"Eyefinity has been a useful start to my ehr experience "

What do you like best?

I like that the system prompts you to fill in the next step. One selection leads you to lists of associated aspects of the selection. For example if you are starting an exam and you select red eye, the associated symptoms are generated not only for the tech to remember to ask about certain symptoms but also when the dr. Is diagnosing. The dr. Will select an impression and the plans and procedures are given that relate to that diagnosis.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that you have to completely exit out of what you are doing to look at something else. So if you are on the chief complaint and you are doing an annual eye exam on someone who has had cataract surgery in the past five years and you want to see what year they had their cataract surgery on the clipboard or previous exam you have to finish the chief complaint first. Or if someone is using a certain medication you have to remember it when reviewing the clipboard if you want to document it with the chief complaint so the dr is aware the patient is taking it in more than one places. I also do not like how the wording in the summary is generated sometimes but it does give you the option to modify it if something doesn’t sound right.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We switched from paper charting to EHR charting with eyefinity. Communicating with referring practices has been very efficient as well as giving patients the opportunity to have a look at their ehr through a patient portal access provided by eyefinity.

"A decent EHR system with some unfortunate program designs."

What do you like best?

The program had some aspects that was were well organized such scheduling follow up appointment and signifying if there were to be any further diagnostic testing performed at subsequent visit. This was all contingent on the Doctor or scribe being thorough and consistent in their documentation or the tech would be ill prepared at said future appointment.

What do you dislike?

There were many aspects that were not used friendly. Frequently, when wanting to leave a note pertaining to aspecific diagnosis, treatment or finding, it had to be done on a screen which was separate from the screen with all the other notes. It caused frequent disruption of flow and efficiency while the doctor, technician or front desk staff looked though the notes to find what they were looking for. Also, in this same regard, the need to exit from one screen to get to the next was very annoying.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It was very good at tracking usage of certain diagnostic and treatment inventory and helped the practice to understand better what was used and in what sort of frequency. Furthermore, we could tell which doctors were using such inventory more frequently and helping overall revenue.

"Good Product, but Requires Large Amount of Training"

What do you like best?

This product has so many available options, and really allows a medical professional to customize the program to meet all his/her individual needs for Electronic Health Records. For me personally, the ability to use or omit certain tabs and customize each was my favorite aspect of this software. In addition, Eyefinity EHR is much more aesthetically pleasing than other EHR programs I have used in the past.

What do you dislike?

The biggest con about this software was that it was very confusing to learn at first. This may have been due to my using a different program previously, but I needed much more training on the different quirks of the system than expected. However, it definitely got easier with time as I used the EHR system more and in different ways.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is a great program and tool for any health care professional! However, be sure to get a contact for a good service/troubleshooting specialist from the company so that any bumps in the road are easily overcome.

This system allowed the practice I was in to go to completely paperless charting. Not only did this cut down on waste in the practice, but also improved efficiency and reliability of being able to locate notes.

"So great for any medical practice!"

What do you like best?

Eyefinity EHR allows us to record all of our pretext findings as tech but also allows the doctor to record all of his finding as well. You can easily print prescriptions off and send prescriptions electronically to the patient’s pharmacy. We love it!

What do you dislike?

There really isn’t anything we dislike about this product.

It provides efficient records, saves time, and is super beneficial for our patients.

"Cloud Based EHR"

What do you like best?

Love being able to decide if going to use the desktop or ipad app

What do you dislike?

Still work in progress but the developers are always hard at work making new versions

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Billing with our diagnosis. Helpful to the front desk for them to open the charts i’m working with.

"Eyefinity ehr review"

What do you like best?

I like that it is easy use, it's not confusing to learn.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that it doesn't process payments and ledgers arn't all in the same page.

We use it for eye exams, and to retrieve their glasses and contacts prescription.

"Too many click"

What do you like best?

Very easy to schedule appointment, almost look like outlook calendar.

What do you dislike?

Too many click when charting. Optical feature is not useful.

Scheduling. Patients can schedule online and the appointment will be automatically added to the schedule.

"EHR"

What do you like best?

I like being able to personalize the options on eyefinity EHR to suit each individual technicians use.

What do you dislike?

Eyefinity tends to have many updates that puts out system down over and over.

I would recommend it.

We have been able to use desktops less and less by switching our systems over to eyefinity EHR and going to iPads.

"Eyefinity—decent program"

What do you like best?

The buttons for the program are easily readable and self explanatory.

What do you dislike?

Not being able to go back and fix mistakes after it’s been submitted. I wish there was a window where you could do so (like 24 hours from submission).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to move from paper records to electronic records. It’s making organization and preparation for patients easier.

"Technician"

What do you like best?

It's very easy to navigate and everythi g you need is there. The scheduling is very user friendly.

What do you dislike?

It does seem to have a few corks in it that make it easy to be in the wrong patients chart. The screen with go back to the previous patient.

Less time on the phone.

"User-Friendly Interface"

What do you like best?

I appreciate that there are notepads that can stay with the patient's chart (i.e. personal story about patient) or just a note about the patient that day (i.e. need to leave office by a certain time). That helps me feel more connected with the patients.

What do you dislike?

I am not aware of a function for messaging other staff members within the program, which can allow for more efficient and confidential communication regarding patient documents.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Enjoy being able to make templates, track changes, submit coding and pull forward findings.

What do you like best?

I appreciate the ability to easily look up patients eligibility.

Program navigation could be simpler. to access appropriate information.
