Excellent IDE

What do you like best?

I enjoy the customizability of the workspace and the dynamic structure of the IDE. Being able to run customized Linux commands with a single click has proven to be very helpful. Not only is it dynamic, but it also has a very clean aesthetic.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the inability to have custom workspace commands when running a file, such as being able to run the current open python file and what not. Setting up the IDE takes a little more effort than it should, and the IDE has a very long loading time, as opposed to others.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have a language or module that is not immediately available as a quick option, using an empty project and having custom commands in the Linux command line will act as a custom project. Using Eclipse Che is extremely easy and requires minimal setup. The built-in file linter is very helpful when meeting format standards, such as PEP-008 for Python.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I no longer need to look for a platform or IDE on the cloud to edit from and can run anything due to the advanced Linux shell. I can install packages and other tools depending on the language and external modules for specified projects.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Before released new IDE platform such as IntelliJ, Eclipse is only one for OOP. That will benefit our knowledge-base ascended without extra efforts.

The ability to share and open preconfigure development environments saves tons of time on boarding peopel and eliminates disparity between developer environments.

What do you dislike?

It's very much a beta right now, the UI could use more pollish and some menu restructuring as its a little confusing navigating around.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The main bebnifit is to reduce or eliminate issues between people working on a shared project.

There have been many instances of people using different versions of su

A fantastic start to cloud development

What do you like best?

The fact that everything is dockerised and a standardised development environment can be hosted on a central server and accessed by the entire team

What do you dislike?

The difficulty of setup for new developers may be a prohibitive factor for many users and ops teams

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a standardised development system whereby all developers would use a shared development platform. We have complex build configurations and this allowed js to simplify things drastically
