What do you like best?
FleetMatics provides fairly accurate information on drivers performance, work ethic, and timing accountability. It is necessary in our line of work that our installers and drivers stay focused and on a strict time frame with each of their jobs. FleetMatics allows us to review the driving and timing performance of our employees, and to adjust schedules accordingly. It also allows us to give directions to drivers who are unfamiliar with their areas.
What do you dislike?
Not often, but sometimes FleetMatics will freeze or lack accuracy. This could cause our drivers to get reprimanded without actual cause. Occasionally FleetMatics will not find the driver, or tell us that the driver has been sitting for an extended period of time, when the driver has already moved on.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The business problems being solved are time wasting on behalf of our drivers/installers, and routing problems that would increase the time spent driving rather than being on the job site. Fleetmatics benefits our company by allowing us to cut out empty spaces of time, and allows our installation arrival times to be more accurate.
