What do you like best?
No backend infrastructure, no additional databases to setup and maintain, minimal resources required to deploy, automated data collection, no real user intervention required.
What do you dislike?
Subscription based pricing can be annoying but the reduction in oracle licensing costs makes up for this. Somewhat confusing reports however this is more of a symptom of oracle licensing than lime itself.
Recommendations to others considering the product
If you have high oracle licensing costs it may be worth it to investigate a Lime subscription. The reduction in licensing fees will help reduce the lime subscription fees and save you money in the end.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
As I manage both an internal EMR and multiple of EMRs for external clients my backend requires a stable secure backend environment. Oracle's database solutions provide a stable, secure backend for this service however it comes with a high cost (especially when compared to open source solutions). Lime has allowed me to reduce my licensing costs to the exact number of instances/licenses I require without having to navigate the complicated Oracle licensing agreements.
