We previously used a desktop based software package and moved to LivePlan in December of 2017. We tried several different products, but LivePlan was by far the easiest and checked the most boxes. QuickBooks sync: check - Understands deferred revenue: check - affordable: check. Manual override stuff to make it fit your needs: check.
While the system understands deferred revenue, it doesn't really understand things like annual vs monthly. The tool lets you hand enter any number, so we got around this.
It only understands deferred revenue going forward that it calculates - no place for me to just say "I already have this much for this revenue stream".
It could have been easier for me to enter data from before the plan started. We only did one year back and kind of fudged it to get the deferred revenue to "catchup" to reality.
