"Nice, but a little verbose"

What do you like best?

What I like best about the Jira Cloud Bot is that it displays a lot of information. Any time a ticket is created it posts. any time a comment is made it posts.

What do you dislike?

What I dislike about the Jira Cloud Bot is that it posts A LOT of information. So it's a double edged sword. It great that it posts all of this stuff, but sometimes conversation threads can be lost in the deluge of Jira posts.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you don't want to have to log in to Jira every time you want to check on project, this is a great tool

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This bot is great for people that need to be aware of updates to tickets but don't want to have to log in to Jira and slog through everything to find them.

"get all your jira updates in realtime"

What do you like best?

get real time notifications whenever there is an update in any ticket in jira. The notifications can be when someone comments on a ticket, or when a ticket is transitioned from one column into another column in the jira board. The notification generated by Jira Cloud Bot also has a link associated with it which takes us to the ticket details page. It also shows which user has update the ticket.

What do you dislike?

The webhooks required to setup the notifications from Jira Cloud Bot are often tricky and not easy to setup. There should be more seamless way to setup the notifications using Jira Cloud Bot. Also the notifications should contain a little description to expand more information on a certain ticket.

Jira Cloud Bot is a perfect bot to get all your jira notifications in your dedicated slack channels. Jira Cloud Bot makes it easy for you to catch up all the jira notifications in the channels that you have configured to receive notifications. It send you notifications whenever there is an update in any ticket or based on the frequency that you have set. You will get real time notifications as and when there is an update that you would like to monitor.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

we are getting real time notifications using the Jira Cloud Bot integration in our slack channels which saves us a lot of time when it comes to catching up with the updates in Jira in different project. The Jira Cloud Bot app also helps us to provide with ticket information whenever someone mentions the ticket id which in communication inside the slack channel.

"Jira is great for agile sprint management"

What do you like best?

Having boards to track tickets progress is very helpful along with the ability to customize the data on a ticket for prioritization and reporting.

What do you dislike?

When you are new to Jira, it can take a while to get a handle on how things are managed, how to navigate and setup views. Once you have acclimated though, it's like riding a bike.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a clean and easy way to manage development tickets for bugs and features that was useful for both the technology side of the business and the business side of the business. Transparency is key.

"Good Slack bot for integrating Jira"

What do you like best?

Issue unfurling and mentions, ease of integration. Its a pretty basic integration, you select what Jira project and what actions you want to send to a Slack channel.

What do you dislike?

Cannot filter only mentions or actions associated with a single user, its either everything in a Jira project, or nothing.

Short on features - can't edit or create Jira issues with it via Slack.

Also wish it could group multiple issues when mentioning more than one issue in a post/thread to reduce overload.

If you select the "clean" message style it shows everything, so one lengthy issue can create scrollback in a Slack channel.

Theres no advanced filtering by keyword.

You cannot filter across multiple projects

This is the official (and only), Atlassian Slack integration for the hosted version of Jira. There are other 3rd party products that allow for issue creation and editing via Slack, which is what I personally want in a fully-baked solution.

We have a dedicated channel for blockers where Jirabot will post any and all updates to blockers. Great for top-level organization of priority issues.

"Great way to organize specific notices, set reminders & track JIRA tickets within slack"

What do you like best?

The JIRA Cloud Bot allows JIRA Cloud users to setup highly customizable slack channels for detailed tracking updates for teams. Since the notifications within slack can be configured for efficiency, this allows slack to be even more of an important central hub

What do you dislike?

Not much. The complexities aren't too overwhelming. With a bit of patience, most users are able to setup and configure the bot to be extremely effective

Very much worthwhile integration if you use both JIRA & Slack for communication / project tracking

JIRA Cloud Bot is used to track related issues and bug fixes through a variety of teams throughout the organization. Certain changes to fields trigger notifications to seamlessly notify agents, dev teams, and provide general overviews on issue resolution.

"Keeps me up to date!"

What do you like best?

Being in a role where it's crucial to know about all bugs in the system, I love having this bot alert me when new bugs are added.

What do you dislike?

Nothing at all. It gives me a quick glance at the title of the bug, as well as its priority. It's a quick click into the JIRA website to learn more about the bug.

Utilize it! 100% recommend this Bot to any users of Jira and Slack.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The benefits are fantastic. Having the quick visibility and instant notifications of bugs in the system has been by far the best feature.

"Always be informed of Jira activity"

What do you like best?

With this slack bot, you'll be aware all the time of any activity regarding Jira tickets.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes you'll be swarmed by the quantity of Slack's notification ;)

Setup your Slack well so you won't be bothered by unwanted notifications :)

"If you use JIRA, consider using the bot"

What do you like best?

The fact that you can easily share tickets in a direct message or on slack channel. You can see the title, priority, and link to the ticket. The integration between the two tools is seamless and easy to set up

What do you dislike?

Nothing specific. I think the bot populated the right fields

If you are not using JIRA, please do! and if you are, considering using the JIRA-Slack integration and improve efficiency

Instead of having to type in or copy paste ticket links, you just type in the ticket number (INT-125) and it will automatically convert it to a link with a short description which will tell the receiver which ticket it is even if they don't click to see the details. Very useful on cell phones as well

"Jira Bot"

What do you like best?

Ability to integrate to Slack and provide notifications. This is new to our team so we are still testing it out. So far it works just great.

What do you dislike?

At this point I don't have a dislike. Only time will tell.

We use Jira to create task with R&D and this is a tool that assist with resolving issues with our Product.

"Great way to ditch e-mail for JIRA updates"

What do you like best?

Simple commands to quickly subscribe to or get info on JIRA tickets.

What do you dislike?

For future updates, it would be nice to take action on notifications from the bot instead of just getting a link to the JIRA web page to perform actions.

Getting rid of e-mail clutter, something that Slack in general is great at, by providing notifications through slack.

"Useful and moldable"

What do you like best?

I can setup my personal dashboard any way that best suits my needs.

What do you dislike?

There is a learning curve to writing queries in the language JIRA uses and a learning curve to customization of the site.

"Vital to our Process"

What do you like best?

Jira is amazing for bug fix notification but where it really stands out is in the creation of user stories and sprint planning.

What do you dislike?

I am not a huge fan of how jira the seat license work.
