"Basic Functionality Only"

What do you like best?

For doing what it sets out to do, Kochava works as an industry standard in getting users into your app intelligently.

What do you dislike?

Unfortunately, everything else is achieved through a very basic and most rudimentary way possible. Accessing data, setting up test accounts and validating revenue are accomplished through the most asinine and roundabout ways possible. We need to utilize a separate third-party tool to access the data from Kochava directly and draw useful insights, since the tool itself is not equipped for analyzing what you're doing.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Evaluate the business need of analytics with regards to Kochava, since there is a wide separation between using the tool and analyzing the results from your use of the tool.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've utilized Kochava to expand our user acquisition efforts and intelligently spend money for most RoI.

"Best in class by a mile! "

What do you like best?

First and foremost the team and the tech. Kochava has built the best in class attribution platform by doing one thing very very well; "listening to their clients!" Kochava has built a feedback loop based on the needs of all of their clients unlike anyone else in the space.

What do you dislike?

The only disadvantage is there's a lot you can do with their platform. It takes time and dedication to educate users on the platform and it's complexities. Similar to how casual investors use ScottTrade because it's easy to use, the Kochava platform is more closely related to a Bloomberg terminal for advanced users. If you don't know the difference between Kochava and their competitors you're most likely not maximizing your marketing spends in mobile.

I can't imagine anyone not generating huge ROI from Kochava vs. their competitors.

We use Kochava to power all app install optimization, install tracking, data segmentation and yield optimization.

"Kochava Review"

What do you like best?

I love the breadth of reporting that Kochava offers! I've yet to have any issues pulling in all of the data that I need as long as the queries are built out correctly. I use Kochava at least 2x a week and It's one of my favorite tools to use due to how easy it is to pull information

What do you dislike?

I do not like how long the data actually takes to download, this has been my biggest blocker when using Kochava. Outside of that I have had issues with Kochava reporting not pulling in certain metrics at times due to an error on the platform.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend making sure that it fits your needs as well as trying out a host of other products that might be priced differently or that may not have as much functionality as Kochava but are easier to use.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The business problems that we're solving with Kochava are the conglomeration of all mobile app paid advertising metrics across a host of different platforms and then using that data to report on overall application performance. I've realized that Kochava offers a breadth of information across a number of different channels, from social to digital, that make our reporting much more accurate and allow us to paint a picture across the entire digital advertising world.

"Useful for audience targeting when running Mobile In-App Campaigns"

What do you like best?

It was useful to track monthly active users while using Kochava as it helps detect audience engagement via mobile in app activities and is useful for audience targeting purposes

What do you dislike?

We were set to receive data sets weekly from Kochava but unfortunately we had trouble receiving them consistently every week which delayed our work.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Due to some technical issues on the platform we reported wrong numbers to the client and optimized accoridng to the wrong numbers, Kochava told us about the technical issue 2 weeks later which is a very long time in advertising world.

Integration, both initial SDK and partner, is seamless

No way to track spend easily within Kochava

Consider what you plan to use with the data, do you want to track it, optimize it? Consider this before choosing an MMP

Kochava was used as our MMP of choice and works very well with the exception of reporting. For this we have to export the data (Again, seamless) and mold the data with a different product.

"If You're Going To Use It, Pay For It "

What do you like best?

Customer Support is great if you have a paid version! It is really helpful being able to see all of an apps' performance from different channels in one place through the analytics tool or event reporting.

What do you dislike?

Inconsistent responses from customer support for customer's on free version. I also wish there were other options for conversion attribution besides last click.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking in-app actions for apps advertising on AdWords and Apple Search Ads.

What do you like best?

simple to implement on page and on mobile app

What do you dislike?

the UX is not so simple for first users, i noticed them to take a while before getting confident in using Kochava, some ppl never get confirdent.

easier user experience and insights more clear for first users.

mobile app: we couldn't track events like 5 min sessions, 10 min sessions, registrations,etc.

Thanks to Kochava we could implement trackers on the app and track all those events.

"Could be better"

What do you like best?

Many different options for reporting and the fraud reports are awesome!

What do you dislike?

Scheduling reports is complicated. Would be nice to have a "download once now" option for reports that are already scheduled to go out on a regular basis.
