"Infogenesis Overview"

What do you like best?

Infogenesis is very user friendly. It is very easy to find what you need. New/unexperienced users are able to comprehend the software and easily figure it out. The graphics are great. Easy to identify the items you are searching for.

The left pane with the different tabs is very convenient. You can go from Home Screen to Tender screen in less than a second. Knowing where everything is located is beneficial for fast and easy transactions.

Also, when it comes to Tendering, it is very simple to process credit cards, room charge, internal tenders. You basically authorize and accept a credit card, room charge, etc. authorization. It is easy to correct a mistake if it made during this phase. The proper tools are provided for corrections: Void, Refund, Reopen a check. It is very convenient for the Guest to be able to have corrections made the same day of the transaction.

What do you dislike?

The Electronic Journal used to be more detailed. It is understandable it has changed because of PCI compliance. It is a great to tool to understand what happens in the lifespan of a check.

As an administrator, we use Universal Desktop to make the changes on the POS. It would be helpful to make a one time login for a certain amount of time (2 hrs or so). After a certain amount of minutes it tends to log the user off.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely headed the right way. The GUI is much better and it is very user friendly. I think updating the EJ to provide a bit more of information would be more useful when it comes to the administrative side.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to make the guest experience more satisfying for the guest. That comes easy, when the guest is able to process a transaction without a problem and can be on their way in no time. Guest satisfaction is very important in the Casino Industry.

It can also be a great reporting tool. It is great to know you can go on the POS Terminal and go the report section and pull up reports that will provide real time information for your restaurant or retail store.

"InfoGenesis is user friendly and effective "

What do you like best?

The diverse functionality of InfoGenesis is outstanding. There are so many ways to customize the product to the needs of the individual business and the support team is on call 24/7 making it easy to ask questions.

What do you dislike?

Some of the updated versions have caused issues in our venues because the functions were not tested thoroughly. Also, the new Electronic Journal isn't as detailed as it has been in previous versions but I know this is also related to the new PCI laws.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In my position, I am utilizing InfoGenesis for several different outlets including Food and Beverage and Retail outlets. Each outlet has their own specific business model and InfoGenesis is able to accomodate to all of them making it easy for me (as an Admin) to assist these outlets and make their system as easy to use as possible.

"Great strategic partner"

What do you like best?

The ease of configuration, and the support.. As a long time property administrator I have seen the system grow with casino community. It is a perfect solution in our environment because our cashiers move from outlet to outlet within the shift. Also, the system is very secure. The permissions module that has been developed over the years has allowed us to maintain control while giving the cash handlers the tools to best serve our guests.

What do you dislike?

There are third party vendors that we have tried to work with over the years, but it has been dfficult due to the proprietary code of IG. Also we are expereincing challenges with hardware solutions that will support the new PCI environment in our business. Sig caps in gourmet dining needs a hardware solution that works with the expereince.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to track usage and open up the system to allow for the best guest experience without sacrificing control. The benefits we receive from using IG is that the system is constantly being upgraded to allow for all the new configuration needs

"From both front end and back end a very easy to use product"

What do you like best?

I've used this from both a front end user and back end programmer perspective. Being trained as a front end user was quite simple and easy to pick up. The programming side was also straight forward with the GUI interface.

What do you dislike?

There was some functionality on the back end that caused some issues while programming the screens. Those were all escalated to the product development department. Other than that, whenever the system went down, that was troublesome.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ease of use for the product was good for hiring staff to use the software.

Ease of use. Interface appeal. Connecting is a breeze

What do you dislike?

Unit hardware is dated. Card readers have issues and must be cleaned often
