Eventgrid is an easy way to set up online registration and ticketing for conferences, seminars, concerts, tours and festivals. Our suite of tools provides event managers and marketers the ability to manage all of the elements of their events from a single platform – including everything from the initial announcements and marketing campaigns, to registration, ticketing and CRM; as well as follow-up messaging and analytics.
It is fairly easy to use. For a hosted service, website is fast and responsive. It does have capabilities and potential to compete against some of the rival competitor offerings.
What do you dislike?
There are a lot of bugs and discrepancies with regards to data exports. At the time of this review, there is no way to save "custom" reports. There are also many UI and UX shortcomings. Support is mediocre, however, the front line support team is great, but when the ticket is passed off to the devs, it goes into a black hole never to be solved.
Recommendations to others considering the product
It really depends on the skill level of the users of the product. We actually were able to get away with just the raw data from Eventgrid and created our own database derived from the CSV extract. However, no matter what platform we use, the registration system is only as good as the actual registration process. Meaning that there is no point for a more complicated system, if your registration process and management is inefficient to begin with. If you are technically inclined already, and can work with Eventgrid's nuances, this can actually be a great product.
