislike?

Some elements of the technology are buggy, and have to be resolved. There are limitations to the crawlers capabilities, and I often find it to assume to quickly a user has disabled or enabled a competitor

You have to use the software 100% to realize its capabilities. Additionally, you have to really deep dive into what it is capable of and work with your account manager to leverage this. The datanyze program is a pliable tool and can be used across multiple industries.

Lead Generation and Key Man identification. Create target lists based on competition to identify and focus. We are able to identify new entrants to our space or existing competition's adaptation to what we currently are doing.

"Technology that opens the door to new customer success and acquisition strategies."

What do you like best?

Datanyze allows our sales management team to build more granular customer acquisition strategies. Being able to monitor add/drops of competing technology, along with the ability to target complimentary tools, we've been able to refine our outbound marketing process which has resulted in a steady increase in our conversion rate.

Aside from the capabilities granted to our sales team, the Datanyze support team has been outstanding with the integration and training help they've provided. Salesforce integration was effortless and seamlessly executed as to not disrupt our team.

What do you dislike?

The platform is a little rough around the edges, but in very minor ways. For example I'd appreciate the capabilities associated with editing existing list titles and reports, without the need to create a new one. Separately, Datanyze does not currently integrate with any outbound marketing platforms. I believe this is something they're currently working on, but this is something high on the ShareRoot priority list when speaking with Datanyze.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I highly recommend the integration of Datanyze with Salesforce (if you use it). You'll have to upgrade your account to include Salesforce API access, if it isn't included in your current subscription, but the benefits are incredible.

Even with the basic Salesforce integration we have, Datanyze tracks any companies currently being prospected by our team to avoid overlap in their system, and will update the technology information associated with those leads/accounts in Salesforce in real time.

"A Must-Have for every Sales Development Professional"

What do you like best?

Datanyze Insider has significantly consolidated my prospecting approach. The data I can quickly find around current tools a prospect is using as well as quick access to relevant 3rd-party sites (like CrunchBase) allows me to build a bio a lot quicker than traditional methods.

What do you dislike?

Selfishly, I would like to gain access to the paid features of Datanyze; with regards to Datanyze Insider, there is nothing I would change.

What do you like best?

Datanyze really helps me get the most information possible about a prospect, up to, and including getting their email address so I can send them as personalized a message as possible. Love the integration with Salesforce and LinkedIn!

With a mail merge tool, you can automate the sales outreach process, doing what would normally take 10 sales people with 1 person.

The best feature is "tags" and the ability to import any CSV of websites to cross reference things like your CRM database. Additionally, their browser plug-in helps you import contact information and company information directly to your CRM seamlessly.

For the price, you won't find something that can be used in more creative ways for as many users. If I'm starting a sales org, Datanyze would be the first thing I implement. The earlier you use it, the more benefit you'll realize from it because it can be a main source of company and lead generation.

"Datanyze has been invaluable in saving time on building lead lists"

What do you like best?

Datanyze significantly cut down the front loaded work to build our lead lists. It was refreshing to refer to one, unified data source instead of stitching together a mish-mash tools and services.

What do you dislike?

Pricing was steep to where it took significant buy-in from others on my team. I wouldn't suggest the tool to companies who are too early stage.

Keeping the top of our sales funnel filled with leads that have been qualified with real data. This enables our dedicated sales lead to stay on the phones and do what he does best. Close deals.

"Datanyze Review"

What do you like best?

UI - the product is super simple to use. My entire sales organization relies heavily on the insight the Datanyze provides, and we didn't need to spend time on training. As soon as we got this tool, it was adopted. Now we can't live without it.

Team - The Datanyze team is the most responsive team I have ever worked with. They are always looking for ways to improve their product.

What do you dislike?

This is a hard one for me to answer. I really don't think there is anything I don't like. Life before Datanyze is hard to imagine - this tool really is that powerful.

"Game changing."

What do you like best?

I work in the sales consulting space and this product has revolutionized not only my clients prospecting, but is alos invaluable for my own research. Being able to see what technology is in use in companies has dramatically increased the per rep productivity with my clients including landing a 6 figure deal.

This product is a game changer for any company that wants to flank their competition.

What do you dislike?

The database on PEOPLE associated with a company is a little bit weak, with many companies not having any people listed. They do have a Chrome plugin for Linkedin does a pretty good job of augmenting this. I can only imagine that this is something that they are probably augmenting as time goes on.

Try out the freemium product to make sure that it is fit for your business before buying the full product. The insight into technology is very helpful if that's relevant to your business, but if it's not there are options that are more affordable.

"Top Product for All Salespeople"

What do you like best?

Datanyze is the best product on the market for identifying your Ideal Customer Profile and then drilling in to find them in bulk.

What do you dislike?

That it's not free! Although they do give you some credits. It could price some people out of the market but it's really worth it.

It solves the crucial problems at the top of the funnel and allows you to be more granular when building targeted lists. This allows you to do less qualifying later on.

"I use Datanyze religiously"

What do you like best?

As a Sales Ops professional, I need to provide the right technology data to the Sales team I serve. I thoroughly vetted them against the provider we previously used for domain intelligence. Datanyze clearly had more domains identified for the providers we were searching. The interface is user-friendly as well - both for my team of Analysts and for the Sales team as well.

What do you dislike?

In the past we've only relied on them for domain research, but I'm looking forward to giving their lead intelligence another try since they've made improvements in this area.

We depend on Datanyze to tell us what technologies various domains are using. They're hands-down the best I've found at that.

"Datanyze Review (April , 2015)"

What do you like best?

The latest browser extension Insider has a lot of valuable features, that I personally consider game-changing for sales reps. However, to pin-point a single feature, I take my hat off to the "Email Finder" which allows you to highlight anyone's name on a given website and find that user's email without leaving the page. This is an SDRs dream come true as Inside Sales teams can now wave goodbye to verify-email tools such as Email-Checker and MailTester to name a few.

What do you dislike?

The UI is compact and full of functionality. The latest browser extension could benefit from an optional magnification UI which amplifies the display and offers additional features not present at the browser level.

Insider has been pivotal to the success of our Sales team. Many of my colleagues reach out to prospective customers in the US Mid-Market. We've found that within B2C sub-verticals, marketing budget is extremely volatile and susceptible to seasonality. Moreover, prospects are increasingly inundated with new product offerings so it is fundamental our outreach is strategic.

In addition to the Email Finder, Datanyze Insider consolidates, what I describe as, 'outreach criteria' through the following features:

- Insider icon - reveals company revenue, employee count and Alexa traffic rank

- Links to social media profiles

- And of course, a full list of technologies the website is using to keep an eye on competition

"Good product overall"

What do you like best?

I like the data. It really helps to know what technologies are being utilized by other companies. The extension is also helpful.

What do you dislike?

The application is very very far from being perfect, though I acknowledge this is a work in progress. Mind the data coherency and the GUI which isn't top notch.

"One stop shop for prospecting"

What do you like best?

Datanyze fits perfectly into my workflow for prospecting. I can easily find the information I need, populate Salesforce and easily start my emails

What do you dislike?

Not much to dislike. They can do a better job to work with other email tools to help streamline my process.

The lack of emails validity. Also you can't search within a tag. Like I would like to search, retail, within the current customer tag.

"Almost getting what expected"

What do you like best?

Ability to search based on tech, find relevant people and find email addresses - all the prospecting process in one place...

What do you dislike?

Only works like half 50% of the time:

- Tech search is inaccurate, results also include redirected URLs (which is stupid)

- LinkedIn search not working well (e.g. if brand name and company name is not the same, it should search for both)

- Email finder is somewhat fine but LinkedIn search messes it up: I start with a URL, then go to LinkedIn, add person to prospecting list and end up with a completely different URL for that person. Impossible to keep records in check this way.

Make sure that your sales dev process is aligned with what Datanyze can provide. Unfortunately they don't give a free trial for targeting, but ask for specifically your needs during the demo.

Got a bunch of URLs and use that to find prospects into accounts. Really good for generating qualified leads if you've got a process that fits into Datanyze's logic.

"Great if you are targeting many industries "

What do you like best?

This product had a plethora of info. However, my company targets retail specifically, and for that we preferred etail insights. Also, finding contact info was difficult.

What do you dislike?

Finding contact info was difficult. Finding a valid email was difficult.

i would rec to companies that are not targeting industry specific prospects. A lot of info which is good. Not necessarily good for companies that are going after particular data.

"Great tool for finding technologies"

What do you like best?

Provides comprehensive information on what technologies websites are using.

What do you dislike?

Not very well sorted. If you only are interested in CDN, can't filter out everything else in the plugin.

Finding information on companies using competitors. Able to see when companies first employed technology to get an idea of contract dates.

What do you like best?

The ability to see the various technologies and the dates that those technologies were put into place so that we know when they are contracted until.

What do you dislike?

The reporting seems to have bugs and go down often. Also, the emails that it provides are usually incorrect or missing which is a big portion of the value we need.

"Review of Datanyze Tool"

What do you like best?

Datanyze is a great tool for prospecting new clients. I use it a lot to help me create a balanced list of prospects. Building custom reports based on a variety of verticals, competitor products, and Alexa rankings really help me to find new clients that are not being currently worked but have good upside potential and are a good match for my company's technology.

What do you dislike?

The only thing that I dislike about Datanyze is the fact that sometimes the different tags do not completely match up, i.e an account might say it is "Fair Game" but in reality is actually already owned by another sales rep within the CRM.

Definitely implement this tool as a great way to push for lead generation

The biggest business problems that I'm solving have been prospecting new accounts that are a good fit. in terms of benefits, I have found numerous accounts that were not in our CRM, or being worked currently, that have resulted in large amounts of revenue once a sale has been completed.
