LiveIntent - Banners galore!

What do you like best?

The fact that you can set up multiple strategies within a campaign

What do you dislike?

The awkward wording of strategies v campaigns v IOs - it's not very cohesive to what's generally used in sales/ops

Recommendations to others considering the product

Excellent for Newsletters. Wonderful as an independent and addition to DFP.

It works wonders for making sure our newsletters are provided with the proper ads

Surprisingly effective

What do you like best?

• Great account management that gives good advice for running campaigns

• Robust options for targeting

• Efficiently hits CPAs; easy to measure these when using the right tracking links

What do you dislike?

• It can take awhile to see the channel's efficiency

• Algorithm sometimes serves creatives in what seems like a disparate way; complete knowledge of how the algorithm works is somestimes fuzzy

• Accounts are managed – no option to self-manage (at least not yet)

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take your account manager's advice. This isn't your run of the mill display ad network, and it'll behave a bit differently from what you might be used to. Be sure to add unique UTM parameters for all your campaigns – it'll be interesting to see which variables prove most efficient (CPC vs. CPM; desktop vs. mobile, etc).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

LiveIntent has been great for engaging people in various points of the sales funnel. Sometimes the ads serve as a reminder about our product, whereas other times they serve as a discovery tool.

Great solution for targeted email newsletter ads

What do you like best?

You don't pay for unopened emails like you do with most newsletter ad providers. They have a large set of premium publishers such as The New York Times, Washington Post, Tech Crunch, etc. The addition of 3rd party data allows for more precise targeting, and large format creatives increase the viewability and interaction rates with the brand. Live Intent has been successful across several clients and I would recommend it to others here.

What do you dislike?

I honestly like everything they do. It would be great to have some custom executions or native article integration, but that's not their core offer. What they do, they do well

Recommendations to others considering the product

Ask for the open rates of their competitors and look at the viewable CPM vs the amount the quote. I bet Live Intent will be the more cost-efficient option

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Reaching business-minded consumers. The combination of good publishers and 3rd party data has yielded great results and much higher CTRs than traditional display media

Great platform for scheduling ads to newsletters

What do you like best?

Able to add in email lists for re-messaging

Setting up a campaign is pretty easy and only takes a few steps

What do you dislike?

Unable to effectively push our 1st party data to the platform for audience targeted strategies

Lack of detailed audience inventory

Not wholly effective in being able to traffic all use cases for our operations

No easy way to determine inventory for O&O newsletters or the network

easy platform to learn but may be limited if your local organization has various needs for scheduling to newsletters
