What do you dislike?
We are habing some issues with authenticating and de-authenticating user with layer service for android sdk. The sdk is also missing some callback features for loading messages and conversation and the developer has to implement themselves or forking the code from git. Other problem we were having had to do with pending images.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Layer is easy to implement at least for mobile and is used by a lot of other companies as well. When we were deciding, Twilio was also on top of list. We chose Layer since it is focused on rich messaging.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are using layer for implementing mobile and web messaging service for our company. So far it is working great. We are still thing around how to implement carousel within messaging, but we will get there soon. Layer
