"Admin and End User"

What do you like best?

Flexibility, Integration with popular CRM solutions, Mobile. Working with the Endeavor Team and willingness to get us to our goal.

What do you dislike?

Sometime the updates of features or versions seem buggy. It would be nice to roll out to a test environment. Reporting could be better. (SSRS?)

Recommendations to others considering the product

Have a good handle on your own products. Someone must own the catalog of products and rules around those products. Depending on size, could be full time job.

"Sales Engineer - Hartwig"

What do you like best?

The ease of use is what I like the most. With the addition of this to our CRM, the quotation process has gotten very fast which allows more time to make sales calls.

What do you dislike?

I really wish our setup had even more menu driven drop downs. Also, when doing write-in products, it would be nice if there was a way to past all information in one click versus typing each field in manually or cut and paste each field one at a time.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Inputting quotes into our system faster. I am now able to do a normal quote in about 10 minutes versus 1 hour before.

"Amazing service"

Have plan outlined going in do not start unless all product specs are complete. Implement team from all departments for input and needs

"Endeavor CPQ Flexible and Robust"

What do you like best?

I love the flexibility of the product. We have been working with Endeavor for several years now and they are constantly making improvements to their product. Their client service team has been outstanding by being not only responsive, but also very adept at listening to our issues and proposing/designing appropriate solutions. As an example of the flexibility, we have been prototyping with the client services team the ability to fill out categories and products within catalogs dynamically with queries. This eliminates our having to manually change a catalog any time a product changes. This is huge for any company like ours where products are introduced at a rapid pace. Another thing I particularly like is that the client services team does not just handle an issue and leave. They take the time to teach us how to handle the particular issue in the future. They have taught us so much so that we could go forward on our own.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that the administration console is written in Silverlight. The only reason this is an issue is that it will not work with some new browser versions like Edge. I suspect though that this will be rectified soon given the speed at which Endeavor enhances their product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to reduce our quote entry time and error rate. We have realized significant savings in both areas by reducing the complexities by reducing the number of products and options available and by designing rules to handle choices based on configurations not to mention calculations for quantities. Depending on the type of quote being generated we have given the quote entry people the ability to answer perhaps 5 questions and the rules handle the rest. All that is required after that is a review of the products and quantities. So much better than wading through 100+ parts and remembering which ones are available as combinations.

"CPQ is helping us automate our quoting process and capture critical information needed downstream."

What do you like best?

The rules engine is very comprehensive. Our products have tons of different possible configurations based on options that relate to one another in different ways. The ability to filter options, automate calculations for different scenarios, and to give the quoter feedback as to what options may be required is going to be a huge help for our current manual quoting process.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was a bit more operator manual type information available on how to operate the Admin Console. There's a lot there to learn and knowing more upfront is definitely helpful. I know this has been worked on recently and the team at Endeavor has done an awesome job of training me to date.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We started from scratch, so it was a big undertaking for us. Now that we have it up and running, we're very excited about the opportunities that it opens up for us. We're now working on integrating to our CRM.

Don't underestimate the task required of getting it off the ground. Make sure that the rule writers have more training earlier in the process. More knowledge earlier will make more robust rules and a more productive rule writing process. As our knowledge grew with administrating the tool, we were able to do more and more neat things.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Previously we were managing our pricing on word document templates for each piece of equipment. These word documents included a long list of options that "could" be included when quoting the piece, but quoting a piece of equipment correctly took a large amount of product knowledge. The vast amounts of products that we have made cramming all of that product knowledge into a quoter almost impossible. Now anyone can quote. Furthermore when they quote, we're collecting much needed information to leverage in our downstream systems.

"EndeavorCPQ is top notch"

What do you like best?

The functionality of the product for our business needs have far exceeded our expectations. The development process is well thought out and implemented on a professional level on par with that of any top firm.

What do you dislike?

I don't believe there is anything I could actually add here of any value.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a way for our Sales folks to easily quote units from our vendors and integrate their catalogs with our CRM. Endeavor has helped facilitate that need and allowed us to realize the benefits of quoting our vendor items in real time.
