What do you like best?
iSpionage is a product that brings a lot of value to my team's PPC research and competitive positioning activities. Compared to other products on the market, the product offers excellent features per annual user license fee and is capable of providing most of the features we use on a regular basis.
PPC Keyword Research: Excellent. Allows us to identify industry specific keywords, both mainstream and long-tail, and customize performance campaigns around that.
Budget planning: allows us to identify target budgets based on the client's need and determine effectiveness based on available spend. This is particularly effective when planning ad campaigns in customized geographies and commerce zones.
What do you dislike?
There's not much to dislike here. If I had to pick something, I wish the team collaboration features were a bit more robust and customizable (but that's being very nitpicky).
Ultimately, we search for a platform where we are able to perform specific PPC research activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Consider this a valuable investment, as it's much less expensive on a per-seat basis than other (more well-known) names and offers many of the same features.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We run a team whose role it is to do two things:
1. Plan SEO and PPC activities based on new keyword research. This is considered starting with a fresh tableau.
2. Research competitive positioning not only within specific verticals, but also in consideration to specific business entities.
iSpionage provides us the ability to perform many of these functions within a single product, and most commonly without the need to rely on additional 3rd party tools. It's only in the very most edge cases that we need to pull information from platforms similar to this. Mostly, we reinforce this data with platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture and various other performance marketing platforms that perform dissimilar functions to iSpionage.
