"I loved Homecare Homebase"

What do you like best?

It is easy to manage EVERYTHING. From billing to collections to patient management, to scheduling.

What do you dislike?

We had issues with Homecare Homebase freezing and locking on us more than I would have liked to see.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I recommend using it if you have medicare or managed care patients. It doesn't work as well for long term care patients, but it works GREAT for Skilled visits (SN, PT, OT, SLP, HHA, MSW). It also allows you to communicate with the field staff with ease.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were able to go entirely paperless within the company and manage patients from office to office. This also allowed the employees to stay home in inclement weather because we did not need patient charts in hand.

"Improved bedside documentation and efficiency for clinicians. "

What do you like best?

You must address all items before locking visits which improves compliance with Medicare. Visits have large depth of items to address. In the back office, the work flow helps office staff stay on task and prioritize items. You can also run reports for almost anything! Helps to assess items objectively.

What do you dislike?

Not all visits are the same across disciplines, such as a PT 30 day reassessment does not have the same items as an OT 30 day reassessment.

Know in advance what features you would like and have teams ready to give you feedback immediately.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are better able to compare time use across the board and give clinicians objective data for their hard work.

"Homecare Homebase is awesome"

What do you like best?

Comprehensive Homecare Service

"Manage Employees and Patients Efficiently." They have some awesome Rn's,Cna,Physical therapist and Occupational therapist.

What do you dislike?

Well when their team staff, was attending my mom. They could only come out two days of the week. When she needed full-time service.

It's a splendid company Home Health Base does excellent work.

If you have a nice insurance benefit plan. Most of the time it might pay for your homecare service.

"Home Health RN"

What do you like best?

The time of charting on patients increased three times what they were with Allscripts.

What do you dislike?

Everything, this is the worst software program I have ever used... The hospital I currently work at has a dos system so that is saying a lot!

Bahaha they didn't ever teach our informatics people how to use the program before implementing it.

"This is the best in industry?"

What do you like best?

Linear workflow provides stopgaps preventing human errors.

What do you dislike?

Ugly. Clunky. Linear screen flow makes chart navigation unbearable. Linear workflow means tasks can get stuck within a single role. Moving from a clinic with Epic to this system is a trial in patience. No auto syncing with mobile users.

What do you like best?

I enjoy that the system works together really well with scheduling, billing and patient records.

What do you dislike?

Some of the software seems a little outdated and not as user friendly.

The best product on the market today. You can really not go wrong with homecare homebase as it is used to take care of millions of patients daily.

Patient care is streamlined. The clinician is able to see the patient faster.

"Homecare Homebase for Home Health"

What do you like best?

Smaller tablet, somewhat assists in keeping up with times in/out. gps on hand.

What do you dislike?

can only access patient info for the last 7 days. only shows agent time tracker for the past 7 days. can't access patient info when you are on call on the weekends without the company laptop as well. takes forever to chart a start of care.

from a managerial standpoint, it tracks worker time, location, etc.

"Excellent EMR Software"

What do you like best?

This application is very user friendly in comparison with other applications of its kind.

What do you dislike?

It does not offer an audit trail so that everyone knows who made changes to the file.

This is a great program, however the design is somewhat antiquated and could benefit from an update.

"Definite positives and negatives"

What do you like best?

Task-based workflow, reporting functionality.

What do you dislike?

Scheduling reports are lacking inability to see "the big picture" of all clinicians for the week. Buddy codes are tedious, should be a separate function instead of appearing as an additional "visit" (comments instead of buddy/medical treatment codes).

Streamlined office processes, less chance that something falls through the cracks due to workflow/tasks.

"Easy navigation"

What do you like best?

HCHB is user friendly. If there is a kink that needs worked, there is always a team there to help.

Some of the fields with physician data is not yet a searchable field on a query
