"38 years and counting - still useful"

What do you like best?

Although the language support is dated, the debugging environment is still one of the best. I use it routinely when more modern IDEs fail to get the job done.

What do you dislike?

The lack of support for modern hardware is a real problem. The good news is that this is being worked on, and there's a good chance it will be rectified in the near future.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If it ever makes it to Intel hardware, it's a serious contender for secure applications.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I still provide some limited support for email applications people still run on OpenVMS. Aside from that, I routinely use it as a development system.
