Fully deployed IBM Service Management Suite will be easy to operate single point of control and monitoring for multiple IT systems, such as DB2, WebSphere, storage drives and mainframe z/OS. Thera ere many applications that allow IT administrator control and monitor health of multiple systems. This will enable you to create automated scripts and operations, which will work across several systems. Training time to work with IBM Service Management Suite is is not too long and IT Administrators could start working with the system in very short time.
What do you dislike?
Deployment and configuration of the Suite will require a significant effort. However, if it is fully deployed, it will save time.
Particularly UNIX configuration is not straightforward. there is not much documentation regarding automation. Professional Service consultancy will be required to automate control and management of services.
