"Old School and Efficient"

What do you like best?

That I can tag multiple people, but assign to just one so there are people able to see the conversation, but that ultimately one person is responsible for keeping things moving. Also that we have a company wide history on issues per client.

What do you dislike?

I don't know that I'd have one. We've been using it for years and it was easy to adapt to - even new hires probably take to it more quickly than our own SaaS platform.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I don't want or need bells and whistles so this is one of my favorite softwares. If you like to be able to see most issues at a glance, collaborate without added noise, this is far and away my favorite way to project manage.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Dev bugs and outsourced work with 3rd party developers. This way it's not a pile of emails, but rather an all in one issue/client history that even new devs/acct managers can read through.

"Easy to Use and Read Report"

What do you like best?

The report generated very quickly and lets you know what it is doing as you are waiting for the report to generate.The report is easy to read because it has good data visualization and allows you to spot the main issues through its color distinctions (i.e. red is most important to fix).

What do you dislike?

It would be nice to view the report alongside the website so I can reference elements on the website that the report is referring to. Sometimes the numbers don't mean much you don't know the average scores that other websites receive so it would be nice to see how well the website compares with others.

Recommended to others because its fast, easy to use, and free.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Helps save you a lot of time for developers because you don't have to do research on criteria for each element and you don't have to carefully examine each of your elements to see if it meets the criteria/standard.

"Used for 7 years"

What do you like best?

Lighthouse is very simple and easy to use and it allows some basic customization and integrations. No frills but a solid tracking system that is designed to be as flexible as you need it to be.

What do you dislike?

Not enough reporting and project managements features. Need more summary and graphical representation of project status.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Great product for typical Project Management requirements. Very easy to use and somewhat customizable. Integrates with TenderApp for customer support. It doesn't have enough reporting features. I also have not seen a change in the software myself in years. Does not seem like it is actively being enhanced.

Track all the projects in our company from development to marketing.

"A traditional Issue Tracker with simple UI"

What do you like best?

Lighthouse is one of the issue trackers that can start using after signing up without any promises. Unlimited trial with 100 MB is a good choice for PM or team leads who would like to try this tool. Creating projects and setting up takes a minute or two and you are ready to go.

What do you dislike?

The UI is not attractive and it's better to use Ajax loading to make the UX smoother.Compared with other similar tools like JIRA, it can be seen that it is missing many features like integration with version control systems.However, most of the features and functionalities are working perfectly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are working in a traditional SDLC, this might work but this tool is not for agile and other Software Development methodologies.

I use this tool for a private project to track and evaluate the project plan.

"Lighthouse - Gets the job done"

What do you like best?

Open source to allow for flexibility if needed. It took little time to deploy and for the most part is easy to use.

What do you dislike?

Canned Reporting could use some work for those looking for an out of the box solution.

Inexpensive solution. However, you do get what you pay for. Lighthouse has served our purposes but we're exploring other options

"Great but not the best tool on the market"

What do you like best?

If you want issue tracking and bug tracking tools for whenever you are working on a project, Lighthouse might be worth checking out.

What do you dislike?

I've been using Basecamp for quite some time now to manage several projects at the same time and I have really enjoyed it except for the lack of integrated bug tracking framework

Give it a shoot, you won't be disappointed

As a technical director, I like to be able to review bugs quickly without using my mouse. Basecamp to-do lists are quite nice nice this way as I can quickly type, tab, and hit the space bar to enter an item and assign it to someone within my team.

"Simple but effective issue tracking"

What do you like best?

It's clean, simple and fast. Doesn't have the overhead of other issue trackers. The UI is simple and clean, yet it's capabilities are robust.

What do you dislike?

Infrequently updated, more integration with other services would be nice.

Takes care of issue tracking on more complicated or long term projects. We also regularly use Lighthouse as a way to plan sprints and manage tasks. It's much more than an issue tracker.

"Lighthouse issue hacker "

What do you like best?

The ability to view data in multiple formats that are fairly easy to understand

Not user friendly enough for me, takes a level of understanding to operate fluidly

"Our workhorse ticket tracking system"

What do you like best?

Tagged content, searchable, easy to create a ticket.

What do you dislike?

Integrations don't work; at least our integration with Beanstalk SVN does not always work.

"Simple tool to track issues without technical barrier"

What do you like best?

I like how simple and non technical it is. Anyone in a company (whatever position you're in) should be able to track issues. It works great if bugs needs to be tracked by developers and project managers.

What do you dislike?

It's getting old and the UI doesn't take advantage of the latest trends. It feels like the software hasn't been updated for years now.
