"PSA for Success"

What do you like best?

Out of the box Krow Software provides a complete PSA solution within Salesforce. For an end user, the Krow Interface is sleek, modern and easy to use. From an administrator perspective, Krow allows you to run simple and complex processes on top of their tool to allow you to meet any custom business requirements you face, or to support existing integrations. The Krow team have been extremely helpful in providing support and guidance, are very responsive to ideas and bugs and their product roadmap is focused on customer success

What do you dislike?

When we first starting building out our Phase 1 requirement in our Sandbox area we noticed that Krow did not have as much user documentation as we were hoping for and being in a different time zone made initial conversations difficult. Since then we have been in regular communications with the Krow Team and their documentation and materials library has been increasing.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are in the first phase of our PSA journey which is specifically around project planning, and already we are seeing powerful insights about our service delivery model and time allocation that we simply didn't have access to before. it is allowing us to standardize processes across our business globally and that really is a massive win for us

"Krow helps overall"

What do you like best?

Krow provides our company with visibility into projects and resource utilization at multiple useful levels for the company. From the Project Management and resource level to Executive high level reporting of overall project status and reporting.

What do you dislike?

Based on being one of the first to use Krow, our hardest part was our initial ramp up and then identifying areas that were changing and we were not fully aware how to use. We are currently going thru identifying training gaps and the Krow team has been fabulous at walking us thru improvements of the usage of the functionality available.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I highly recommend the use of Krow for project management, time keeping, data analysis, and most importantly once in use Executive visibility to employee utilization.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Project Visibility, resource funding visibility, more accurate reporting to just name a few. We are able to view actual time required at a task level for a project and adjust our customer pricing as need be when we see the trends change over time.

"FInding our Way"

What do you like best?

I like the project tracking capability to show hours at various levels (incurred, milestone, task) as applied to a project. The summary of the budget hours and time completion along with the tasks specific details on spending is highly beneficial.

What do you dislike?

We struggled with the setup and full use of the application. In hindsight I would say we needed more training and guidance from the Krow team in the very beginning. That said, the Krow team has been very generous with answering our questions and giving assistance. The training we recently purchased has been eye opening and we are excited to really get using Krow.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Explore the possibility of getting training from the Krow team to ensure your setup and use of the application is maximized. There is so much to know about the application. Especially recommend if you don't have a Salesforce Savvy admin.

"Working smarter with KROW"

What do you like best?

What we like best about Krow is the flexibility it has. It allows us to make templates for the different types of work we manage. The ability to create templates allows us to create and manage projects more efficiently. Additionally, it offers helpful features such as invoicing, task management, project management, resource management, and job analytics.

What do you dislike?

It’s hardly considered a dislike, but because there are so many features, you have to consciously decide which ones you want to view and which ones you want to hide.

Recommendations to others considering the product

In short: we like Krow. You can use it as a stand alone PSA software, but because it’s native on Salesforce you also have the option to take all the benefits and information directly from Salesforce. My recommendation would be to establish the types of projects you’re managing then utilize the templates feature to aid the efficiency of your workflow.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are small team that doesn’t have a designated full-time project manager and at any given time we are managing 30-40 active projects. They range from 1-2 hour projects during a week-long timeframe to 500-1,500 hour projects that extend over a year or two. Krow allows us to manage all projects on one system; it is fluid enough for small projects that pop up from time to time but robust enough to manage large projects. Regardless of the scale of the project, we can manage all of them without a lot of time-consuming user interaction.

"Krow System Implementation"

What do you like best?

We just went live on December 1 so this review is more about working with the Krow implementation team. They have been great to work with and very helpful throughout the whole process.

What do you dislike?

Can't really say yet as we have just completed training and have just begun to use. Everyone who was trained feels it is very easy to use on the desk top and are eager to get started. That being said, what I like the least at this stage is the mobile app as it is not able to show drop downs as we need it to. Our implementation team is working on this so we hope to have solved soonest.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The time it takes to enter time information and report on it. Also the ability of our account managers to look at time data on a real time basis and not have to wait for Accounting to prepare the reports

"Salesforce-Native PSA for SMBs"

What do you like best?

I did a lot of research and closely followed the development of the product before deciding to go with Krow PSA. I believe Krow to be the best Salesforce-native solution for time tracking, project management, invoicing, and resource management for SMBs. The price is a great value for all of the features that come with Krow. And the transparent pricing is icing on the cake.

The team has been great with keeping their users up-to-speed on the product roadmap and new features with monthly webinars. Krow has created a great product that feels like it has a lot of momentum behind it. And, last but not least, the product looks great! The interface is Lightning Ready -- and looks great in both Classic and Lightning Experience.

What do you dislike?

The implementation documentation could be more fleshed out but their support team i ready to help out when needed.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

My company was able to successfully migrate from various other SaaS tools for time tracking, invoicing, and project management and consolidate them on the Salesforce platform with Krow PSA.

"Krow deployment & integration"

What do you like best?

In addition to excellent value of the product, Krow team have been, and continue to be (we are in early UAT) incredibly responsive and supportive in what is a very complex, integration build project across the 3 platforms; their advice and guidance has extended beyond simply the product, but into our business process.

What do you dislike?

Nothing to dislike. This is a very complex build and we have just got into 1st level UAT and finding the Krow team really supportive through a process of repetition and iteration!

We are a complex (small multi-national) business and are building out an integrated end-to-end CRM across the entire customer and delivery journey using Salesforce, to Krow, to SageLive.

"Good product but needs refinements"

What do you like best?

Krow is a enabler for Project Management and Time tracking with its out of the box features native on the platform. UI is seamless when it comes to accessing modules in Salesforce classic and lightening.

What do you dislike?

Custom UI is not responsive. The development team have the capability to change but they do not. There should be UI templates given to customers to pick and choose as per their preference instead of forcing on a single UI.

Know and document your current and future business requirements. It becomes easy to hash what is possible out of the box and what can be done basis the road map that Krow have.

"Krow was the best value PSA, easiest to use and deploy"

What do you like best?

We looked at several PSA solutions, both on the SF platform and outside. Not only was Krow the best value in the bunch, but was the solution that was the easiest to use and deploy. Most of our professional service business centers on the deployment of software, so we are very sensitive to where expense and risks are presented. Krow is right-sized for our business, and the time investment to get it up and running was right in line with what we had hoped. Krow is not just our PSA vendor, they are our partner for project and resource management, and they exceeded our expectations at almost every step along the way.

What do you dislike?

Timesheet approval is different for our managers than what they're accustomed to - it's not a matter of disliking how Krow handles it, rather a process change for our users.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Resource planning was a spreadsheet effort prior to Krow, at a resource type level. With simple project assignments per (actual) resource, Krow gives us the opportunity to see visual representation when resources themselves are under or over-allocated. We've not even uncovered all the potentials yet in this regard.

"Krow PSA - Changed the way we do business"

What do you like best?

After conducting an extensive review of PSA tools on the Salesforce App exchange in early 2016, and meeting with over 10 different vendors, it was clear that Krow was the market leading tool in terms of features, usability and the roadmap for deployment of additional features. Krow represents incredible value for money compared to other PSA tool. Krow is also one of the few PSA tools that is Lightning Ready.

Krow is a very powerful PSA tool. The features are endless, but the features we like the best are:

- It is easy and intuitive to use - deploying Krow has been easy and quick thanks to this!;

- The User Interfaces are not only beautiful to look at but easy to use;

- Tasks that are assigned under projects have a direct link to the Salesforce Calendar (which in turn sync to the users calendar);

- The planners, such as the Gantt Chart, Resource Planner, Task Planner (all that have multiple views as standard) mean every user is catered for;

- Direct connection to financial packages - in our case Xero;

- Access to large portions of the program meaning we could easily tailor this to our business case;

- The steady flow of new features means we are always being challenged to utilse the true power of the system and enhance our business model;

- The ease of access to the Krow team for suggestion of new features - we already have had a few of our suggestions implemented!

Most importantly, Dave, Suba and Ralph have made the transition to Krow seamless and have only been very accommodating to any request.

This tool has changed and will continue to change the way we do business. Krow are definitely a long term partner of our business.

What do you dislike?

Dislike is a strong word. Being a problem solver, a little more detailed documentation at times would have been great. That said, overall the documentation is good and when we did have questions, Dave, Suba and the team have only been prompt to reply.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Compare Krow on pricing and features to other PSA tools - you will quickly work out that you will be able to deploy with speed (where you cannot with others), at a fraction of the cost of other tools whilst having more control to better meet your business case.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our business prior to Krow was compartmentalised, had clear divisions between teams, was ran on an alarming number of Microsoft Excel and Word documents, and involved large amounts of manual processing. We were also running a custom, behind the firewall Filemaker Pro database. You can imagine the situation - large volumes of emails and phone calls just to make the business tick - taking our team away from enhancing and growing the business.

Implementing Krow, in conjunction with Salesforce meant that we have everyone in real time collaborating and working together. This has reduced the compartmentalisation and divisions within the business. To date, we estimate that we are saving the equivalent hours of two full time people in manual tasks (per week), which will be significantly increased, as we continue to roll out features over the coming 18 months.

The success of streamlining our business could not have been done without Krow PSA.

"Great PSA Tool built on the Salesforce Platform"

What do you like best?

As a Salesforce Partner we needed a tool that would assist us in managing multiple projects and Krow was the answer. By using the Resource Manager I can quickly see which employees are over or under utilize. David has been great to work with and has listened to our suggestions. I have been very impressed with the continued updates and enhancements that are offered each month!

We use the Agile PM Methodology and I can capture all the requirements of a Story and assign the story to an employee. Then we can use Chatter to discuss any details.

What do you dislike?

It's been difficult to keep up with all the new enhancements. I have a hard time attending all the webinars but thankfully they are posted online.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you think Krow does not fit your need please contact them before looking for another solution. Their roadmap is full of enhancements.

We were having an issue with Resource Allocation and this gives us a quick view!

"Easy to Use and Visual"

What do you like best?

The system provides a single, integrated platform for Project Planning, Scheduling and Time submissions. It's easy for the team to see and understand what they're doing and when. These assignments translate easily to their Timesheets and makes timesheet submission an easy and efficient process. Reporting is as powerful as it utilizes the SF.com reporting engine.

What do you dislike?

Sorting on some screens but there are usually workarounds so it's not really an issue.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure the users who are going to use the system are on board and dedicated to the system. With any new system they are always hurdles and the team has to be committed and disciplined enough to get over those hurdles.

"Simplicity and sense in a space that requires powerful solutions"

What do you like best?

Krow is a slick, highly customizable and tightly integrated PSA solution for salesforce. We love how easy it is to customize to our individual use cases in multiple countries. The ability to have multiple currencies is a God send.

Support and Sales are highly responsive and the team at Krow genuinely want you to succeed with their tool.

Unlike many competing products, Krow PSA is also Salesforce Lightning ready which is great for those organizations that are fully deployed on the new interface.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing to dislike about this solution. We've been very happy.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Krow enables Xceli Global to manage multiple consulting projects in a variety of client sizes in multiple countries, all while cutting down on our administrative time and costs associated with managing a remote workforce.

Krow truly has removed much of the manual grunt work that we used to suffer through using Excel sheets and other PSA tools that did not meet the bar.

"Field Operations Manager"

What do you like best?

The program is a great tool for those with prior SalesForce experience. It is intuitive and fully customizable.

The reporting capabilities are robust and the use of color coding and easy-to-read charts make it extremely efficient.

What do you dislike?

If you are not using Opportunities in SalesForce there are a number of functions that the program has that will not apply.

This product is worth a look for anyone looking to maximize efficiency both in-house and in the field.

Krow has put a lot of effort into making the program user-centric as opposed to developer-centric.

If a product isn't easy to use and does not immediately show why it will make a difference it will never get off of the ground.

Krow's support and willingness to tailor the program to our specific needs has made it the right decision, hands-down.

Project management of various size projects that span across the country with multiple resources of varying skill sets.

The benefits are most seen in top level control of multiple ongoing projects. It has streamlined our corporate processes by bringing all team members onto the same platform.

"Complete, fresh experience on SalesForce Lightning"

What do you like best?

Krow offers full functionality for a fraction of cost.

What do you dislike?

As a newer PSA, I'd like to see more pre-built integrations however I feel like Krow chose the right first integrations.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Seriously consider adoption of processes versus adapting software. Fundamentally I offer this advice for any software.

We ran PSA from a SDLC system, Redmine. While providing basic project management and insight into product and development, it did not provide simple resource management or revenue recognition.

"Awesome PSA tool!!"

What do you like best?

I reviewed all of the PSA solutions in the SF marketplace. Most of the products were either too expensive or their UI was too convoluted to fit our needs (sometimes they were both). Krow's PSA product has an intuitive user interface that allowed us to get up and running immediately. David and his team at Krow have been incredibly responsive to our setup and training needs. It provides great value and that is what every business is looking for.

What do you dislike?

The product is great to work with but could use some more reporting options. A written user manual would also make the product easier to use and adopt.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Review all the products in the Saleforce App store and spend time with their user interface. In my humble opinion, ease of use and immediate user adoption are the key elements in a software that a diverse team has to use everyday. Functionality is worthless if it is too complex to use. I believe Krow has found a sweet spot between necessary functionality and user adaptability.

Managing our software implementation projects in the same place that we manage our sales cycle and marketing activities is a win for everyone. Out entire team has a view into the lifecycle of our client.

"Implementation at Client Site"

What do you like best?

Amazing functionality to address virtually all of our client requirements. User interface was modern and easy to navigate. Ability to modify and easily add features to match client needs was great. A comprehensive solution that was far superior to others we had investigated and implemented at fraction of the cost. Client is using over 50 licenses on iPhones and have not encountered any issues.

Integration with Accounting solutions is big and the addition of native expense management, vendor invoices and billing eliminates the need to use other add ons and gives our client a single view of all aspects of project profitability. It quickly alerts project manager where to take corrective actions.

Our ability to leverage functionality with Native Salesforce has expanded client's ability to accelerate analytics and gain a real time understanding of their business.

What do you dislike?

As with most managed apps would like to do more but understand the need to keep the code consistent. Enhancements are being released so frequently often difficult to keep up with the improvements and begin using them.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Compare Krow to the others that are not on the Force platform and understand the value of being native.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking employees and contractor time. Managing resources. Controlling project costs and eliminating a plethora of inconsistent Excel worksheets. The ability to have realtime data in the field on virtual any mobile device captured and available in Krow was a huge benefit.

Tracking Labor per job with materials allowed real metrics to be developed to do a better job in estimating projects.

"Great PSA Tool!"

What do you like best?

Our company has looked at several PSA tools built on the SF platform, but many either did not have valuable tools for us or too many tools/too expensive.

Krow has been a great solution for our small company, and is very user friendly.

The team that has worked to get us up and running have been wonderful- quick to respond, fix issues, or implement changes needed!

We look forward to the long-term benefits this tool will provide for our company.

What do you dislike?

With new features and tools there is not always sufficient documentation on how to use or configure. Thankfully, David is always quick to respond with any questions we have regarding using the system!

PMs have more visibility into resources schedules and assign them tasks easily Krow.

Execs are able to have visibility into all projects easily and also see resource utilization using the reporting tool.

"An invaluable tool for us!"

What do you like best?

Krow has become an indispensable tool for our business. We work on engineering projects and managing the resources can be a huge challenge. The PM functionality has helped us get on top of our projects, while also allowing the company to manage internal marketing and sales campaigns. Additionally, being able to monitor day-to-day tasks from the same screen has made life so much easier. David and his team have also been exceptional with their support, and Krow has become integral to our business. Highly recommended.

What do you dislike?

Just the shortage of documentation. The guys at Krow are quick to update the system, adding new features and improving functionality. For that, you just cannot fault them. Having the documentation to go with it would be a great help.

Proper project planning, better utilisation of resources on those project, and improve performance and efficiency.

"The Missing Piece"

What do you like best?

Krow is the organization tool we have been missing. Our team can now log into one workspace and have everything at hand to get work done.

Krow is giving us better insight into what our employees are doing and whether they are overworked. I specifically like the Gantt charts, where a manager is able to see clearly when employees have too much work on their plates, making it impossible to do their jobs well, or not enough. It helps everyone use their resources more effectively.

David is a pleasure to work with!

What do you dislike?

Enhancements are difficult to keep up with.

We now have a bird's-eye view of each task and its status, helping our team act quickly when an important project is falling behind.

"Just what we need!"

What do you like best?

It's on the Salesforce platform and integrates with our other key apps. We are a very small project-based company, but our project management needs are both agile and robust. Krow fits the bill without being too unweildy to manage.

What do you dislike?

It's still dependent on us to put the data in. But until there's a tool that lets us download our thoughts into the software, Krow is as good as it gets for our needs.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have really robust project management needs, but we are too small to justify a full time project manager. So we need a solution that can handle our intricate reality, but that's still really lean, agile, and easy to use, while not being cost-prohibitive.

"Excellent comprehensive and alegant app!"

What do you like best?

Lightning experience is very well conceived - nice UX!

What do you dislike?

Not Krow's fault but Lightning was slow in the early days

I would recommend for small and medium size teams, tear off the band aid - go live in one month and abandon spreadsheets and other tools as you go
