"A great product that has massively reduced our develoment time."

What do you like best?

Basic functionality is so simple, I can turn around a project in a matter of a couple of hours - but there is much deeper functionality available so that we can do much more complicated things and don't need to code anything.

What do you dislike?

The product could do with better reporting tools, we are finding that the tools available require a bit of setup on our part to export data so we can use other tools to generate reports and dashboards.

If you are considering any of the Process Automation systems, FlowForma offer a trial and are very helpful in getting you started. The system is easy, built on top of SharePoint by people who know SharePoint and InfoPath inside out. There are so many features that make it simple to get your business processes automated.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have implemented a number of processes - new starter forms; waiting list initiatives; finance forms - using flowforma means that there is no paper flowing around the organization, staff know where the process is up to and better control is kept of the financial implications of processes.

"Transforming housing association corporate processes"

What do you like best?

Enables us to do true RAD using agile methodology. Nothing beats being able to show changes to a form or process, due to feedback from testers/users, 'there and then' in an agile scrum meeting. Processes are quick to develop and easy to adapt.

What do you dislike?

Not much! Greater form design control would be welcomed.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Go for it! There are bigger names out there (which we also considered), but ask yourself what you are actually wanting to do with your BPM software? Flow Forma will get us where we want to be quicker and with less effort than the obvious competitors.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

7 paper forms that handled different leaves of absence (annual leave, toil, maternity etc) are now 1 dynamic electronic form. This process is now paper free and fully monitored to avoid any delays. Expenses, pool car booking, financial transfer requests, starters&leavers are all on our radar to be automated online using Flow Forma.

"FlowForma and process automation in construction"

What do you like best?

The simplicity of the application, that lends itself well to moving the ownership of processes away from the hands of IT and into the process owners themselves. This improves the development of a process as the owner becomes more engaged in the outcome they are trying to achieve and a closer understanding of what is entailed in process automation.

What do you dislike?

There are some limiting features around integration with mapping and GIS solutions that would be advantageous to the construction industry. These have been discussed with FlowForma and we hoping to see this integration in the roadmap for the product.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Don't think of the product as simply a solution for IT. It still needs control by IT, but the real power comes from ownership and development of processes by the business.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using FlowForma across the business from the simplest processes, like capturing data for car park number plate recognition systems, to more involved and detailed processes for ordering materials and plant. The main areas of benefit are around the accurate capturing of data in terms of controlled lists and the increased visibility of process timings. In particular with the ordering processes we can now track and address any bottlenecks in the process and understand the reasons behind these.

"Perfect platform for anyone looking to migrate from InfoPath"

What do you like best?

Anyone who ever spent any time struggling against and working around some of the brick walls which InfoPath throws up will love this product. It solves most of those and adds so much more. We're using it in an increasing number of areas across our organisation where custom development either cannot be justified or is simply less expedient.

The support is excellent and the design team seem to be adding useful features with each revision.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, very little. Somewhat weighty file sizes of form instances when compared to InfoPath's xml. Perhaps as a developer the lack of ability to get "under the hood" causes some instinctive unease but it hasn't been a real problem.

Have a look at a demo and see if it fits.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

To take one example of many, we have a variety of forms which handle identity management and after some basic training all of these were designed and administered by the team responsible. The no code platform means that their forms are always matched to their processes rather than vice versa.

"Sensible and Effective WorkFlow construction"

What do you like best?

I find FlowForma a no nonsense way of constructing workflows and data gathering forms. There is a huige amount of functionality in the system too.

What do you dislike?

One cannot update a form on the fly - having saved a change to a step or question, a new form must be kicked off to see the change.

Easy to use, having completed the initial training - company always on hand to lend advice.

We have created a series of flows to deal with employees who leave, join or move within our organisation. It involved a series of data gathering forms, pushing these responsibilities back to the departments from the HR and IT departments.

"A simple but powerful tool to automate business flows"

What do you like best?

The flexibility to implement a very tailored flow mirroring your existing business flows without loosing functionalities. Also, there is no need to be a programmer or expert in building code.

What do you dislike?

Due to the above, you have to start pretty much from scratch to build your business flows, unless you take some of the pre-built processes created by FlowForma.

Try to have the App for mobile devices working with the Microsoft Two Factor Authentication.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We implemented some flows to handle the contract management life cycle for some of our key business partners. We have achieved process transparency, efficiency, accountability, time saving, and records management. We build both a business flow and an associated database with hyperlinks to contracts.

"Say hello to seamless business processes"

What do you like best?

What I enjoy best is that there is no coding experience needed. It's not complicated and easy for me and my colleagues to use. UI was especially important for us as a business and FlowForma delivers a simple interface to navigate and simplify processes. They're learning section has every kind of digital outlet you could think of making it universal for all.

What do you dislike?

Not much at all, as mentioned above, it's easy to navigate and any issues we've had have been easily mended with the help team. The only thing we have noticed is that forms can be a little slow to load up initially, I'm not sure if this is due to the complexity of the form or what?

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's already been a conversation starter amongst clients and colleagues. We look forward to discussing how we will be using it after our free trial.

Every process is tailored to specific circumstances meaning the data collected is more valuable and the forms adapt based on this. This allows us to make better business decisions for our customers.

"Difficult review process made easy by automation that FlowForma app and staff made happen."

What do you like best?

I like that we are able to customize any form/workflow that we create. It is a tool that any one can use with practice and tons of testing any one is able to do what they want in FlowForma.

What do you dislike?

I don't personally like that you can't really customize the layout of the questions on visual form designer. I feel like it's not as user friendly as other application that I used. The ability to just drag and drop given an allowable space to work with or to be able to put the questions above the answer box so that it looks much more sleek.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's a great tool if you don't have access to an IT or a programmer. You can stream line any process and be able to get rid of the blind processes.

We have solve the problems of backlogs and hold ups on reviews as we can now track where the process is being held up.

We realize that we can use this product on other processes that we deal with in the Division such as maintenance request, and Field Hazard Assessment form tools.

"Amazing innovation "

What do you like best?

We love flowforma because it's very user friendly, easy to customize and make changes according to our needs. The pricing is affordable so for a non profit organization like ours, it really helped us save a lot of manual work and increase our productivity

What do you dislike?

I wish that there is a privacy setting so that the contend for the forms are not visible to all users. We would love to put our performance appraisal form onto flowform but because the form is visible to all users, we could not do that.

"Awesome Product"

What do you like best?

ease of use

not complicated

being able to "wow" my colleagues and myself

What do you dislike?

Nothing really....everything I need to do is available in the product, some minor enhancements would be great but that is more wrt the making the forms look pretty

None of our processes are automated and this caused ridiculous amounts of emails back and forth as well as no centralised view or being able to track the process or keep record of this. So the tool saves us man hours and enable us to track and report on our processes

"Adaptable, Flexible, easy to use & configure and has a real lasting impact on changing processes"

What do you like best?

Self Service! You do not need to have deep programming skills to use this platform. It is highly configurable and adaptable to so many business processes. Once users engage with it, it typically becomes their favorite application.

What do you dislike?

The Odata feed is comprehensive but sometimes too much and requires time for end users to get comfortable with the application

Many benefits have been realized!. Most importantly how we have stopped printing & filling so many paper forms. it has had a real & measurable impact on people lives

The ease of use after receiveing the training from the FlowForma team, the support from the FlowForma is excellent and the way they interact is always to a high professional standard.

Nothing in general, we have taken the approach of learning as we are doing and issues we have faced, FlowForma have typically been able to assist.

We are solving a lot of MI problems with FlowForma by removing processes which where being tracked manually and replacing them with FlowForma which gives us great insight to the process in an immediate fashion.

We have also removed manual approval processes which have quickened up delivery.

"Good Business Process Modelling Tool"

What do you like best?

Simple initial setup, good flow building interface, good value for money.

What do you dislike?

The 'homepage' of the app could be better laid out and utilize the Modern SharePoint platform to make the homepage more intuitive and modern looking. An option to add rules triggered when a flow completes would be of value. I would also like to have the ability to add custom buttons to steps and flows.. I'd also like a feature where if users do not have access to a flow they cannot see submitted flows in the list. At the moment they can see and click into flows they don't have access to. They will then be met with a permissions message inside the flow, but I would prefer if the just never saw the flow at all.

CAPEX Requests, Customer Setups and Mobile forms for non-laptop users.

Benefits include speed of initial flow setup, improved ability to track requests, ability to interact with processes through mobile.

"Great for document sign off and getting authorisation from different people in the organisation"

What do you like best?

How easy it is to create a form that would take a long time to make any other way with SharePoint.

What do you dislike?

Not much. Formatting on a form doesn't come through to the form document.

A lot of out forms are now paperless processes and people aren't having to walk around the organisation getting things signed off. The audit process is also improved as we can store things online in SharePoint rather than in filing cabinets.

"Great BPM software on the Cloud"

What do you like best?

It is fully integrated with Office 365, as an administrator, I do not have to create separate user id.

What do you dislike?

Migrating test forms to live forms can be improved

"Innovation!"

What do you like best?

The development of FlowForma has been something that's been needed for a while. The ability to take your paper forms and word/pdf documents and convert them into a digital form have created an amazing work flow like no other. An amazing feature is the ability to build our own page with linking to the forms directly. Truly worth the investment!

What do you dislike?

Aside from the cost to develop FlowForma to fit your company needs, this will pay for itself in the long run.

Currently updating our old processes and building our digital database with company forms.

What do you like best?

No coding, easy for a business analyst to use. Ability to trend information from flows and forms in SharePoint lists and graphics.

"Fast and intuitive"

What do you like best?

Ease of creating workflows without coding. Their customer support is superb and always willing to incorporate our ideas/suggestions

Not much, a few glitches here and there but they get fixed with new versions.

What do you like best?

The no code solution works, no need for costly programmers or in supported custom solutions.

What do you dislike?

Unfortunately we cannot copy questions without any further changes effecting the original question... maybe and option to completely make a copy separate from its original may be better

"Very profesional and helpful"

What do you like best?

There is always a quick and helpful response from the Flow Forma team. They are very responsive to user requests the improve the product.

What do you dislike?

In out situation we have a need to synchronize on premise databases with our Azure databases. The product can only be on premise to on premise or Office 365 to Office 365

A great product to use hopefully it will keep improving the features

We are replacing a Grant Payment system using the Flow Forma workflow tool. The benefits are the speed and ease of development. The products also links through Stored Procedures to our SQL Database this allows IDA to maintain all our historic data, we therefore do not need to re-write all our management reports.

What do you like best?

Makes process streamlined and is easy to use, the approval processes work very well

What do you dislike?

There are some strange quirks to system which can be quite annoying. Also the user interface isn't the most beautiful thing in the world.

Ensure you get the right people to create the flows and control and use the data out the back end

What do you like best?

Takes out need for several paper forms and adding workflows to documents etc as its all provided within flowforma.

Would like more tutorials on rules and more options for rules.

The ability to quickly launch Workflow processes without the need for any code.

What do you like best?

Out of the box improvements over SharePoint native workflow capabilities. Out of the box workflow visibility on the process for trackImg and analytics

The lock down and constraints in using SharePoint functionality with flow forms, example have Flowforma able store files in other libraries in the same site or site collection (currently restricted to flow orma site)

I like how easy it is to create Parallel Steps, Steps and Questions, and re-use these across multiple Flows

I do not like how you cannot alias the name of the question with what is displayed on the form from a users perspective

Speed to load the initial form. There is a huge amount of data in the initial form load, so if using IE with a proxy, this can take 30 secs to load!

What do you like best?

Affordability, simplicity and quick response from flowforma on technical issues

What do you dislike?

Some bugs e.g. having to delete cache, I feel sometimes the user interface intimidates some users
