Geopointe puts your customers on the map

What do you like best?

Geopointe is very easy-to-use, it is now also stable. The program is also very adaptable, we have already been able to insert several custom buttons and buttons in lists to adapt the program to our needs. The program itself is also very versatile in the sense that you can tweak the layers of customers completely to your needs, visualizing within the object the parameters that are most important to you.

One thing that I also like very much is that they have a fantastic repository of information on how to adapt their program, they offer webinars to explain in detail how to use the program. This is not always the case, so it is a noteworthy item.

What do you dislike?

Geopointe has a sync to the calendar in that planned-in events linked to account objects can be imported into Geopointe however the other way around is not (yet) possible, so if you have created a route you cannot automatically populate this into your calendar on a certain day. For a truly integrated approach this would have to be established as well, as you need to use your calendar as well.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our representatives use Salesforce to do their weekly planning and reporting on their customers. Before, they would plan in according to postal code, that is to say, they call up a list of customers through the postal code, and then make a choice to visit them based on their experience, however, they are never completely sure how far these customers lie from another. With Geopointe we can pre-program several layers of customers that are visualized on a map so they can exactly see which customers are near one another. In this way we can reduce travel time and have the representative do what they do best: sell. Also we have been able to configure a button so that when a customer cancels at the last moment, the rep can see which opportunities are nearby.

Look at your data in a whole new way

What do you like best?

Geopointe is a great to for visualizing your data in new ways, specifically on a map. Using the different layers, you are able to bring together multiple sets of data into one map visualization. For example, you could look at your most valuable customers on the same map with high-value prospects to find appropriate people to give a personal referral. The best part is that you can simply start playing with the data as it is very easy to edit and experiment.

What do you dislike?

There is very little that I don't like about Geopointe. Perhaps my only nit would be overall speed could have faster redraws or automatic redraws when moving the map around.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Our company has implemented Geopointe for our customers in the past and their support resources and support staff are excellent. On top of that, the people at Geopointe are really nice!

Mapping support burden to determine potential places to hold training events or sponsor user group events.

Good mapping software, one of the premium Salesforce plugins

What do you like best?

Very quick to get up and running, you can do some intelligent slice and dicing with the results when you start applying shapes to your maps. Was very happy when they started allowing postcodes to determine shapes too.

What do you dislike?

They are at the mercy of Google maps. At some point this year, Google made a change to their API this year which has really impacted the accuracy of some results. To their credit, Arrowpointe gave us a workaround, it's just something to be wary of.

Also extras - there are some great features on Geopointe but they are stuck behind an additional paywall.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are a few mapping pieces of software on the app exchange, Geopointe is up there with the top tier so make sure they are part of your evaluation.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Using it to find leads within a radius of our seminars and then using that to target for attendance.

Navigating Faster and Smarter Driving Sales

What do you like best?

We have 500+ sellers leveraging GeoPointe for Tele-Prospecting and Targeted Cold Calling. The Salesforce.com integration allows us to leverage complex elements in our prospect (account) dataset to filter prospects and drive the prospecting activities we require. The continual enhancements made to product has allowed us to mature as a sales organization and improve the speed and effectiveness of our team. While the product is geared towards field engagement and navigation, it is equally effective for tele-prospecting.

What do you dislike?

We've been very happy with the product and the ongoing improvements over the last 5+ years.

You'll get your greatest benefits from GeoPointe tightly integrated with your CRM platform and sales process strategy.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our sellers are able to build tele-prospecting and targeting cold call "routes" effectively leveraging predefined views for their prospect selection. A process that was at one time on an excel spreadsheet is fully automated and optimized. Our sellers now focus on selling activities exclusively and live in our CRM platform.

A fantastic tool!!

What do you like best?

Geopointe is a great tool for geographically mapping data in Salesforce! We use it often to map out other accounts/leads/opps for our reps and engineers that are out on the road. They can then quickly access those routes (and directions) via mobile. We also it use to quickly collect customers/prospects for marketing campaigns based on specific sales territories.

There are several different use cases for Geopointe, and we've tried it for many of them. Primarily, it's used to map existing customers and route our reps to their locations, but we've been finding other great use cases as well.

There are some great drawing tools that help with data mapping and we love the ability to create data sets on both standard and custom Salesforce objects.

What do you dislike?

My biggest complaint with Geopointe is the exporting features. Exporting lacks some key features that I think would make it much more useful.

Geopointe is fairly complex (or can be) and initially getting started with it can be a little overwhelming, but once you get rolling and get the basics down, it's a great tool.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If it meets your requirements, Geopointe is a great tool. It does most things very well, and will likely be exactly what you're looking for in a mapping tool.

We needed a way to quickly map accounts/contacts/prospects based on regions and territories. Geopointe handles that perfectly! It's become a very valuable tool for our outside sales reps to utilize when planning their day.

Best way to digest large data sets

What do you like best?

If you're reviewing/planning/ or adjusting territories - this is a great tool to use. The Thematic maps, as well as the layering of data sets, and ease of adjustment in territory layers makes this a great app continuously tweak your structure and give you the understanding you need in order to make the right decisions. Especially if you have mostly state wide territories and some states that are split - reports are tough to create with this structure in SFDC alone.

What do you dislike?

The UI is a little dated - feels like you're creating formula fields in SFDC and there are a few redundant tasks when you're trying to make minor edits
